After the high-profile retirement of Arizona Quarterback Kevin Fitzpatrick there have been several sports writers breaking the news that Arizona Outlaws scouts have been spotted working out with DSFL prospect Cooter Bigsby, the quarterback out of Arkansas. While the team has a year to figure out the long-term plan after Fitzpatrick theyt are undoubtedly targeting one of several big name quarterbacks in the season 14 draft, including Bigsby, Havran, and Jenkins. There are a few lesser known options they will likely be exploring also like current DSFL stars McCoy and Wozy.

Arizona is not the first team to show interest in Cooter Bigsby, there have also been reports connecting him with the Yellowknife Wraiths which will be looking for their future beyond Applehort soon. While these two teams have wildly different timeframes with the Outlaws looking for a starter in season 14 and the Wraiths likely looking to bench their draftee for one or two seasons, both appear to have great taste in their prospects. The 6' 7" 260lb gunslinger is reported to be able to throw a ball 70 yards, a kind of arm power that hasn't been seen since the days of Tyler Oles and King Bronko.

There are two other teams that can also be considering the Bigsby Lottery, and those would be the Colorado Yeti and the New Orleans Second Line. Both teams are currently working with aging quarterbacks and will need replacements, with New Orleans needing a replacement in a similar timeline as Arizona. Colorado appears to be in the middle of a big "win now" season and have traded away almost their entire drafts for seasons 13 and 14, which means it will be difficult for them to secure the draft capital to find a starting QB even in a draft class stacked at the position, mostly due to how much they will be in demand.

For now we don't have much to go on beyond rumors as to which team will select which quarterback in the upcoming drafts. What we do know is that it is very likely a few teams will be racing to the bottom of the standings in season 13 hoping to grab one of the top two draftees available.
