When Kazimir was younger he was put into some less than desirable situations. Most of the time it was just some dumb situation that only kids could get into, making a stupid mistake or doing something you shouldn’t be doing. However, when he was 14 he had the opportunity to invest in some new big project a friend’s father was starting. Of course, anyone who was sane would have realized that you don’t typically reach out to children for money to start up some project, but this dude was no ordinary man. The shady father of a friend was going to everyone in the neighborhood, promising an invention so life changing that everyone would make a profit, no matter how much money was put in. Of course, not having access to much money the most Kazimir could invest was 20 dollars, which isn’t a huge amount, but it became clear that that money would never be seen again. The friend’s father was arrested shortly after due to involvement in a drug ring, among multiple other charges. It may have only been 20 bucks, but it was a lot to a kid, and it taught Kazimir a valuable lesson in trusting others. (201 words)

Marc Spector loves hot dogs. It's like... an obsession. It's joked about all the time in the locker room how much he loves his wieners. He's always eating kielbasa, Italian sausage, Turkish sausage, ballparks, Hebrew Nationals, Nathans, Sahlens and various corn dogs... Well, when a representative from Wienerburger came to Orange County Mall to sell stock in his company, Spector, who was there signing autographs at the De-Lux Sporting Store, ate the product up. Literally and figuratively. See, a Wienerburger is a Hot dog, but in the shape of a hamburger. It's basically a hot dog in patty form. Mark thought it was the best idea he'd ever seen. Everyone always criticized him for not loving hamburgers as much as hot dogs. Now this was the best of both worlds. Marc bought 45% of the company and started marketing it to everyone he knew.

"So, it's basically a fat piece of bologna?"
"This is pretty gross."
"I'd much rather have a hamburger in the shape of a hot dog."

After about a month, Marc realized the world was not ready for Wienerburgers. He sold off his 45% stake in the company at a huge financial loss. He did keep a 10 year supply of the product in his freezer at home, though.

The largest case of you lose some, you lose some for Kwame was backing the noble cause of many, many low tier gofundme and kickstarter pages. The worst offense? Supporting many good looking womens twitch.tv streams as well as trying to garner attention from supporting 'causes' like this one.

Learning the hard way as a popular draft prospect with more money than sense, Kwame has invested one to many times in helping these girls realize their 'dreams' of low effort feasting on poor poor young males hoping to cash in from their attention and maybe win them over with their charm (COUGH $$). Since then he has formed a recovery group for white knights on twitch.tv mainly in learning they are their own man and don't need no CinCinbear - Amourath or Dizzykitten in their lives and they can use their hard earned dollars else where, like that sweet pair of Jordans they saw last week.

D’Pez hasn’t been the smartest man with his money thus far into the DSFL season. While most people decide to save money, buy homes, support their family and other things like that, D’Pez decided to invest into something that most people couldn’t really understand or believe. They were scratch and sniff stickers of D’Pez Poopsie. They were called the D’Pez Poopsie scratch and sniffers. Sadly, since his name isn’t something you associate with a pleasant smell, it didn’t go over well. Investing in scratch and sniff snickers, he put about a million dollars into it and when the company decided to discontinue his stickers, he was welcomed home with a truck full of it. So now, D’Pez’s home is filled to the brim with a box truck full of boxes of scratch and sniff stickers that really have no business being there, or even anywhere in this place. Hopefully D’Pez can make better decisions moving forward.

Declan is a young person that has quite a good amount of money and he has always been thinking about how to maximise his earnings and trying to think about the plan B that would start after his career as American Football is a sport where an injury can come any day and if that will affect the personal game performance then you have to be set. So following the idea of investing into his future he started to show interest in cryptocurrency. A lot of his friends back home in London were buying bitcoins and Declan decided that he should invest some amount of his money into it as well. At that moment a lot of new cryptocurrencies where showing up and reviews for some were quite good for the future, besides as a new currencies their value per coin was cheap, literally few cents per coin. One of the currencies that Declan got interested was called Ripple ka XRP as it's been around for a little bit and what felt like a safe bet was the fact that while most of the cryptocurrencies were not backed up by nothing, then Ripple had banks behind it. So Declan decided to buy quite a good sum of the coins as it was predicted the coin to rise and it did, but it never quite reached the set price and after that started to fall down. Now you could call this investment to be a bust as the value of the currency had dropped 3 times of what price Declan bought them for. The only thing how to get out of it without lost is to keep waiting and hoping that with time the price will go up and grow!

The next big thing Deringer got involved in that was the SUREFIRE next big hit in the city of Austin: Bevo Burger. As soon as he got his first DSFL paycheck, some old college buddies rang him up and asked him to help them invest in a shop, set up and fund operations. With a burger shop that offered what they billed as a unique taste from 100% naturally grass-fed cows and ingredients with no artificial preservatives, chemicals or flavors, they would take advantage of the population conscious of such things. This would surely catch on!

They should have run the name by more people. "Bevo Burger" heavily implied cooking up and serving longhorn meat, a thought that did not sit well with the heart of Texas Longhorn nation. Although it opened to rave reviews, the specter of eating their mascot turned off the crowds, especially the college folk, which was a crucial blow with their setup right across from campus. Combining that with the costs to maintain a stock of all-natural ingredients, and the place busted within six months.

I’m still pretty embarrassed by my first, and only to this point, investment. There was a company that reached out to me, called “Water Castles”. It’s a dumb name, I know, but they claimed to be a high end sand castle tool company that made their castle sculpting equipment with plastic only taken from the oceans and recycled. A company that made good tools for my favorite hobby AND cleaned the oceans? SIGN ME UP. I invested in their program, figuring my endorsement and money would go to a great cause. I couldn’t have been more wrong. They weren’t going out and getting their own plastic out of the ocean. Instead, they were an offshoot company of one of the world’s biggest fishing operations that’s cleaning the oceans of plastic, sure, but also killing THOUSANDS of fish, sea turtles, dolphins, and any other sea creature that happened to stumble into their nets of doom. So many animals died from these monsters. It taught me to fully research any other company I may consider to endorse or invest in again. (179)

Vladimir Fyodorovich has the long history of failed investments including stock market crashes, investing in a restaurant that went under, or an apartment unit that was used as a dealing nest instead of peaceful placeholder space. Nothing will be a bigger failure than becoming Cornerback though. Waaaait not this again. He once invested into a farm of malamutes and baboons trying to create greatest cavalry unit of the 21st century that could dominate performance shows, derbies, and races. He was inspired by this legendary videos of monkey riding warthogs. He planned this very carefully buying all the species, hiring best caretakers and advisors that should find places he could use this unique unit combo in the real world.
But obviously, it turned out to be a complete disaster - not only baboons didn't want to ride the malamutes, but also created the council of 12 monkeys and tried to overthrow humanity, built time machine just in time to stop their mortal enemies Colorado Yetis from making playoffs this season.

Antoine Delacour has always been pretty savvy with his investments, and was quick to hire an advisor for such endeavours after achieving his first large contract in the NSFL. Trevor "Three Dicks" Richards has been the man behind Delacour's main investment successes, no doubt. The part ownership in 187 Pictures and Third Eye Gaming has been surprisingly lucrative -- the latest instalments of Sim League League Simulator have sold in huge volume, perhaps owing to the raised profile of their cover star, Delacour himself -- and the ongoing Outlaw Killer franchise was already growing before the involvement of Delacour and various other NSFL players. Amidst all the successes, though, there is a single point of failure.

Richards' advice to diversify investments into cryptocurrency was perhaps a little presumptuous at times. While the investments in Bitcoin and Ethereum have paid off, the large sum that Delacour invested in Hawkcoin -- a Baltimore Hawks themed cryptocurrency started by fans -- did not. The coin did not gain notoriety in the same way that Bitcoin and some others did, and the value of the coins has not risen to a point where Delacour can recoup his investment. Richards has advised him to consider this money lost for the time being, though there is still a faint hope that the coin could take off, so he has opted to HODL for now.
