(S14) PT 4 - Cameo - Bigred1580 - 04-15-2019 (S14) PT 4 - Cameo Complete the weekly Point Task to earn 3 TPE! All written responses must be at least 200 words. All graphic responses must show at least some effort. Do not claim this TPE until it has been graded and posted to the S14 claim thread. Also, if you try to build your word count by being super repetitive and rambling on, you will not get full credit. This task is due next Sunday, April 21, at 11:59 EST. Have fun and get writing! Written Option: Your player is more than just an athlete, they are a brand. You want to expand your brand and what better way to do it but by making a cameo appearance on a movie or show. Like Ed Sheeran on game of thrones or Stan Lee in marvel movies. What show/movie does your player make a cameo appearance in? What does he/she do? Why do you want them in that show/movie? Or Graphic Option: Create a graphic in which you insert your player render in said show. Reminder, Graphic Options are unable to be submitted for GFX grades. It is either one or the other. Probably not, but Richard D'Attoria V was very proud to appear on Jeopardy! once during the Athlete Jeopardy or whatever thing it's called. He was up against some minor-league hockey player and a mediocre golfer, but he easily beat both. Richard D'Attoria V played quiz bowl through out high school, where he led his high school to top 8 in the country. For those that don't know, quiz bowl is basically trivia but you get more points for buzzing early. Richard D'Attoria V won the next game in the athletes tournament, this time even beating some of the bigger names in the tournament like Aaron Rodgers. Richard started this match absolutely flaming hot - racking up a spectacular sum of $7400 during the first round. However, he bet every last drop of it on a daily double in the double jeapordy round, and then was asked an obscure technicality about soccer. He, of course, missed the question and suddenly found himself in 3rd place, many dollars behind Rodgers. Richard D'Attoria V clawed his way back into the thick of it, then bet all his money on final jeopardy when he saw the category: "football". Sadly, he realized that Rodgers would have as well, but Rodgers got it wrong and Richard wins the tournament! However, as a bear, his options are a little limited: The Walking Dead didn't want a zombie polar bear, the Game of Thrones reboot thought that three polar bear white walkers would be too much, and the company behind Frozen 4: Freezer Burn has a long-standing "anti-bear" policy. Bode was beginning to lose hope that he'd get a chance to show off his acting abilities. It was a big surprise, then, when the Coca-Cola company approached Bode with an impressive offer. They wanted Bode to be the star in a series of Coca-Cola commercials, which recreated the classic "polar bear drinks a Coke" commercials of the past. The company was hoping that the nostalgia factor of the commercials would drive sales, and help them compete with Pepsi's latest success, "Giga-Pepsi." Bode quickly agreed to the deal. The plan is for Bode to fly to Los Angeles during the offseason to shoot several of the commercials, which will start being aired at the start of the next NSFL season. In fact, Coca-Cola has already purchased a time slot during the Ultimus Championship to air one of these ads, so even if Bode doesn't make the big game himself, he'll still get a chance to be part of the festivities. This post is sponsored by Coca-Cola. "Coca-Cola: The breakfast of champions!" (S14) PT 4 - Cameo - Rradum - 04-15-2019 Cameron Olsen has always been a lover of the TV Show The Office. With it's final season wrapping up years ago, Olsen still yearned to be a part of an episode. What he didn't know was that the writers and cast were secretly planning a Reunion Christmas Special for this year. Steve Carrell called Olsen directly and asked him if he wanted to be a part of the one off episode in some capacity. Olsen was ecstatic and said yes immediately. He told his family and friends, did a press release to multiple news outlets and even posted some screenshots of the messages from Carrell on Twitter. What he didn't know was that he was going to be playing the role of Dwight's brother Mose as they were unable to reach the original actor for the part. In the original show, Mose was a dirty, strange, backwoods character who would go along with everything that Dwight wanted to do. The episode has yet to come out but Olsen said, "It was an amazing experience, I just wish I had told them earlier that I was allergic to beets." So I think it's safe to say that his cameo will be a must watch for all of his fans and fans of the show. Next week, millions (if not billions) of Marvel fans will witness cinema history, as Phase 3 of Marvel Studio comes to a close with Avengers: Endgame. If you pay close attention, you may see Mr. Espeeyeeseetee in a couple of scenes, one of which he shares with Marvel legend, Stan Lee. Having signed a NDA for this exclusive role, we can't give away very much of what was shot with Ahri without getting in serious legal trouble. We can say that he's getting good screentime (he's not just a background extra) and he may even have a line or two. Even though Ahri was done with shooting in just a couple days, Kevin Feige expressed how big a fan he was of Ahri's game and let him read the script in its entirety, and AE was later heard saying "they're never going to see it coming". There's pretty much nothing else that can be said about the experience (because of the NDA), other than AE was incredibly impressed by the family culture that was obvious on the Marvel set, and he's even considered moving into acting once his NSFL career is complete. (S14) PT 4 - Cameo - Leafs4ever - 04-15-2019 If there was something that I would love to be a cameo in, it's The Simpsons. I don't even care that it's not live action. It's my favourite show and I would love to have a character in the The Simpsons. Having the animators Simpsonize me and place me into Springfield would be a dream come true. I would love to be a new student in Mrs. Krabappel's class, just moving from Canada. The Simpsons have had their fair share of interactions with Canada and I would love to be another one with Bart. Bart and Milhouse would see me trying to pull a prank on Principal Skinner and we bond over that. We'd become fast friends and I'd get to hang out at the The Simpsons house with Bart. Sadly, after hanging out together for a couple of weeks, my parents inform me that we're moving once again. As a going away present, Bart, Milhouse, and I plan one last prank on Skinner. It's a bittersweet ending to what could of been a long friendship together. Now, of course, this sounds like a terrible episode, which is why I would let the writers do their job. Honestly, whatever they come up with would be perfect. (206 words) (S14) PT 4 - Cameo - Frick_Nasty - 04-15-2019 Mo Berry has just announced that he is getting a small role in Toy Story 4. Berry went on to describe why he was excited to do a voice roll in the movie. "Like I said earlier I grew up watching toy story and the messages the movies give have always hit home. So when Pixar reached out to me about a minor role I could not say no." Berry was asked if he has any other plans for movies or tv in the future. If I had the time maybe but right now my focus on winning championships here. |
