The San Jose training facility saw the new playcaller of the team get put through the paces and suffer multiple pranks by his teammates.Since the season 10 draftee is still a rookie as he stayed down an extra season, he's going through all the hazing rituals that befit a rookie, even if he is set to be the future and the biggest star on the team. Christ saw his fair share of pranks, most of it was small stuff like whoopee cushions, carrying older player's gear, and just anything that could be considered a harmless prank. The most notable prank however, which started with the whole team just not acknowledging him during camp which led to a frustrated Christ, culminated in the coaches having to put a stop to it in fear that someone would get hurt. It simply started with the team ignoring him, then some guys decided to throw various food items at him, a hot dog was flung, some pudding got on his face, and ultimately Christ ended up getting into a bit of a scuffle after throwing an apple back at someone. It wasn't harmful in anyway, but it could have turned harmful if it was allowed to continue, and as such the coaches put a stop to it and told the team to keep it to heckling and verbal, not physical. Dick pulled a prank back in high school that is still legendary in his mind to this day. When he was a Freshman still fighting for time, he had the team show up about an hour early and ordered a shitload of pizzas and sodas for everyone. While they all went at it eating, Dick pretended to take a phone call and snuck out and started running drills by himself on the field. He wasn't out there long before the coaches started showing up and noticing him on the field all alone working. He used the chance to get some 1 on 1 time with the running backs coach and offensive coordinator for a solid 20 minutes before anyone from the team even emerged from the impromptu pizza party. By then, the coaches had seen the rest of the team gorging while Dick was working hard by himself. He was moved up the depth chart by the end of the week. Naturally he then rallied the rest of the team to start calling his new backup by the nickname Slice, which still follows him, 7 years later. Also, he banged Slice's divorced Aunt the week of the 5 year class reunion because that's the kind of guy he is.

The worst kind of pranks are those that start off light hearted but end up being reality in the end. That was the case with the Baltimore front office this past season. After numerous condescending comments made by Trey Willie towards former quarterback Avon Blocksdale, the Baltimore Hawks GMs joked about bringing in new talent. Then they said they were targeting Ryan Applehort. Trey shrugged these comments off as he was expecting a more serviceable recruit be brought into the organization and not some Colorado Yeti discard.

As we continued to glide through the post season, the thought of Applehort being the answer moving forward became less of a joke to the front office. After competing in the championship and finally being able to hoist the Ultimus trophy, the offseason began. The talks for Applehort ramped up and reality set in. Applehort was supposed to be the new field general for the Hawks. This put Willie into a rage where choice comments were made and the locker room essentially destroyed before being escorted from the property. His final words that could be deciphered being, ”If I wanted to lose intentionally, I’d go play for the Liberty.” Jokes on me now.

Also, one time I put one of those fake dog turds in Asipi’s locker. Fun times.

In the New Orleans Second Line locker room anything goes apparently. Rookie Franklin Townsend found this out the hard way when he became the victim of veteran DTs Joseph Askins and Godfrey King. During film review on Wednesday night of the first week of training camp Townsend fell asleep--a pretty normal occurrence after another grueling day out in the Louisiana sun--and Askins and King decided to take advantage of the opportunity, with a little help from coach. At the conclusion of the film session and with the coach's approval, they stealthily slipped out of the dark room and left Townsend there snoring away by himself. All the while they were plastic-wrapping his car. Now this might not seem like a huge deal, after all at training camp the players have little use for their cars as they're mostly restricted to staying on location and have everything they need provided for them, but this was a long con. In the Louisiana heat that plastic wrap melted onto the brand new Audi Townsend had just purchased with his rookie signing bonus, and when camp ended there was a grand spectacle with lots of laughter in the parking lot. Asked about the incident later by the media, Townsend noted that that was the last time he'd fall asleep in a film session.

One such prank happened last season as Lucari was heading home and he went to head out to his car and he got to his car to find out that his car was filled with crushed Styrofoam and it was everywhere. It was legit filled in the from the bottom of the car and was filled to the brim of his car. He wasn't certain of who pulled the prank but he had to go back into the practice facility so he can borrow the industrial vacuum cleaner so he could get all of the Styrofoam out of his car. Completely unaware of who it was, he went home that day and tried to write up a list of people who he thought would do that. He ended up showing up to practice the next day still not sure of who did it so he decided he was going to pull multiple pranks on his teammates. One player had 20 pizzas ordered in his name, another one had a prescription of Viagra ordered and one of the other ones had a pie shoved in his face by a clown who was waiting outside of practice. It was hilarious and it was the ultimate clap back for the prank that was pulled on him.
