(S30) PT 3 - Short-Term Goals
Complete the weekly Point Task to earn 3 TPE! All written responses must be at least 200 words. New for this season, PT's may be submitted in another language, as long as you mention what language you are translating into, to make the job of the grader easier.

Do not claim this TPE until it has been graded and posted to the S30 claim thread. This task is due next Sunday, August 8th 2021, at 11:59 ET. Have fun and get writing!

Written option: The season is at it's half way point. Your player has hopefully been performing up to your standards, but the sim gods are not always as nice as you want them to be and there is always things to improve on. Talk about one aspect of your player's game that you want to be improved upon by the end of the season, and how you plan on improving upon that certain aspect.

Graphic option: Create a graphic displaying something that you want your player to improve on by the end of this season. Make sure to put some effort into it!

Affiliate claims from SHL and PBE are accepted; link directly to your post and add a note if your username is different there. Make sure the week of the affliate PT matches with the week of this point task.

Written and graphic responses must be posted solely in this thread and not for additional media credit. Also, if you try to build your word count by being super repetitive and rambling on, you will not get full credit. If you are caught plagiarizing/stealing someone else’s work, you will be punished as HO sees fit, including the potential loss of TPE or money. Do your own work please. If you have a non-full PT pass and would like to use it this week, make sure to post in the thread. No need to post in the thread, with a full PT pass.

If you have ideas for future PTs, visit the link below, and your idea may be used next week!!

As it stands right now, HAKK has 23 tackles, 1 sack, 0 interceptions, and 0 pass deflections. HAKK is a pass-rushing linebacker, so the lack of interceptions and pass deflections is not surprising. However, HAKK would love to have more sacks. HAKK is shooting for 16.0 sacks a season, but that most likely will not happen for a few seasons. HAKK is a very young, low tpe player, playing behind two veteran Linebackers. I'm not surprised at the low amount of stats, so I really don't have anything I can complain about. The only thing I could nitpick is the number of pass deflections since HAKK had so many in the DSFL. However, the DSFL is totally different from the ISFL, so I rest my case. One person I'm sure could complain about the sim, however, is Starboy. Starboy had a notorious streak of terrible luck at QB despite being one of the highest TPE users out there. Starboy always seem to throw picks at the worst times ever, despite having the INT which usually minimizes those INTs. Although Starboy is having better luck now with his cornerback creation, The streaks of terrible luck they had at QB will surely not be forgotten any time soon.

Currently tony demonson has said too be working on his hands so quaterback Dexter Zarylin will be more confindent too throw his way, Tony came into his rookie season not nearly where it should of been but after lots of hard work he has seemed too be making progress with his hands after he has finished his practices with his hands Tony has been instinting on getting even faster and doing some speed boot camps too help that. Tony really has his eyes on the Offensive Rookie of the year award in the DSFL and he plans too make aranangments too his training too stay in compention for it. Tony and the Bucs want too be able too Compete for it all and come home champions so whatever training that may take he will try and stay above his compention in whatever way possible. Tony was preseint on getting everything up too snuff early so them scouting him from ISFL will see he is perfectly eliagable too start becoming a deep threat in the leauge once he gets drafted and his chance at a shot at the big leauges. I wouldnt count Mr.Demonson out he is putting up crazy numbers already in his rookie year after watching the whole draft and never hearing his name once look for things too change when the ISFL draft happens.

I originally thought I was starting to hit a downturn with my career, especially after I was starting to not feel my best about a year ago, but luckily for me, that is far from the truth, even more so with how my performance has been halfway through the season! I am easily in awards contention for another season! But this time... BOTH FOR KICKING AND PUNTING!

On the offensive end of things and as a previous "Kicker of the Year" winner, I have only missed 2 kicks all season which is great especially I have kicked the 3rd highest amount of Extra Points, and I'm tied for the 5th most field goals. The only person with a perfect season left has kicked the fewest amount of field goals out of anyone so it will be really interesting to see if they can keep the streak going. I wish them all the luck!

And on the defensive end of things and as a previous "Punter of the Year" winner. I am absolutely a big part of why we're one win away from the top of our division. I have punted the 3rd most times in the league, I have the 2nd most punts within the 20--yard-line but the biggest stat is my 50-yard average punt... #1 in the league this season.

I'm coming for those awards!

Agent Tesla: We are seven weeks into the season and you are second among listed defensive tackles in tackles Magnus! Also tied for fourth in sacks which might be good enough to squeak onto the awards ballot.

Magnus Rikiya: Just get to the bad part please.

Agent Tesla: Unfortunately your tackles for loss are essentially nonexistent at one as the leader at your position has four. Additionally while the leader among defensive tackles only has one forced fumble and one fumble recovery; the fact that you have none despite supposedly being so competitive is concerning.

Magnus Rikiya: That seems like a valid concern to me. Do you have any tips for me on how to fix it though?

Agent Tesla: Now that is the question isn't it Magnus! Unfortunately I do not really have a good angle to help with this as even looking over the tape of other defensive tackles it seems like the overall play of interior offensive line has improved league wide. You are already right up against the limit of the talents that the league allows, and so I believe the solution is to tackle it from another angle.

Magnus Rikiya: What angle would that be?

Agent Tesla: An excellent question! The key is to lower expectations for you Magnus. While you are only second among defensive tackles as a whole in tackles; you are first among nose tackle archetype defensive tackles. Honestly given your archetype the fancy stats are never what we expected out of you, and so the fact that you are so high in one stat despite being a nose tackle and are leading that archetype is good enough.

Magnus Rikiya: I don't think that is what they meant with this task Tesla. Are you sure that is the angle we want to take?

Agent Tesla: Yeah! End of the day the sim is going to do what the sim wants to do regardless of how much or how little effort I put into making you better Magnus. I have done everything in my power to bring your talents to the absolute top available level, and from here I can hope the back half of the season goes well to get you stats. However my honest concern is wins and I would much rather hope the Yeti manage to make it into the playoffs than that you get another personal award. Wouldn't you agree?

Magnus Rikiya: Yes I would. I would much rather the team do well than that I do well personally. So how about that be our area of focus? My stats mean nothing, but if we can get more in the wins column that is the stat we want to improve.

Agent Tesla: The key to that improvement is just some subtle strategic alternatives that we have to keep private, but sounds like we have this task covered. Until next time!

Magnus Rikiya; Goodbye everybody.

Well, improvements. Quarterbacks can always find areas to improve fairly easily - especially in the Development Simulation Football League. One interesting thing to note is that in Wendell Sailor's games for the Portland Pythons he currently has a completion percentage of 100%. You would think at first glance that this means he can't really improve and has been playing lights out. The only issue we come up to here is that half of those completions have been to players wearing colours that aren't the black and green of Portland so yeah there is a lot he can improve on there. There is definitely one thing I would love to see a lot less in the second half of the season - less interceptions. There has been a lot to like in general though and I have been fairly happy with the first season of Wendell Sailor especially as a quarterback that is platooning behind a maxxed build quarterback. It will definitely be something that I want to look at and compare from this season to next when I get to be the main quarterback and run the offence. If there was something else I would like to see spike up it would be touchdowns. But who wouldn't want to see more touchdowns from their QB.

Season 30 has gotten off to a bit of a rocky start for the big fella, Honky Tonk Haywood.  After being named defensive breakout player of the year (and likely should have been a unanimous all pro and defensive tackle of the year) it appears perhaps the accolades may have gotten to HTH’s head.  Despite a big game in week 4 that saw Haywood earn a defensive player of the week nod with 3 tackles, a sack, a safety, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovered, Haywood’s numbers – specifically tackles – are no where near the bar he set for himself last year.  Now those season 29 numbers that included 80 tackles and 11 tackles for a loss are probably going to end up as statistical outliers for Haywood, but his 21 tackles to date has him nine behind the DT leader.  His 1 sack on the season, while timely, is beginning the fan the flames of doubt that pundits have set – asking whether Haywood will ever impact the passing game, if he’s a 3-down player.  Defenders of Haywood point to the Liberty defense getting better and to the opposing teams emphasizing the passing game more to keep the ball away from him.  Whatever the case, Haywood will need to adapt his game, going-forward, if he hopes to be an X-factor in what’s left of season 30.

In terms of how Tsuyu Asui's year is going when it comes to stats, there is not much she can improve on to be honest. She currently has 36 catches for 527 yards and three touchdowns in the halfway point of the season. But if I had to choose I guess she could improve actually getting touchdowns. Throughout her whole ISFL career she has only had seven touchdowns total. She is getting catches but is just not getting into the endzone and honestly that is disappointing despite stats not always being a big thing for me. Because I cannot control how the sim goes I cannot directly control how many touchdowns she gets.

But since I have bought Slot Receiver and am planning on improving my Hands I hope that those numbers will improve as the season goes on. My Hands are currently at 93 and I am banking TPE to get them up to 95 which would be my cap. Slot should definitely be a big help since it let's her get a burst of speed whenever she catches the ball, which capping my Hands should help make easier. Hopefully the rest of our offense can improve as well but we still have a ways to go here at Philly with how young our team still is.

Well to be completely honest I do not actually think Tay Swizzle even needs to work on anything on the field. Portland Pythons brought her in to have a positive public reaction to the Portland Pythons brand. Merchandise sales are actually starting to dwindle and people are now suddenly starting to lose interest now that Tay Swizzle playing american football is no longer a novelty and no longer a shock to everyone. Now that she is doing well for herself, people are starting to not turn on the TV to watch her fail. This obviously worries Portland Pythons management as they were really banking on her popularity to bring in tickets and TV revenue. So what Tay Swizzle needs to work on is her image and brand most importantly off the field so that way tickets can rise for Portland and that more fans turn up to the game. She plans to release an album soon and throw a gigantic album party with press and journalists invited so they can write about the Tay Swizzle album party bash and hopefully get more eyeballs on her. She however does need to grab inspiration from somewhere though so maybe it is time for her to start dating and playing football. Playing into the double paparazzi media hype of sports and celeb reporters.
