(S11) - PT 4 - Card Collecting - Oles - 11-05-2018 Requirements Written: Must include 200 words. There are many collecting hobbies out there in the world. Whether it's coins, stamps, cars, or cards, there's plenty of things to collect. Sports Games are also embracing the card collecting habit, with more and more games having "Ultimate Teams" a game where you just collect many cards of players throughout the years. Write about any sort of collection you take part in. Graphic: Create a graphic of your favorite collectible. Pretty straightforward, try to include 2 things that make it unique, whether it's a Ken Griffey Jr card or an old stamp, as long as it's detailed 1 item is acceptable (so if it's just the card put some detail into it) Do not claim this TPE until a post is made in the claim thread. Note: Remember, you can link our PT to SHL and receive credit there as well, you can also link PBE's PT here and receive credit here. This now includes GOMHL's PT. Sunday, November 11th, 11:59 PM PST (S11) - PT 4 - Card Collecting - Oles - 11-05-2018 As someone who has played his fair amount of games, Oles has seen many different versions of building a team through cards. Whether it's Madden Ultimate Team, MLB The Show's Diamond Dynasty, or NHL's Hockey Ultimate Team, there are plenty card collecting variants out there in the sports gaming world. Recently, Out of the Park Baseball, a game that puts the focus more on running your Baseball team and building a team that is worthy of a title, released a new mode called Perfect Team. Much like other sports games, this is a card collecting game where you gotta build your team, but unlike the other versions you do not control the team in game, it holds all the values of OOTP while also utilizing the card system, fantasy style team-building that has made other versions a success. The collecting of cards, seeing who your best players are when some may have never been known to you before, and just building a team and passively earning points to upgrade your team makes the card collecting OOTP game such an addicting experience. Of my cards so far, Josh Willingham, a 2009 Unsung Hero card for the Nationals, has been my best player and a card I probably won't replace on my team. Without this game Josh Willingham would have been a name I barely knew, and that's one of the things I like most about this version of card collecting to build your team. Being a pro athlete you'd think maybe I wouldn't have time for collecting, but I've been doing it since I was a kid so it's stuck with me. What I collect is Pokémon cards. I don't collect the newer version of cards. I collect the original 151 Pokémon. As a kid, I would be the big packages and supplant that with the booster packs. Hologram cards were cool, but the main thing was to complete the Pokédex. All these years later and I'm still missing some the original Pokémon. I keep all my cards in a binder with plastic card sheets to protect the cards. I have some special cards, like a Mew card that you got when you went to watch Pokémon the First Movie in theatres. As kids, we all thought these would be worth so much money in the future, but here we are in the future and that didn't really come true. Still though, I love my collection of Pokémon cards and am still working to complete the collection of the original 151 Pokémon. Once that day comes, it will be a sweet culmination of years and years of collecting. Anyways Marquise Brown doesn’t collect cards, he collects records. He smashes everything in his path, yards, touchdowns, women, etc. truly a master mind. So yeah basically he goes to the record store grabs a bunch of records and grabs a hammer and smashes them literally because he is Marquise brown he smashes every single record there is and there is no debate he is the best running back in the national sim football league ha ha Ha so yeah anyways he keeps all of the records on his shelf and whenever he needs inspiration he’ll just look up at the records and say gee golly I’m good because he is good and yeah so fuck the haters Marquise Brown is the goat look at the records he collects and continues to collect throughout his illustrious career bro like seriously he is insane he is awesome and he is the coolest so yeah the joke with this pt is that he collects records and he goes to record store and buys them this is an analogy with him breaking records in the nsfl and trust me he breaks a lot ha ha ha ha ha 222 words motherfucker (S11) - PT 4 - Card Collecting - majesiu - 11-06-2018 PBE/SHL Affiliation (S11) - PT 4 - Card Collecting - AdamS - 11-06-2018 "Bro. Bro. BRO! Did you just ask me if I collect cards or some shit?" Dick Wizardry does not seem pleased by the question being asked of him. "All the questions you can be asking an absolute stud like me and this si the kind of asinine nonsense I get?" His disdain is not well hidden. "No, I don't collect cards. I don't collect anything. I'm a fucking adult bro. I have sex. Collect cards. For what? So the athlete on the card can go out and make YOU money because you got a hold of a four inch piece of cardboard with the right picture stamped on it? Ludicrous bro. This is weak as fuck, like one of those idiots that get sin twitters and bitches at players because they didn't live up to some fantasy football hype crap. And here you are acting like you're some kinda professional asking about fucking card collecting. You should maybe go find a new job because you SU-HU-HU-HU-HU-HUCK at this one. Fuckin' collecting cards. I came here to talk Coyote football and this dingbat is asking me about some goddamn cards like it's meaningful. Asking me dumb questions like I'm some fuckin' mental invalid like Mrquise Brown or some shit. Yo. I do collect vintage kayaks and restore 'em though. You didn't ask me about interesting shit like that though. 228 words (S11) - PT 4 - Card Collecting - Bwestfield - 11-06-2018 James Bishop used to collect NSFL player cards before they discontinued them. He never had a full collection but he always was hoping for certain players that never were printed. Apparently there was a Noble card floating around out there that he wanted to get his hands on but he was never able too. Is there anyone out there with a full collection of NSFL cards, likely not. Which makes these cards all the more valuable. There were different levels of cards, different players, coaches, teams. It was a great experience. I believe there was a lack of designers for the cards and they ended up folding but it was a lot of fun. I think if they brought it back it would be a huge hit. Think of all the new players and retired players that could be on the cards. Then adding in the old cards would increase their value 10 fold. James would have to go back home and see where his binder with all the pristine cards were. Someday it may come back, someday may never come but collecting NSFL cards will always be a thing and I know he is not the only one looking forward to some new cards printed and sold.
