*Analysis of the Sim Gods - timeconsumer - 11-08-2017
In this segment I am using the league files generated after each game to look at the result of each regular season game, and how that stacks up to a larger sample size of games. Because these are all using the exact same depth charts and strategies, it is an accurate picture of current team power. I am using a 25 game sample size.
Week 1:
Outlaws (33) @ Otters (27)
Yeti (20) @ Sabercats (49)
Wraiths (17) @ Hawks (20)
Legion (10) @ Liberty (27)
Week 1 Resim Results:
Outlaws (17.5) @ Otters (33.5)
I had to go back and recheck that I was looking at the right file. Over a 25 game sample the Otters lost twice. Once by 1 point, and once by 11 points for a 92% win rate. They finished with a 16 point spread average.
Conclusion: Got fucked.
Yeti (12) @ Sabercats (40)
Looking good. Sabercats finish with a 28 point differential, closely matching their 29 from the live game. Sabercats won 25/25 for 100%
Conclusion: Accurate.
Wraiths (16.5) @ Hawks (25)
The Hawks put away the Wraiths with an 8.5 point spread compared to their 3 point game. Hawks won 21/25 for 84%.
Conclusion: Close enough
Legion (10) @ Liberty (36)
Walking out with a 26 point spread and 24/25 wins for 96% the Liberty smashed the Legion.
Conclusion: Accurate.
Week 2:
Sabercats (31) @ Hawks (23)
Legion (27) @ Yeti (13)
Outlaws (48) @ Liberty (10)
Wraiths (20) @ Otters (17)
Week 2 Resim Results:
Sabercats (18) @ Hawks (24.5)
Walking away with 16 wins out of 25 for 64% we have the Hawks with a 6.5 point lead over the Sabercats for a home win.
Conclusion: Got fucked.
Legion (16.5) @ Yeti (21.5)
With a 21.5 average against the Legion for a point spread of 5 the Yeti won 19/25 games for 76% win rate.
Conclusion: Got fucked.
Outlaws (23) @ Liberty (22)
With some very interesting sim results I have Outlaws winning 13/25 for 52%.
Conclusion: Coin Flip.
Wraiths (17) @ Otters (30.5)
Coming in with a 13.5 point differential and 21/25 wins for 84% the Otters take home an easy W on the road.
Conclusion: Got fucked.

What does you watching Er have to do with anything? When the sim gods fuck someone, it's just the nature of the beast. But I'd hate for someone to be on the Yeti and feel like it's a hopeless waste of time when really they had a good shot at winning that game. This is here so people can see the true power of teams, not one random result.

I'm new so I'm sorry if this isn't the proper way to blame ER for rigging.

This is more about the point differentials than the win rates. There's only 25 games in this sample. Just for you boys I went to 100 just now for Outlaws @ Otters:
Otters: 31.2
Outlaws: 17.1
Otters 86 Wins
Outlaws 13 Wins
1 Tie.
So 86%, pretty close.
