Offensive Comparison: Compare one offensive player from each team in a series. Can be completed at any point

Today I will be comparing a wide receiver from each team in the playoffs. Those players are: Robert Phelps, Dustin Evans, Trey Willie, and Fox North. First we start with my good friend Robert Phelps. Phelps is currently second in yards, touchdowns, and receptions. He has 411 TPE up until this point. A very impressive number indeed. Listed as the number 2 receiver in the Orange County Otters depth chart, he is a number one on any other team. Next up we have Dustin Evans of the Arizona Outlaws. He coincidentally also has 411 TPE currently. He is ranked tenth in yards, tied for 13th in touchdowns, and 12th in receptions. Now his numbers may seem low but that’s just because we started with the second best wide receiver in the NSFL and he is on a team that runs more than passes. Not too many can compare to that of Robert Phelps. Dustin is still an elite player and when he gets the ball he makes the most of his opportunities. Nest we have Trey Willie, former Orange County Otter, current Baltimore Hawk. He is not only a Baltimore Hawk, he is a ball hawk. He ranks seventh in yards. He lacks in the touchdown area but it has shown that he gets his team to the red zone and lets his team do the rest. He doesnt need the credit of the touchdown, he just wants to help his team win. Last and not least, the second best wide receiver on this list. Fox North. His fifth overall in yards helped bring a playoff birth to the Liberty. He found the end zone 8 times and has a great 17.4 average. He will find himself in the probowl this year.

Root for the Underdog: Pick an away team in an upcoming game and try to convince yourself (and us) why they can win. Must be completed before the playoff series you write about

There are many underdogs in this league when you compare them to the Arizona Outlaws. So the team I bring to you today would not be an underdog in another division or if the Outlaws simply did not exist. The perennial second place team in the ASFC, my own Orange County Otters. The Otters bring it all to the table. They run different strategies per opponent and have very dedicated front office staff. But it always comes down to the Outlaws. This year the Otters have the greatest passing attack the league has ever seen. Mike Boss and his wide receivers are putting on a show for everyone to watch. Just in time for them all to get new contracts too I might add. While the defense of the Outlaws is the best in the league by far, their weakest point is their secondary. This is not to say that it is bad, it is far from it actually. Their front seven is just the best period. So the Otters will take advantage of their amazing deep threats and stretch the field and test how good they can actually be. It may just open up that front seven enough for the rookie erlich burnsman and leroy jenkins to take full advantage.Keep your defense off the field and keep theirs guessing.

Matchup Nightmares: Pick an offensive and defensive player who will be going up against each other and why it will be a nightmare for one of them. Must be completed before the playoff series you write about

There are many times that a player will out perform another. Here is an upcoming matchup that you will want to see. No doubt at some point in the game you will see the matchup of myself, Bradley Westfield and Arizona’s Franklin Harris Jr. Harris in his rookie year is coming of a great statistical year but it pales in comparison to the league leader in so many wide receiver statistics. The Orange County Otters with Mike Boss at the helm are monsters in the passing game and Franklin Harris Jr. is going to have his hands full (not with footballs) and opportunities limited. We have battled each other in games during the regular season before and know each other well. Using all of my attributes I will welcome him to the playoffs for the first time. I will be playing to get my team to the promised land and for the Ultimus. I will give it everything I have to take us to the next step. No matter where I line up or who I am lined up against, they will see a prolific game and they will not be able to stop it. Harris, I will see you in the endzone. I will have the upper hand in this battle.

Playoff Series MVP: Choose an MVP for one of the playoff series and write about why you chose them. Must be completed after the playoff series you write about

In order to choose an MVP of a playoff series one must not look any further than Trey Willie. The Hawks and Liberty battled it out on the Hawks home turf. The aviary I believe it is called. Trey not only was a beast in the game he set some records in this game for most awesome. This is a game that will define the rest of his career. He recorded not 1, not 2, but 3 receiving touchdowns. On those 5 passes he gained he was able to get in the game he took them for 117 yards. That means on just 5 passes he got 3 touchdowns, that is insane. Trey amassed an impressed 23.4 average per catch. Stormblessed was able to match most of these statistics but was held without points as he didn’t make it in the endzone. You may think to yourself, ok that was a great game, but was it amazing… close. What else do you have? Plenty actually. He also had 2 kickoff returns for 109 yards, one of them was a 103 yard touchdown return. This guy accounted for 24 of their 34 points. Last but not least he did not allow any of the passes his way to get intercepted. This was an all star debut for the young receiver.

Playoff Review: Write a short review of the playoffs and each of the matchups. Must be completed after the Championship Game

Today I bring to you the playoff results and how I see them. The first matchup we have is the Orange County Otters versus the Arizona Outlaws. This is a battle of titans. They are such good teams and have the talent everywhere so it was interesting to see the Otters get demolished. I was informed that the sim file did not have the Otters strategy in place and that there was a resim. The Otters lost the resim as well but I heard that the Otters made a better game of it. But since the results were the same we get a demolished Otter team in a blowout victory for the Outlaws, 27 - 7 in favor of the home team. Next set we have up is the Baltimore Hawks versus the Philadelphia Liberty. Congrats to the Liberty on being the first expansion team to the playoffs! The Hawks were dominant in the season and the Liberty just kinda won. The rest of the teams in the NSFC made it easy for the Liberty to just walk in. As expected the home team Hawks came away with the win in another landslide victory 34 - 3. The Hawks would go on to lose to the Outlaws in the Ultimus game 49-12. Another blowout victory by the home team. All in all it was another season and another Ultimus for the Outlaws, who are now 3 for 3 in the Ultimus Cup in the first 3 seasons of the NSFL.

(S3) - Ultimus Week - SimmerDownBruhh - 10-14-2017

Offensive Comparison (Written):

In the NSFC championship game we are matching up two of the highlight Wide Receivers in the NSFL. One of which has some experience in his belt and the other has came out of the previous draft with guns blazing, making a namefor himself in his first season as a professional.

We'll start with the veteran Fox North, who has amassed 70 catches for a staggering 1217 yards in his second year in the NSFL. Along with those stats, he leads the team in touchdowns, grabbing eight of them. He's one of the leaders of the Liberty and he'll be aiming to bring Philly to their first NSFL Championship Game.

On the other side, we have the next rookie sensation that's sweeping the nation, his name is Trey Willie of the S3 NSFL Divisional Champion Baltimore Hawks. They come into this year with the second best record for all teams in the NSFL and Willie is a big reason why. His big play ability allowed him to gain 1163 yards off of 64 catches. Although he lacks in the TD column, only grabbing three of them for the year, it's easy to say that the sky is the limit for him and the Baltimore offense.

I'll be curious to see which playnaker will have the upper hand. If I had a choice, I'll be choosing Trey Willie at home.

Defensive Comparison (Written):

On the defensive end, we have to go to the ASFC Championship matchup where the Arizona Outlaws will be hosting the Orange County Otters for the third year in a row.

In this matchup we will be focusing on two of the best Corner Backs in the game today. Both have big play ability and the grittiness needed for the position. Lets not also forget the high confidence to lead their team to victory on the defensive side of the football.

We'll start over on the Otters, their lead CB has to be Marc Spector, who has had a very admirable season this year. 59 tackles, two interceptions and fifteen wonderful passes that were defensed by him, puts him in an elite class of cornerbacks. He definitely has Pro Bowl ability and he showed it this year.

On the Outlaws side, they made a great Free Agency pull last year in snagging one of the premier corners in the game named Phillippe Carter. Now this is a Cornerback that has the juice to anchor the defense,The Outlaws have the number one defense and Carter is a huge reason why.

57 tackles, a forced fumble, six interceptions and an amazing count of twenty-six passes defensed, he's a force to be reckoned with on his side of the field. There aren't too many islands in the NSFL but Carter island is on that not too many receivers can figure out a way to get out of.

I'm predicting that Philippe Carter will come away in this matchup, I'm expecting a pick six to go along with a stellar stat line and an entry to the NSFL Championship.

Playoff Predictions (Graphic):

Bottom Half (Written):

With the Playoffs almost underway, it's a good time to reflect on what happened to two of the teams that fell short of fighting for the Ultimus.

We will be focusing on the two teams that will not fight for the Glacies.

The first of which is the early NSFC favorites, the Yellowknife Wraiths. There's a good amount of reasons why they failed to live up to expectations but their biggest reason is CONSISTENCY. There are three games in mind that would have more than likely swung the team in momentum, but there's no point in going over them in detail. Long story short, they had games that slipped through their fingers and couldn't capitalize on the opportunities. That's why they will be looking forward to the grind ahead of them. The team still has the core of players ready to take the next step. Free Agency will be very interesting to see this year.

The final team in the NSFC is the Colorado Yeti, who is not familiar with not seeing the postseason. This will be their second year in a row for the Yeti. Going from Inaugural NSFC Champions to barely missing the playoffs to now, where they didn't have too much of a shot from the beginning. Everyone knows why they didn't make it but I'll just come out and say it.

#NobleGate was their dagger.

It threw their whole organization out of wack and it made things too much to recover from. Even with the rookie QB Nicolas Pierno at the reigns, it wasn't enough to get them over the hump. We will have to see what their move is going forward. A somewhat lackluster draft and a solid amount of draft picks might be what they need to help their team rise from mediocrity. I'll be keeping a close eye on the Yeti.

Championship Game Recap (Written):

(S3) - Ultimus Week - Bayley - 10-14-2017

Offensive Comparison: Compare one offensive player from each team in a series. Can be completed at any point
The first game between the Otters and the Outlaws was one that was going to be a star-studded game, especially on offense. One of the key pieces was going to be the Otters' Phelps and Westfield. On the other side of the offense, Evans, Chess, and Law are going to be the real guys to focus on. In this game, it was a lot of what everyone was going to expect from these players. On the Outlaws side, it was Evans who had 5 catches for 105 yards as well as a Touchdown. Chess, on the other hand, had 4 catches with 123 yards, Law was the big recipient as he had 8 catches to lead the entire Outlaws team for a total of 56 yards. These guys are definitely a three-headed machine and needed to be limited which for the most part, were not. Phelps for the Otters had 102 yards on 5 catches. Now, Phelps was kept without a Touchdown which had to be a win for the Outlaws. Westfield also had 5 catches for 98 yards and a touchdown. I believe that this was the difference. The Outlaws were going to a bend but not break defense. They limited them to only 1 touchdown also Jenkins to not even a carry. Boss was definitely limited which limited the two receivers.

Defensive Comparison: Compare one defensive player from each team in a series. Can be completed at any point
From the Championship game between the Outlaws as well as the Hawks, there was a defensive showdown that really caused the difference between the game. On one side of the ball, it was Franklin Harris Jr. who had the game of his rookie life. On the other side, it was Harrison who had a fantastic game as well. Both teams pretty much kept the offenses under wraps, but it was the Outlaws defense that pretty much decided the game. Harrison had 7 tackles and 1 pass deflection. These two were definitely important plays on defense as Harrison seemed to be around the ball a lot. On the other side, it was Franklin Harris Jr. that had the game of his life. He had 7 tackles, 3 Pass Deflections, 2 Interceptions, and 1 Touchdown. What a game. It seemed like when there was a big play except for the 12 sacks in which the Outlaws had, it came from this guy. You could not believe that the guy is only a rookie. This guy has a huge future if he is going to play like this in the big games. He showed up this season and this game was no different. Defenses wins Championships and this game showed that.

Bottom Half: Write about why two of the four teams were not able to make the playoffs. Can be completed at any point
Out of the teams that did not make the playoffs, I think that the Yeti and the Legion have the most cause for struggle in the upcoming seasons. The Legion was hoping to get some reinforcement in the form of Brian Cushing, but that deal got voided after the Legion were caught going over the cap in prior seasons. What is the big problem for the Legion? How about the fact that they only scored 199 points and gave up 444. In other words, only the Yeti scored less points and they gave up the most points by almost 70 points. How are you going to win games when you are giving up that many points a game? You should not seriously expect to win with that kind of ratio. The second team was that of the Nick Pierno. Pierno is a guy that absolutely struggled throughout the season which definitely put this team back. I think that he will absolutely will pick it up and the future looks bright. That opposed to Bercovici who has really his days numbered in a Vegas jersey. I definitely also think that you are going to have to win on the road in which neither team was able to do effectively. Yeti had no wins and Vegas had just 1. When looking at the two teams, they definitely were not even close.

Playoff Series MVP: Choose an MVP for one of the playoff series and write about why you chose them. Must be completed after the playoff series you write about
The MVP of the Championship game had to be Franklin Harris Jr. of the Arizona Outlaws. Franklin Harris got the Outlaws out to a 14-3 lead which they never turned back from and turned out to be the winning points in the game. 49-12 was the final, so that touchdown was the real winner in the game. When you look at Franklin Harris Jr.'s game, he had 3 pass deflections, 2 interceptions, 1 touchdown to go with his 7 tackles. This had to be one of the performances of not only the game, but also of the playoffs. There is a chance that he may even be the MVP of the entire playoffs. This game shows what Arizona is going to get used to. Franklin Harris Jr. was a steal in the Season 3 draft by this performance. He has the cold blood written all over him. Is there anything else that he can do? I think this guy deserves all the credit, so he gets the game ball for the Championship game. Franklin Harris Jr is the MVP and should be looked at as a huge part in the Outlaws future moving forward. This was a great pick and he definitely deserves the ring.

Championship Game Recap: Do a recap of the best play from the championship game. Must be completed after the Championship Game
I definitely think that there was one series in which wrote the book for the Championship game. It started with 4:23 remaining in the first quarter. The first play was a drop back from Kyubee as he found Trey Willie, another phenomenal rookie for 4 yards. He was tackled by Phillipe Carter. The second play saw a hard count by Kyubee which caused Godfrey King to jump offsides which made it 2nd down and 1 yard from the Baltimore 28 yard line. Kyubee then dropped back on 2nd round as he gets SACKED by Godfrey King who makes up for that bad penalty. That made it 3rd and 8 from the 21 yard line. Kyubee drops back, he goes for Stormblessed... PICKED OFF! Franklin Harris Jr jumped in front of the ball that was intended for the speedy wide receiver. This was at the 23 yard line! He brings it back to the house. Kyubee tried to make a dive at his feet, but there was no way that Kyubee was going to catch Franklin Harris Jr.. Ronaldo made the extra point to add to the lead! This was the turning point in the game that ended very much one sided.

(S3) - Ultimus Week - White Cornerback - 10-14-2017

Offensive Comparison: Compare one offensive player from each team in a series. Can be completed at any point Clifford Rove and Scrub Kyubee. One an established veteran of the league, the other a complete rookie. Both players willed their teams into the playoffs, by beating out both the unlucky Wraiths and the lackluster Yeti. Kyubee finished the season 289/482, 3518 yards, 20 touchdowns, 15 interceptions and a 83.4 quarterback rating. Rove finished the year out with 286/514, 3461 yards, 20 touchdowns and 24 interceptions with a 70 qb rating. Nobody is debating who had the better season, that much is clear. But Kyubee definitely had more offensive weapons and a stout offensive line to aid him this year as opposed to Rove who spent most of his time outside of the pocket and on the run. The newly founded Philadelphia Liberty find themselves in the playoffs in only their second season in existence whereas the Hawks find them selves in their second consecutive playoff bout. Last year after beating the Wraiths, they were embarrassed in the Ultimus cup showdown against the Arizona Outlaws. When these two come head to head in the NSFC Glacies Trophy, who will come out on top? Will the Hawks reach the Ultimus for the second year in a row? Can the Liberty stage an upset?

Defensive Comparison: Compare one defensive player from each team in a series. Can be completed at any point Tyler Oles and Antoine Delacour. Both easily the top 2 corner backs in the league will come to blows this Monday night when the Philadelphia Liberty face off against the Baltimore Hawks. Both players will obviously not face off against each other seeing how both of them take defensive snaps except of course for the occasional special teams skirmish. Regarding how the season went for both of these fine athletes, both players have had solid standout seasons. Oles finished with 59 tackles, 7 interceptions, 12 pass deflections and 1 defensive touchdown whereas Delacour finished with an impressive 67 tackles, 6 interceptions and 24 pass deflections. Delacour is headed into his 4th season this off season while Oles will be reaching his 3rd. As it stands Delacour no doubt has to upper hand in this matchup but Oles does have a little youth on his side. Regardless when we are talking about right now you would be making a choice between current ability and future potential by looking at both of these two players It will be interesting to see as these players progress in their careers, just who exactly will perform at the grandest stage of them all, the Ultimus final.

Bottom Half: Write about why two of the four teams were not able to make the playoffs. Can be completed at any point Why did the Yellowknife Wraiths not reach the playoffs? Simple they're just professionally paid choke artists. Supposedly one of the "top teams" in the league, if you take a look at the team stats, the Wraiths have the 2nd best offense in the league and the 3rd best defense in the league. Tell me how does a team with supposedly this much talent not even get out of their conference? Taking a gander at how the Wraiths performed this year outside of the statsheet. They lost to the Hawks away by four points, no big deal there really, a close away loss is pretty much all you can hope for on the road. They then lost to the Sabercats away by yes, you guessed it a single point. Okay that's bad luck right two games in a row decided by a single score? After smashing the Otters at home they went to Vegas and narrowly bet the pathetic Legion by 6 points. Again away team fixture you might be forgiven for that. They lost by 13 points to the Legion away, okay away form is very dicey for them, you'll beat them at home right? The Yeti were dispatched at home by two touchdowns followed by the Hawks by 8 points. Here we go. A tough loss to the Outlaws at home by debatable-y their closest rival. What followed next is what nightmares are made of, they lost to the Colorado Yeti at home. The single result of this game alone has put me off my appetite to even attempt to write the rest of this PT.

Playoff Series MVP: Choose an MVP for one of the playoff series and write about why you chose them. Must be completed after the playoff series you write about We all know that the Outlaws are reaching the Ultimus finals so I'm not even going to beat around the bush. Regardless of whoever they face in the finals whether it be the Hawks or the Liberty, Bronko will come out on top and be the Ultimus MVP. Bronko by the stats had an all out impressive year, he was 289/495 , 3650 yards , 25 touchdowns and 8 interceptions with a 91.6 quarterback rating. Impressive that despite him not needing to throw for all that many yards due to the powerhouse Reginald Mackworthy at running back, Bronko was never gunshy or scared of a risk. Even with a 3:1 TD/INT ratio, Bronko not only steered this offense, he was their offense. Of course it's not all on Bronko, he does have some top notch wide receivers in the ever present Dustin Evans and the developing C.A. Chess. Bronko will likely throw for atleast 3 touchdowns in the Ultimus game, that's if they don't have the backup unit out to salt the rest of the game away. Could we see a return to the QB spot for Asipi? Who knows, Asipi is after all the second best quarterback on the Arizona Outlaws roster.

Hate the player or the game: Tell us which team made the playoffs and shouldn't have, or which team didn't and should have? (Can be completed at any point) Obviously I'm going to argue that the Yellowknife Wraiths deserved to reach the playoffs. The sim and frankly everything else screwed them. Whether it was a boneheaded decision by Mat Akselsen to attempt to recruit an in contract Darren Smallwood back to the team with a lucrative contract and possible future staff role which resulted in his two game suspension for the season or it was dumb results such as losing away games by a single score and losing home games embarrassingly to both San Jose and the fucking Yeti. The Wraiths truly did get screwed this year in a season, although how hard they try will never be forgotten. An absolute failure which all of front office have to take flak for and surely this means Akselsen is in the hot seat regarding next years results. A failure to hit the playoffs for a consecutive year could surely mean Akselsen will be fired and new management will make it's way in. Akselsen does have the backing of the players and is thoroughly liked throughout the locker room and within staff circles so this will be an interesting story to watch for the future. Only time will tell if he's the man to lead this team to glory.

(S3) - Ultimus Week - ADwyer87 - 10-14-2017

Written Points

New Talent: Write about which S3 trade will or did have the biggest impact in the playoffs. Can be written at any time depending on if you choose to write about who already has or who will do good

The most obvious trade that had the biggest effect in the playoffs was the Outlaws - Yeti trade. This trade sent cornerback Philippe Carter and defensive end Big Bot to the Arizona Outlaws, while sending wide receiver Mayran Jackson, newly drafted safety Vash Erikson, and the Outlaws season 4 second round pick to the Colorado Yeti. It was a huge trade that many people talked about, but it really helped the Outlaws in the playoffs.

In the two rounds of the playoffs, both defensive players produced. Philippe Carter got four tackles, five pass defences, and two interceptions. Big Bot got six tackles and two sacks. That was a big help in their pursuit of their third straight Ultimus trophy. The year before they had had Jason Williams as their number one cornerback and Luke Pierce as their defensive tackle, so this was a big gain.

On top of the gains, however, they really didn't lose anything. Carter was a definite improvement over Erikson, so that is not a loss until the future. The season 4 second ended up not being anything, and might not even be an inactive. The big loss could have been Mayran Jackson, but that was an issue. Dustin Evans had 222 yards and a touchdown, and C.A. Chess had 170 yards and 3 touchdowns, so receivers were still fine.

OTHER PT

Forget one series MVP, let me tell you the MVP of the whole playoffs! That MVP is not one, but two Outlaws players, wide receiver C.A. Chess and cornerback Franklin Harris Jr.

Chess had incredible numbers in the playoffs. He played like a true number one, garnering 170 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns in the playoffs. what makes those numbers even more impressive? all three touchdowns came in the championship game! He was a massive red zone target and shined when the team needed it most. He way upped his play from the regular season to the playoffs, and that is the definition of an MVP, someone who is clutch when it matters the most

Franklin Harris Jr. is another big contributor, and the fact that he is a rookie only makes the feat that much more impressive. In his two games he was able to put together 10 tackles, 6 pass defences, and a whopping 4 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown in the Ultimus game! In case you're wondering, that incredible stat line translates to 70 tackles, 42 passes defences, and a monstrous TWENTY EIGHT interceptions in a regular season. And he did it all as a rookie! If that isn't MVP worthy, i dont know what is!

That Magic Moment: Pick one moment from a playoff game and describe what made it so amazing to watch. (Must be completed after the game you write about unless you saw the sim in advance)

9:11 2nd and 6 ARI - 31 Pass by Bronko, K., to Tuck, J.. INTERCEPTION by Bavitz, I. at the ARI - 33 yard line and returned for 14 yards.
8:51 1st and 10 ARI - 19 Boss, M. SACKED by Harrif Ernston - LB for -5 yds.
8:29 2nd and 15 ARI - 24 Pass by Boss, M., to Phelps, R.. INTERCEPTION by Harris Jr., F. at the ARI - 19 yard line and returned for -2 yards.

This really was the moment that sealed the victory for the Outlaws in the ASFC. It was already 20-0 going into the half and it was halfway into the third, a win was likely, but crazier things have happened in the NSFL for sure. with nine minutes left in the third, Outlaws quarterback King Bronko threw his first pick of the game, giving Orange County players and fans hope that they could turn this game around.

Then, the next two plays crushed that hope. Boss was sacked by the Outlaws Harrif Ernston. to add insult to injury, rookie corner and son of former Orange County player Franklin Harris Jr. picked off Boss to put them back in possession. The Outlaws wouldn't score on this drive, but it didnt matter, the Otters spirits were crushed.

Offensive Comparison: When you look at the Liberty vs Hawks game, the two standout offensive weapons on each sideline are easy, for the Hawks: Trey Willie, the rookie phenom who took the league and the NSFC's secondaries by storm, and Fox North, a veteran who can light you up at any time on any given day. Fox North was easily expected to be the better receiver in this contest with his experience and talent, but it was Trey Willie walking away with a far more dominant performance. Looking at the statistics, Willie and North had similar receptions, with Willie at 5 and North at 4. But North only had 84 receiving yards and NO touchdowns, while Willie had 117 yards for 3, yes I said 3 touchdowns. Even more impressive was Willie doing all this while teammate Stormblessed caught 5 passes for 112 yards, even with no touchdowns, it says a lot about Trey's ability to make the most out of the touches he gets while Kyubee throws to a wide variety of his receivers. On top of THAT, Willie had 2 kick returns for 109 yards, one of them a 103-yard return for a touchdown. North definitely has the experience over Willie, but Trey Willie is a DANGEROUS weapon not to be underrated. (212 words)

Defensive Comparison: When you look at Jayce Tuck, he just screams, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHHHHHHHHHHH" Literally. That is all he says. I shit you not. But when cheerleaders look at him, they say, "Jayce, Jayce, you're an ace, you should cum, on my face." This is the effect of the hardest-hitting, longest-dicked, rock-hard man in the league. When you make a yo mama joke, he shows you videos of him fucking your wife. My source on this? Ricardo Sandoval. "I don't even have a wife, but somehow he had a video of him fucking her..." How you block a man like this? You don't, you just let him rape your quarterback up the ass and apologize later, he'll understand. Pierno did. Kyubee did. Orosz did. Bronko did. Yes, I said Bronko, because Tuck even sacked his own QB, that's how good he is. What a beast. I will suck this man's dick any day of the week besides Sunday, cause that's when he uses it to tackle. He had 32 sacks this season. That's insane. Only a few people came near him, and one of them, Bjornsson, is a DE at DT, which fucks up the whole system and shouldn't be allowed without a position change, but we'll address that later. (207 words)

Bottom Half: There are only two teams anyone is going to want to talk about in this, and I'll give my two cents. Or rather four cents. The Legion and the Yeti. Why didn't the Legion make the playoffs? Well, sure they're an expansion team, but the Liberty were able to make it, so what the hell does expansion have to do with it? The underlying cause for the demise of the Legion's playoff chances lay in former GM Ravens Fan From Ontario's ineptitude and incompetence in leading his team, going inactive at times, only to return and displace fill-in GMs that could have probably done better. That's why. Why didn't the Yeti make it? The Noble scandal as well as half the good players jumping ship by requesting trades and the other half being traded after saying they would test free agency and with one knee-jerk decision by the new management, the Yeti were worse than the Legion, although it didn't show in record, we all know it happened. Nicholas Pierno was called up to lead a flailing Yeti team and he couldn't get anything going, and Tweed suffered as all any team had to do against them was run stuff. (200 words)

New Talent: The most insignificant trade in the minds of some, the most significant in others. The Stormblessed trade. On that fateful day in the middle of the 3rd Season of the NSFL, the Baltimore Hawks traded with the Las Vegas Legion and acquired None Stormblessed, the Wide Receiver the Hawks hoped would contribute as an offensive threat to take them to the playoffs and let everyone around him get even more hyped. This theory was correct. Behind Trey Willie and Stormblessed, the Hawks locker room was more hyped than ever for their offensive attack going into the playoffs. This lead to the first round murder of the Philadelphia Liberty. The Hawks and Stormblessed were unable to get a win in the Ultimus against the Outlaws, but that was expected, so no harm done there. The point is, even an inactive player can do a world of good and a universe of great for a team even when that team has players filling those positions. Never underestimate the talent or ability of anyone in the NSFL, lest that come back to bite you later. With that said, the Outlaws are the team to beat, so any S4 trades will have to be much more well constructed for anyone to contend with them. (210 words)

Playoff Series MVP: Trey Willie was quite easily the MVP of the Conference Championship game of the NSFC between the underdogs, the Philadelphia Liberty, and the favorites, the Baltimore Hawks. The Baltimore Hawks absolutely dominated this game, winning easily, but the clear Most Valuable Player was Trey Willie, with 3 Receiving Touchdowns and 4 All-Purpose TDs. The fact of the matter is, while other players like Scrub Kyubee had good performances, Trey Willie was on the receiving end of the overwhelming majority of his touchdown passes. And on top of this, he ended up with another TD in the form of a kickoff return for a touchdown, hard to do against the Liberty special teams. And it is easy to forget that he is only a rookie this season. Trey Willie will be a massive force to be reckoned with on down the road, but even now he is dominating defenses in the NSFL left and right, and you can expect more to come later. The other players on his team that come near him are Matthew Vincent, who is retiring, Stormblessed, who is inactive, and Brian Wheat, who is young and new. This WR core is Trey Willie's now, and NSFL defensive backs are scared. (203 words)

Offensive Comparison: Compare one offensive player from each team in a series.
King Bronko had one heck of a game in the Ultimus Bowl! He threw for 250 yards as well and throwing for 4 touchdowns and no interceptions! On the other hand, his opponent Kyubee threw for no touchdowns and five interceptions! The difference in these two players could've very much so been the difference in the game, as the Arizona Outlaws absolutely smacked Baltimore. When we see a performance such as the one we've just seen from Kyubee one of the first things that comes to mind is his future in the league. It's tough enough to rebound from a bad game. But it's especially tough to rebound from a bad game when that game is the biggest game of the season! I'd personally make a claim that this rebound will be worse than say, somebody having a season they entirely blew. On the other hand, King Bronko just keeps on rolling. He's atop the league and has been for a while. With this performance, I think that just submits his legacy a little deeper into concrete. King Bronko not only sits atop the NSFL, but atop the entire sim league sports world to this point in his career. Although it wasn't a great game, it was a great performance by King Bronko!

Playoff Series MVP: Choose an MVP for one of the playoff series and write about why you chose them.
King Bronko isn't just the MVP, he is the OVP. What's OVP you might ask? Only Valuable Player. King Bronko realistically isn't the only valuable player on the Arizona Outlaws, but after a game like the one he had against Baltimore, I think it would be a fair claim to make. Simply put, I think King Bronko is by far the most valuable player in the Ultimus Bowl. His opponent struggled mightily and even though Bronko was under a ton of heat and pressure from being in the moment, he still came out and with everything on the line, played about the best game somebody in his position ever could. With the kind of player that King Bronko is, i think we can only expect performances like this to happen more frequently from him, and to be honest if that doesn't happen, I think it would be a bit of a let down. One thing is for certain, Bronko has what it takes to certainly go down as one of the greatest players in the history of the game by the time the end of his career comes around. That is big considering that even though the league is as young as it is, that Bronko clearly shines.

The Baltimore Hawks face off against the Philadelphia Liberty for a chance to play for the Ultimus Trophy. At quarterback for the two teams will be Scrub Kyubee of the Baltimore Hawks and Clifford Rove of the Philadelphia Liberty. The two quarterbacks had very comparable stats in many facets of their game during S3. Scrub Kyubee threw 482 passes and completed 289 of them for a completion percentage of 60%. Clifford Rover threw 514 passes and completed 286 of them for a completion percentage of 60%. When it came to touchdowns Scrub Kyubee threw 20 touchdowns to 10 interceptions while Clifford Rove threw 20 touchdowns to 24 interceptions. In the end, Scrub Kyubee finished the season with a quarterback rating of 83.3 while Clifford Rove had a quarterback rating of 70.0. The Baltimore Hawks finished at the top of the NSFC with a record of 9-5 while the Philadelphia Liberty came in second with a record of 8-5-1. The Philadelphia Liberty offense led by Clifford Rove scored 326 points while the Baltimore Hawks offense led by Scrub Kyubee scored 317 points. When comparing these two quarterbacks it seems like Scrub Kyubee was the better quarterback from an individual stats comparison but when looking at the two teams offenses the better offense was led by Clifford Rove.

The Arizona Outlaws face off against the Orange County Otters for a chance to play for the Ultimus Trophy. Today we are going to compare two linebackers, one from each team. From the Orange County Otters we have Ian Bavitz and from the Arizona Outlaws we have Luke Luechly. Ian Bavitz racked up 111 tackles with 6 being for a loss of yards while Luke Luechly managed to accumulate 95 tackles with 3 of them being for loss. Both Ian Bavitz and Luke Luechly forced 1 fumble each but Luechly managed to recover 2 fumbles compared to Bavitz recovering 0 on the season. When looking at sacks Ian Bavitz had 8 sacks while Luke Luechly got 13. In pass coverage Ian Bavitz snagged 2 interceptions and deflected 7 passes compared to Luke Luechly's 1 interception and 5 passes defended. When it comes to team defenses the Arizona Outlaws and Luke Luechly were by far the best defense in the league, only allowing 166 points. The Orange County Otters and Ian Bavitz allowed 288 points on the season. Everyone knows that the Arizona Outlaws defense is a powerhouse that the Orange County Otters will have trouble scoring points on, so this game rests on the Otters defense stepping up and trying to stop the Arizona Outlaws offense.

Bottom Half: Write about why two of the four teams were not able to make the playoffs. Can be completed at any point
The Yellowknife Wraiths missed the playoffs in the National Simulation Football League for the first time in their teams history. Despite having a roster stacked with talent the team could not come together and gel as a singular unit. The offense looks like it should be one of the best in the entire league led by superstars at every skill position. Chris Orosz is one of the best quarterbacks in the National Simulation Football League, and he has targets at the top of their positions in wide receivers Josh Garden and Bailey Cook. In the backfield is S1 MVP Bubba Nuck and on the offense line is two of the best in the game in Jogn Floggity and Mat Akselsen. For whatever reason the team could not come together and make it work during S3.

The Las Vegas Legion were not anyone's pick to make the National Simulation Football League playoffs. The team is still building slowly from expansion and is still working towards contending in the league. They have some solid pieces to build around and time will tell how they can put those pieces to good use. Until we see true improvement from the Las Vegas Legion there won't be too much debate about their playoff chances.

NSFC Championship game
Philadelphia Liberty vs Baltimore Hawks
My choice for most valuable player in this game in none other than Baltimore Hawks wide receiver Trey Willie. The young play maker put the offense of the Baltimore hawks on his back and carried them into the Ultimus championship. Trey Willie had 5 catches for 117 yards and 3 touchdowns in the game, all leading his team in each statistical category. Scrub Kyubee knew that when he needed a big play he could turn to Trey Willie and the wide receiver would make the play. When they got near the red zone it was more of the same, Scrub Kyubee looking for Trey Willie. The Kyubee to Willie connection was the main focus of the Baltimore Hawks aerial attack all season and the team leaned hard on it in this game. The fantasy stock of Trey Willie will surely be on the rise with such a huge game in a big spot. It will be very interesting to see how the young wide receiver can use this success as a jumping board into next season. One can predict that the Baltimore Hawks will be a strong team yet again that runs through running back Darlane Farlane, but things may change a little for next season if Trey Willie continues to be a top notch wide receiver.

The Yellowknife Wraiths missed the playoffs after a very disappointing season that came with many high hopes. The team has all the talent in the world but just could not put it together on the field enough times to earn a playoff spot. Some games the offense was on fire but then the defense would collapse and they would lose a shootout. Other games the defense would stand on it's head and the offense couldn't muster anything at all. These inconsistencies combined with a couple game plan problems were all it took to de-rail this would be playoff team and set them on a course for the golf course. Fans can only hope that heading into next season the Yellowknife Wraiths can find some balance and consistency within their team and can be the powerhouse that they are fully capable of being. The team is loaded with talent and even if they lose star wide receiver, Josh Garden to free agency they should still be a team that can compete for the NSFC title at the very least. The goal for the team is, and always will be the Ultimus Trophy, but after a lackluster S3 the team needs to make it to the playoffs before they can make it to the big dance and have a chance at the glory that is the Ultimus Trophy.
