What's you guys thought on that Kyrie trade? Personally, I think Danny Ainge is a genius. He knows Isaiah wants a max contract next year, and no one is paying a 5'9" point guard a max contract so he goes ahead and trades him for a superstar PG in Kyrie and when Isaiah walks next free agency the trade would've been #1 Pick & Jae Crowder for 25 Yr. Old Kyrie Irving, isn't Ainge a genius?

That looks brilliant now but I highly doubt that was Ainge's rationale. I think the Celtics got finessed and somehow it actually makes sense.
Kyrie is also a bit overrated.

cavs won the trade. i get the part of isaiah wanting a max, but even if isaiah walks, they gave up one player for a top 3 pick and jae crowder. the 2018 draft is looking to be pretty top heavy with luka doncic, michael porter, deandre ayton so it could turn out to be a great deal for the cavs. i just don't think it wasn't worth the upgrade from isaiah to kyrie to give up both jae and a top 3 pick

there is no winner of this trade yet. Cavs didn't get much better (though they do have a top 5 pick now so idk), and Celtics are both worse off this year AND if Irving walks the Celtics rebuild is over before it really starts.
If Irving re-signs though Celtics get a solid dub
