*S1 Redraft - 69-40 - majesiu - 01-25-2019 S1 Redraft - 137-100 Part 1: Literally irrelevant S1 Redraft - 99-70 Part 2: The gone before S5 part S1 Redraft - 69-40 Part 3: First Regression Fighers S1 Redraft - 39-15 Part 4: It's getting better! S1 Redraft - 14-1 Part 5: Crème de la crème Okay, first of the batch of players done, but let's remind the rules: We know about who this article will be about, but how I decided to grade players? There will be 4 factors - 3 majors and 1 minor. Due to the sheer amount of players in that draft (137), please forgive me judgment calls in category number 3 & 4, especially since I'm only around since Season 6 and don't have much knowledge about first 5 seasons. The categories: - Peak TPE/100 - Top mark was 12,22 - Career longevity - 0-12 score depending on seasons spend in the league - Career quality - 0-13 the first of judgment calls, basically non-factor is going to be 1 (0 if never suited), 2 was a bit better than replacement level, 7 made some pro-bowl and 13 is HoF caliber player. I tried to be lenient in this category, but once again - I'm not writing a dissertation about particular players, just trying to give a nice window back into S1 draft to have revived some memories, find biggest steals, busts and have something to write about. I put also a lower emphasis on the first few seasons since the low TPE levels surmount to really random results. - Activity Grade - 0 to 5 score, where 0 equals lack update page, 3 was somewhat active and 5 was always active throughout the career I'll try to write a few words about more interesting players, but more often than not I'll just be using the template I prepared for the occasion. One more note is that searching through these old days wasn't easy and I might have missed some seasons if players position switched for example, for such mistakes sincere apologies and feel free to correct me! Player name: Luke Pierce - username: @Ramadeus College: Ohio State University Position: DT Peak TPE: 94 - TPE Score: 0,94 Last season played in the league: S6 - Longevity score: 6 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 8,94 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 69 - Change: +33 Finally, a player that seen more action than in just 4 initial seasons in NSFL, however, it wasn't due to his big improvements, but mostly because of position need. Still one more Outlaws gem picked late in 17th round. Player name: Sinjin Flimjollywop - username: @Dinklburger01 College: University of Michigan Position: LB Peak TPE: 109 - TPE Score: 1,09 Last season played in the league: S5 - Longevity score: 5 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 9,09 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 68 - Change: -21 Up to redraft position 68 and we still have bad reaches. At least this the University of Michigan of Michigan product spent 5 seasons in the league. Player name: Arby Krimlaw - username: @WisconsinBadgers College: Wisconsin-Whitewater Position: LB Peak TPE: 128 - TPE Score: 1,28 Last season played in the league: S6 - Longevity score: 6 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 9,28 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 67 - Change: -31 As you can clearly see the players that are placed in this range fallen of their development quite early, but because were needed on defense remained on the roster. Player name: Bert Metas - username: @Bertiswho College: University of Michigan Position: DT Peak TPE: 50 - TPE Score: 0,5 Last season played in the league: S7 - Longevity score: 7 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 9,5 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 66 - Change: +46 Does the score suggest he was a steal but was he really? His score is only so high because he spent years being on the roster and never putting in any work. Player name: Gabriel Tenzini - username: @princekyle College: University of Minnesota Position: TE Peak TPE: 88 - TPE Score: 0,88 Last season played in the league: S6 - Longevity score: 6 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 9,88 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 65 - Change: -57 The last good Tight End according to this season award stream, somehow I doubt that. He stayed in the league for a while and was quite active in early days of the league. Player name: Ben Longshaw - username: @[BenLongshaw] College: Northern Illinois University Position: OL Peak TPE: 205 - TPE Score: 2,05 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 3 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 10,05 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 64 - Change: -48 One more victim of early retirement, that returned with a much better player this time around in S7 regression class. He was one of the few good OLs in those days. Player name: Jack Durden - username: @Durden College: Buffalo State Position: RB Peak TPE: 206 - TPE Score: 2,06 Last season played in the league: S5 - Longevity score: 5 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 10,06 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 63 - Change: +15 Outlaws and the same deal, they really drafted well in inaugural season which (with other things) explains the first NSFL three-peat. Probably would play more than just 5 seasons if he wasn't playing one of the more TPE intensive positions. Player name: Archibald Booter - username: @PoloPro College: Colorado State University Position: K Peak TPE: 229 - TPE Score: 2,29 Last season played in the league: S3 - Longevity score: 3 Career Quality Score: 3 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 10,29 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 62 - Change: +60 The steal of a kicker, that had quite good seasons when he was of the league and one of the better picks by wraiths in that draft. Player name: Lindarius Shelton - username: @EvanR123 College: Louisiana State University Position: LB Peak TPE: 133 - TPE Score: 1,33 Last season played in the league: S7 - Longevity score: 7 Career Quality Score: 0 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 10,33 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 61 - Change: -50 I just said a good word about Yellowknife and now have to criticize them, as they reached out really badly here, even though the player stayed alive until regression. Hindsight is 20/20 though, as user was quite active before the draft. Player name: Timote Shoate - username: @LT21 College: Georgia Position: CB Peak TPE: 161 - TPE Score: 1,61 Last season played in the league: S6 - Longevity score: 6 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 10,61 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 60 - Change: -27 Defence really didn't fared well in the original draft, as we have one more dissapointing defensive back. He wasn't completely useless in those 6 years though. Player name: Break Bottles - username: @Blake Bortles College: Miami Position: TE Peak TPE: 119 - TPE Score: 1,19 Last season played in the league: S7 - Longevity score: 7 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 11,19 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 59 - Change: +22 Great name, decent pick for the position, bad improvement and mediocre career. Player name: Dirk Cutter - username: @CaptainCats College: Florida State University Position: CB Peak TPE: 182 - TPE Score: 1,82 Last season played in the league: S7 - Longevity score: 7 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 11,82 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 58 - Change: -35 One more player that survived until the regression started, but more had to be expected by his draft position. Player name: Bojo Kicksit - username: @Bojo College: South Carolina Gamecocks Position: K Peak TPE: 197 - TPE Score: 1,97 Last season played in the league: S5 - Longevity score: 5 Career Quality Score: 3 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 11,97 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 57 - Change: +13 One more mediocre Bojo player in other than SHL league, at least he kicked for Colorado for a while in a position that isn't hugely dependant on the TPE. Player name: Stanislaw Maddox - username: @Nick College: University of Cincinnati Position: CB Peak TPE: 109 - TPE Score: 1,09 Last season played in the league: S6 - Longevity score: 6 Career Quality Score: 3 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 12,09 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 56 - Change: -43 Otters and a reach, name more iconic duo. Player name: D. J. Law - username: @Law College: University of Miami Position: WR Peak TPE: 225 - TPE Score: 2,25 Last season played in the league: S6 - Longevity score: 6 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 12,25 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 55 - Change: -45 Finally a receiver, that should even be able to survive first regression hit. What he wasn't able to live through is other offensive players improving on a higher rate. Player name: Dental Dam - username: @Foompin College: Cal Position: DE Peak TPE: 188 - TPE Score: 1,88 Last season played in the league: S8 - Longevity score: 8 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 12,88 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 54 - Change: +37 Ok, the name is weird, but at least we have usual S1 draft outlaws scenario. Also, this is the first player on the list that was able to survive regression hit! Player name: J. J. Reigns - username: @Shaka College: University of Wisconsin Position: DT Peak TPE: 168 - TPE Score: 1,68 Last season played in the league: S7 - Longevity score: 7 Career Quality Score: 3 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 13,68 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 53 - Change: -52 Otters pick = bust. This is known already at this point, but this one was especially bad with 1st OA going into history book as one of the worst reaches in sim league history. Soon after going MiA here formed EFL. Player name: Damian West - username: @GoodLeftUndone College: Didn't attend Position: WR Peak TPE: 204 - TPE Score: 2,04 Last season played in the league: S8 - Longevity score: 8 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 14,04 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 52 - Change: -47 One more monumental bust, that also seeked greener pastures. Player name: Leroy Jenkins - username: @Jiggly_333 College: Oregon University Position: RB Peak TPE: 389 - TPE Score: 3,89 Last season played in the league: S4 - Longevity score: 4 Career Quality Score: 4 Activity Grade: 3 Overall Score: 14,89 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 51 - Change: +9 The last player not cracking Top 50 is the running back, with decent career, that only lasted 4 seasons tough. Otherwise he could easily get higher score. Player name: Kendrick Hendrix - username: @deadendpath27 College: Baylor University Position: WR Peak TPE: 317 - TPE Score: 3,17 Last season played in the league: S7 - Longevity score: 7 Career Quality Score: 3 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 15,17 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 50 - Change: -4 Almost picked exactly where he would land in the redraft. Player name: Cooper Christmas - username: @Ghostspeed College: EWU Position: WR Peak TPE: 265 - TPE Score: 2,65 Last season played in the league: S10 - Longevity score: 10 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 15,65 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 49 - Change: -8 And we have the first player to the S10 finish line! He wasn't a factor back then with his low peak TPE, but still even getting there, is a success compared to other players we had so far. Player name: Ethan Hunt - username: @daBenchwarmer College: Idaho State Position: QB Peak TPE: 395 - TPE Score: 3,95 Last season played in the league: S6 - Longevity score: 6 Career Quality Score: 4 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 15,95 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 48 - Change: -24 A switched to WR and renamed as Gosh Jarden had not the worst career, but still see above for the team that drafted him - yup, badly reached of 24 positions. Player name: Kieran O'Connell - username: @Lainncli College: Pittsburgh Position: RB Peak TPE: 205 - TPE Score: 2,05 Last season played in the league: S8 - Longevity score: 8 Career Quality Score: 4 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 16,05 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 47 - Change: +28 One more seemingly good pick, he got a boost since he had quite good early years but never capitalized and improve beyond that. Player name: Vinny Cox - username: @Gooney College: Tennessee Position: DT Peak TPE: 335 - TPE Score: 3,35 Last season played in the league: S7 - Longevity score: 7 Career Quality Score: 5 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 16,35 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 46 - Change: -31 Yikes, good for his position but for Top 15 pick certainly didn't live up to his expectations. Player name: Arbin Asipi - username: @DeathOnReddit College: UCONN Position: DT Peak TPE: 357 - TPE Score: 3,57 Last season played in the league: S5 - Longevity score: 5 Career Quality Score: 5 Activity Grade: 3 Overall Score: 16,57 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 45 - Change: +21 First of 12341432 Asipis and the one with the longest career in any league I guess. Decent career for it's lenght and one more value arizona pick. Player name: Omar Wright - username: @`xdave2456` College: Rutgers University Position: RB Peak TPE: 265 - TPE Score: 2,65 Last season played in the league: S7 - Longevity score: 7 Career Quality Score: 5 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 16,65 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 44 - Change: +5 7 decent seasons, but as soon as regression got him he recreated and went IA shortly after if I recall correctly. Player name: Mark Ramrio - username: @Anti-Hype College: Penn State University Position: DT Peak TPE: 360 - TPE Score: 3,6 Last season played in the league: S10 - Longevity score: 10 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 17,6 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 43 - Change: -29 Yay, one more player that survived until S10, as a roster filler to plud defensive line dearth, but hey it still counts! Player name: Ian Bavitz - username: @Molarpistols College: Boston University Position: LB Peak TPE: 785 - TPE Score: 7,85 Last season played in the league: S8 - Longevity score: 8 Career Quality Score: 1 Activity Grade: 1 Overall Score: 17,85 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 42 - Change: -5 Absolutely atrocious pick and one more bad otters reach, though this time by just 5 positions. No idea how he went for 8 seasons and to 785 TPE, otherwise note would be perfect and deserved 0. Player name: Stephen Harrison - username: @Noppadet College: Nevada Position: LB Peak TPE: 320 - TPE Score: 3,2 Last season played in the league: S10 - Longevity score: 10 Career Quality Score: 2 Activity Grade: 3 Overall Score: 18,2 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 41 - Change: +60 Big steal for a player that stayed a long time in the league and even was able to see a player with same surname getting drafted to NSFL. Player name: Stephen Harris - username: @WinstonKodogo College: Notre Dame Position: K Peak TPE: 360 - TPE Score: 3,6 Last season played in the league: S9 - Longevity score: 9 Career Quality Score: 4 Activity Grade: 2 Overall Score: 18,6 Originally Drafted by: ![]() Redraft Position: 40 - Change: +52 The big kicker steal, but not the biggest one in this draft. Had quite good and lenghty career. Finally we had some players that stayed for longer than just 4 seasons in the league, some even going as far as S10. There were also some legitimate players that could go for much longer, if haven't reitred way ahead of the regression kicking in. *S1 Redraft - 69-40 - 37thchamber - 01-25-2019 kyle was the original simmer iirc. but yeahhhh his player was uh... not great? *S1 Redraft - 69-40 - timeconsumer - 01-25-2019 Lol @ Bavitz with career quality of 1 vs Leroy Jenkins with a 4 *S1 Redraft - 69-40 - majesiu - 01-25-2019 (01-25-2019, 07:43 PM)timeconsumer Wrote:Lol @ Bavitz with career quality of 1 vs Leroy Jenkins with a 4I see absolutely nothing wrong with this one *S1 Redraft - 69-40 - timeconsumer - 01-25-2019 (01-25-2019, 02:45 PM)majesiu Wrote:I see absolutely nothing wrong with this one I'm sure you don't.
