*Quest for #1 Overall: Buy or Sell? - RainDelay - 10-26-2018
The Kansas City Coyotes have agreed to terms on an entry level deal for Wide Receiver Rylant Wright out of Syracuse University. Wright was a standout in his two seasons as a member of the Orange and now looks to take his talents to the DSFL, and, very shortly, the NSFL.
Getting a late start in a draft class makes it a hard task to move up the board for most people. Luckily, neither Rylant Wright nor RainDelay are most people. Here are some reasons that the young receiver will make his seemingly impossible quest possible, and how I (RainDelay) am just crazy enough to do it:
1) I have a BIG BANK. (Seriously, even YG would be proud.)
My bank has 38 million dollars in it right now, and I am pumping out graphics like it's going out of style. Plus, I'm literally sitting here writing media spots right now, and that sounds like even more cash to me. I have a lot of money, so what? A large bank helps a TON getting a recreate off the ground. For example, I was able to buy equipment for this season. How many first-season players can do the same? Very few. I am already over 110 TPE despite having only created my player a few days ago. Between my purchases and hitting every TPE opporutnity so far, I have already risen up my class ranks as much as I could have at this moment in time.
2) I have the history to back me up.
Unfortunately, some of the others in this draft class have a good background too, but that doesn't discount anything I have done with and for this league. My first player, Bailey Cook, is a future Hall of Famer, so I have already proven that I can create an active, well-performing wide receiver. I plan on doing so again with Rylant Wright, but maybe even shooting a little higher. It starts with the draft. I can't enter the Hall of Fame with RW if I don't get myself on a team first. History often repeats itself, and this is no different.
3) I'm RainDelay, god damnit.
Seriously, why wouldn't you want to draft me #1 overall? I was one of the people here from the beginning and I have done everything I can to instill a positive vibe around the community, and helped a bunch of rookies out when I was here full-time. I can definitely return to doing the same, and helping this class and future classes remain active and hopefully take this site and this league to new heights. I think we can get there, and I can also take a team to new heights. If you see my name on the board (you will, because nobody has been picked yet at #1), I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't at least consider it. Receiver is a skill position, and well-built, active WR's can make all the difference, especially when there is a user like myself backing it up.
Time to make this dream a reality!

There's a lot that has to be taken into consideration for 1 OA. We first have to consider who will potentially be picking there. Let's say San Jose ends up with the top pick (they're one of the contenders for that), San Jose is currently sitting on Kazimir Oles and Xavier Flash as active wide receivers. While teams going with three high actives has happened before, it's more likely they target a position of deeper need, particularly defense. Consider how we have guys like Freezer Riposte in this draft.
And even if we do end up with a team considering WR for their top pick, look at who you're up against: Bwestfield and PigSnout. These are two of the top players in league history, they're quiet but 100% are guys worthy of 1OA. I think if a team is considering picking WR there are arguments to be made for all three of you in that spot. While I definitely think it's possible you go 1OA, this is a deep draft that could unfold a lot of ways.
