(S17) - PT1 - Opening Day! - Baron1898 - 09-01-2019 Even though the season opener has long since passed, Morgan Marshall is always excited to lace up the cleats once again for real football. The preseason is all well and good, and training camp with his Wraiths teammates can be fun at times, but there’s a distinct shift in the atmosphere between the offseason and the regular season. Marshall knows how good of a shot the Yellowknife Wraiths have this year at a championship, and the thought of helping to contribute towards his first ring helps drive him through the frosty weather and the hard knocks of training. He is as dedicated as ever to starting off the season on the right foot. There’s no feeling like stepping into a stadium for a real game for the first time in almost half a year, with the crowd roaring around you and creating a deafening atmosphere of sound. That’s a feeling that you can only experience once a year, but no matter how many seasons you play, that jolt of adrenaline will never cease to flow through your veins. Morgan Marshall is no exception to this rule — the post season may always lurk first and foremost in his mind, but there’s a special place in his heart for a new season’s start. After getting a ton of people to join him in the front lines of the offensive line in order to get himself and others a fair rub, he's finally able to put his money where his mouth is and make a difference on the field. It doesn't matter what team he's playing against this is a super exciting time of the year. His goals for this game are to make enough pancakes that everyone on the team doesn't have to make breakfast in the morning and to stop everyone on the opposing team from getting a single sack. It shouldn't be that hard, everyone else is pretty much starting on the same level as he is. And of course he works harder than everyone else so he has that advantage from trying harder and wanting it more on the field. On top of that he's out to get a fair rub for his offensive line mates. There's a lot riding on his becoming the best offensive lineman out there. After the game he and his teammates will sit down together and enjoy all of the pancakes he and the rest of the offensive line make together. Coach is going to bring the maple syrup. (S17) - PT1 - Opening Day! - ScorpXCracker - 09-02-2019 I think the best part of the new season and the opening day is all the not knowing. You do not really know for sure who the best team of the league will be. Sure, you definetely have your guesses, but it is all really up for grabs for the tope teams. Another great part of the new season is all the new rookies coming into the league. You got to see them in the dsfl, and that was great, but now, you get to see if they wil keep how they played in the dsfl up in the nsfl. It is really exciting to see a break out rookie like Sam Torenson take over the league. Another part that is just great about the opening day is how exciting it is for you as a player. You got your big update over the regular season, and now you are ready to try it out against the big boys. Or, maybe you will have a bigger role in your team this year. That part really rings true for me. Marquise Bown left which meant that I would finally be the lone running back for the hawks which was really excting for me because I knew I would be getting a lot of sacks. |
