(S30) PT 1 - Going International
Complete the weekly Point Task to earn 3 TPE! All written responses must be at least 200 words. New for this season, PT's may be submitted in another language, as long as you mention what language you are translating into, to make the job of the grader easier.

Do not claim this TPE until it has been graded and posted to the S29 claim thread. This task is due next Sunday, July 25, at 11:59 ET. Have fun and get writing!

Written option: With the growth of the game of football across the world, some countries keep calling your team to go there for a workshop, to help them be better at the game. Your team decides to send someone in the offseason to travel there. With the offseason now over, who was picked from your team to travel? What country did they end up travelling to? What did they do when they reached there to help direct a workshop?

Graphic option: Make a graphic that shows yourself or a teammate in another country leading a training camp sort of event. You can include flags, colors, or any other resembling features from other countries along with it if you would like. Graphics must show more effort than text on an unedited picture and some creativity or you will not recieve any credit.

Affiliate claims from SHL and PBE are accepted; link directly to your post and add a note if your username is different there. Make sure the week of the affliate PT matches with the week of this point task.

Written and graphic responses must be posted solely in this thread and not for additional media credit. Also, if you try to build your word count by being super repetitive and rambling on, you will not get full credit. If you are caught plagiarizing/stealing someone else’s work, you will be punished as HO sees fit, including the potential loss of TPE or money. Do your own work please.

Seeing as us Luchadores hail from Tijuana, Mexico, we like to consider ourselves football ambassadors of sorts to the US. Plus, we're only a stone's throw away from U.S. soil. Add on the storied history of the Luchadores and our winning culture, and we are presented with the perfect opportunity to provide a workshop for many of the eager "futbol Americano" players who enjoy the game in Mexico. The diversity of the ISFL has shone through the signing of many international prospects, and it has been commonplace to find a team full of players from many different geographic backgrounds.

Because we are located within Mexico, our team was lucky enough to travel as a whole and share our knowledge of the game of football. We decided to hold our workshop at a local, unaffiliated stadium called "Estadio Caliente". The stadium was a popular sports locale, although primarily for soccer, or, "futbol". The turnout was great, however, with a mix of over 100 casual football players and DSFL hopefuls in attendance. In order to accommodate attendees of differing experiences, we first had one player from each position group explain their position, what their role was on the field, and their personal experience being in a professional football league. The players then spent some time answering any questions that they were asked. To no surprise, our beloved quarterback, Ishe... ReallyInvisible, had a long line of inquisitive fans, many of whom simply asked, "¿Me das tu autógrafo?", which we held time for at the end of the workshop.

We then decided to split the workshop into groups of offense and defense and demonstrate a few of our basic drills for different positions. We allowed for some audience participation, as a hands-on approach was something we wanted to incorporate in the workshop. This included giving some of the younger attendees the chance to try and knock Gyles Marret and Zoltan off-balance, or for a luckier handful, catch a pass from the local favorite, ReallyInvisible. Although the hands-on portion didn't last long, it was still very well received and both the participants and the players had a great time interacting with one another.

All in all, the workshop was a great success. We believe it helped us grow individually and as a team. We enjoyed the opportunity to impart our knowledge of the game of football to a group of athletes who were eager and ready to learn, and we look forward to replicating this experience in the coming years.
