The sim run/pass ratios in the team strategy are pretty watered down by default. Even setting your run to 5 (supposedly run heavy) doesn't actually change the ratio that much. I suggest we change the advanced playcall settings to give more weight to the coaches strategy of run vs pass. If we want to throw the ball 70 times a game or run it 50 times a game......LET US!

Seconded.

I'm fairly ignorant about the settings in general, I would assume defense has a run v pass ratio as well?

Or blitz? ????

I have noticed this as well. Say it's 3rd and long and you set your pass ratio to the max of 100 (heavy pass). The play call will be a run about 30-40% of the time.

Not going to pretend like I know a lot on the issue, but this seems like a good idea

I also know nothing about the sim, but if there is more flexibility for GMs that can't be bad.

I think it's a pretty easy change from my perspective. I have to move like two sliders one time and them I'm good.

The only word of caution I would offer is that if GMs/people setting the ratios are a bit new, they could really screw themselves by changing that. We'd definitely need to make sure everyone is clear on what it means but that shouldn't be an issue.

We also don't have to move it ALL the way, we could do it any amount, but if we're going to do it we may as well do it so it's completely controlled by the play calling settings.

Just let me know what the plan is and I can make it happen.

I would advise you consult the wolverine boards, maybe PM a mod even and ask how much they recommend you alter the sliders. I really don't think you should set them ALL the way.

Setting them all the way will result in the coach settings 100% controlling the playcall. So if they set the pass to 100 it will 100% pass it everytime.

I don't think it's necessarily a terrible idea. I think a lot of guys would prefer to know exactly what they're getting when they put in a number. If they know with certainty that putting 80 on third down means they are going to pass the ball 80% of the time, that sounds better than someone trying to guess what the number needs to be in order to achieve a 75% or 80% pass.

I guess it boils down to would you rather know with certainty what your scheme is? Or would you rather have a murky educated guess?

I've been trying to find a thread I found about it on the wolverine forums, here is one I found although it's not the one I am looking for http://www.wolverinestudios.com/board/view...p?f=214&t=21879
