The deal was laid out as 16/4/4, with 24 million in guaranteed money, with an average annual value of 8 million dollars per year. The Otters front office sees this as a well-deserved investment in their heir apparent’s development at the quarterback position. Franklin Armstrong had a season to remember as he brought home the Ultimini Trophy, Quarterback of Year, Offensive Rookie of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year and the Most Valuable player awards. We caught up with the young gun in order to ask the question on everybody’s minds; “what on earth do you plan to do with all that money?”. “I haven’t really figured that out yet” said Armstrong with a laugh. “The Otters front office told me they wanted to heavily front load the deal. They had a lot of cap space and I said, heck, why not? Let me cash in while I can. Football Is a crazy game and you can have a career ending injury at any moment. I plan to get a new car, some new clothes, and I guess this much money can get me a couple girlfriends perhaps? In all seriousness, a lot of this money will go into a personal chef to get my nutrition right, and a couple trainers. I intend to step into the NSFL the best me I can be”. And there you have it folks! We expect to see Mr. Armstrong with some new bling and possibly a girlfriend to start the S15 DSFL season. As a member of an expansion team, he has heard he might be making DSFL salary this season, which would be okay with him. He would love some closure on this matter at some point in the near future, but as long as he gets paid eventually he's okay with it since he can't spend any TPE he gets through equipment purchases at the moment anyway. On to what he's buying, Guy will likely be bribing some movie crews to give him background roles in upcoming films. He wants to get some exposure on camera so that one day he can be a star, but he still has trouble being in front of a camera. If you happen to see him drenched in sweat or constantly adjusting his hair and clothes in the background of a movie you see in the future please just ignore it. He's trying his best, and you wouldn't want to look like a fool in 15 years when Guy is a star and you made fun of him in a tweet way in the past. We all know that tweets are forever guys, don't forget that. (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - Air Crou - 05-11-2019 Got drafted, signed a contract, got the fat bonus. What do I buy though? First and foremost, a home. I know I may not stay in my current team forever, but I need a place to stay. Cheaper than a hotel, possibly better than what my team could offer. Don't quote me on that, I may be wrong and the team could have found me a better option for less money. But who cares? As long as I got a roof over my head, it's all good. Next, a motorcycle. Man I looooove bikes. Easy and relatively cheap to maintain, don't need much gas, and, obviously, it's easier to go from home to the training grounds and back. I mean, it's faster. Then maybe some decent clothes and some jewellry. Chains, earrings, watches, all that stuff. Also, a beast of a PC. A $10k gaming monster. PC master race you console plebs! *laughs* But obviously, a big stack of the bonus will go towards a home and a new car for my parents. I mean, my dad has been driving a pile of garbage for the past 10 years. He has already spent three times as much money in repairing the car as he spent in buying it. Sheesh! Oh, and pay for them to go to a nice and long vacation. They deserve it. Imagine what they went through while I was younger. I still wonder how they didn't kill me! *laughs* (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - Rising Equinox - 05-11-2019 Not including Franklin Armstrong obviously, I actually received the highest rookie contract on the Otters this season. It's insane to see how far I've come and how much faith they have in me. In regards to how I will spend the money, I already have a plan that I've set in motion. I haven't really received my rookie contract money yet, but I know exactly what I've going to do with it. I'm not going to make any huge or extravagant purchases. Instead, I'm going to invest the money in myself. If I use the contract money to buy training and the latest, greatest equipment, I will be able to continue to improve and be the best player I can possibly be. By becoming better and investing in myself by doing this, I will hopefully continue to earn more and more later on in my career, and this plan I have will pay off in the end. Any other large or unnecessary purchases will just distract me from my passion for football and my goals that I've set for myself in the future. I don't want to be that guy who retires from football with no money to his name and ends up living on the streets. Some people may not agree with this plan, but I think it's just a wise way of spending my new found wealth. (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - Frick_Nasty - 05-11-2019 Mo Berry heard his name called for Colorado Yeti first pick of the S15 draft. Berry's mind was focused on one thing, getting on the field. Unfortunately the game is also a business. So Berry got on the first plane to Colorado to get a contract worked out so he could get into the facilities and start training and learning the defensive scheme's he would be calling from the middle linebacker spot. So when Berry sat down with head officials of the Colorado organization, Berry had one thing in mind, no trade clause. Berry was going to give his all to the organization that wanted him as their first choice. Berry stated pay me whatever seems fair. We can work out bonuses after I prove my worth on the field. Berry walked out of the office with 12.5 million contract over 3 years with 8.5 million guaranteed. Berry then went out and got the latest equipment for the upcoming season. Berry also purchased a brand new house for his grandmother and hired a house staff to help take care of her while Berry is busy playing ball. Berry vowed to take care of his grandmother just the same way she did for him. ![]() ![]() ![]() (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - ValorX77 - 05-11-2019 Your Boy Leafer just got himself a fat juicy contract from Yellowknife. What does he do with it? He helps his local community back in his hometown of Portland. First off, He gives money to homeless shelters, to supply the homeless with the resources they need. Next, He gives some money to the Portland Diamond Project, a proposal to bring a baseball team to Portland. Finally, he uses the last of his money for his equipment, and, his meals. Or so you thought? Leaf has done more things for the Norfolk community. For example, Helping break ground for a new children’s hospital, replacing an old insane asylum. He also does community outreach events, like supporting equal and fair wages for all, and of course, helping fund new schools in the Norfolk area. You thought he would stop there? In Yellowknife, He helps the homeless by constructing several igloo villages with his bare hands, and is able to hunt down moose, and cook them for the village. Leaf of course, never disturbs the graveyard of the fallen players because he’s always spooky in Yellowknife! He also funds anti-juul campaigns to promote good hygiene in teens, because one juul equals 20 cigarettes. Ryan Leaf Jr, He’s something of a businessman himself (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - Jonny2x - 05-11-2019 I am working as hard as I know how to make the Portland Pythons a better team for drafting me. When I see my first signing bonus, I will be buying a new tractor for my dad back home in Clintonville, Wisconsin. If I work as hard as I know how from now until I die, I still will not have come close to the amount of work my father has put in over the years. I remember multiple times holding the flashlight and fetching tools for my dad after midnight. This wouldn’t be a big deal to most but being a farmer, my dad’s work day started at 3:30 am every single day. Now on those late nights he would have pity on me and let me sleep in until 6:30 the next morning. All this would mean is he worked twice as hard for the first 3 hours of his day. He probably has no idea how aware of his work ethic I have always been. I was a normal teenager who liked to sleep but for me that meant 6:30 am instead of noon like most teenagers. You can be sure when I sign on that dotted line, my father will have a John Deere model 5050 delivered to his home that same day. He probably wouldn’t accept it if I asked him to shop with me so I intend to force it on him as it will help alleviate his workload especially since I am away. I’ll tweet out his reaction @samthetank2 when it arrives! (S15) - PT1 - Signing Bonus - Dangles13 - 05-11-2019 PBE PT |
