Franklin Harris Answers The Media's Questions - Apache_Chief - 05-25-2017 Franklin Harris, a top DT prospect coming out of Houston, has arrived at the press junket in a black suit and red tie to show support for his school. Never a big fan of these things, the Defensive Tackle remains serious and does not waste any time getting down to business. He sits and unbuttons his suit jacket "Let's get down to it then." [Will try to answer as the questions come] [http://nsfl.jcink.net/index.php?act=ST&f=12&t=486 Player Page] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Do you prefer working out of a 4-3 Defense or a 3-4? A: At Houston, for most of my time there it was a variation of a 3-4. That being said, I think i'd be best utilized in a 4-3 defense. Q: Some defenses like running stunts to confuse the opposing offense. If asked to drop back into a Zone coverage as part of a stunt, how do you think you'd perform? A: Well, at my current size, I don't know if a coach would really use a play like that. It depends on the stunt, but I don't think the desired outcome would be achieved. Q: Which NFL counterpart best suits your skill-set? A: I like to compare myself to Kawann Short, similar size and role. He just got payed too, which is nice. Q: What do you eat, man? You're huge. A: Big BBQ fan, comes with the territory down south. Might try to drop a few pounds, but we'll see how it plays out. Q: If you had to rank the importance of position groups on defense, how would you rank them? (eg. DTs, DEs, CBs, LBs, Safeties) A: As much as i'd like to put DT first, I think the real order is something like DEs, LBs, CBs, Safeties, and DTs. LB and DE can probably be swapped. Q: Are you as strong in the run game as the passing game? A: I think I have the potential to be productive in both, but i'm not perfect at either yet. Q: Would you rather have 15 pass deflections in a season or 15 tackles for loss? A: 15 tackles for loss, the pass deflections would be more flashy, but not really my style. Q: Who is your favorite NFL DT? A: I think Aaron Donald is the best of the bunch, but I enjoy watching Fletcher Cox play. Q: Are you more interested in stopping the run or sacking the QB? A: I think it really depends on where I end up and the competition, but I feel like most D-Tackles would say getting sacks. Q: Being a top DT out of Houston, how has Vince Wilfork influenced you? A: Whether it be on the Texans or the Patriots, the man made a name for himself. I respect his work ethic and his ability to just keep winning. Not sure about the overalls though. Q: Do you expect to be the centerpiece of a defense or an extra piece? A: I would love to be a centerpiece, but the way I play, I might not get as many looks as I might warrant. Guess I just need to play my best. Q: What's the first thing you're going to buy with your contract? A: Probably going to buy a few things for my family, nothing too exciting really, don't want to waste any of it. Might treat myself a little, who knows. Q: What's your favorite BBQ dish? A: Briskets my go-to, but a little bit of everything is always the right answer. Q: What line gap technique do you think suits you most? A: Probably a 3-Tech. Q: Who would you rather be facing down on the other side of the line; prime aged Adrian Peterson or Tom Brady? A: That's a tough one. Probably Brady, since getting to him would be more line play than his own play. He's quicker than he looks though. Q:What do you look for and expect from your coaches? A: I want a coach who knows Defense like the back of his hand, and who can mold me into a top defensive lineman. Q: Have you ever suffered any serious injuries? A: Never missed a game, so that answers that. Q: What's more important for a D-lineman, raw power or technique? A: For immediate impact, technique would be most important. However, as its often said, you can't teach raw power. Franklin Harris Answers The Media's Questions - Molarpistols - 05-25-2017 1. Do you prefer working out of a 4-3 defense or a 3-4? 2.
