David had a pretty easy choice as to where to play in college. He went to a big school in the Raleigh area of North Carolina and scouts started noticing him right away his freshman year as he was starting at cornerback from the first game of his freshman year after he had impressed both in middle school football as well as worked harder than anyone else in summer camp. He racked up tons of interceptions and pass deflections from the get go and by the end of his freshman year he had scouts from schools not just in North Carolina coming to see him. David entertained all of the coaches who called to talk to him, but he knew as long as he got an offer from NC State that that's where he wanted to go. He wanted to not only play football and be close to home, but also he would be able to pursue his dream of getting a degree in mechanical engineering. David set himself up to graduate early in his senior year, so he could get on campus at NC State and begin showing the coaching staff that he should be starting and not have to redshirt. He knew it was a possibility, but he got on campus early in January and immediately started working with the trainers to get him on a rigorous workout and diet regimen to get him into top shape before spring training camp started. He also had a very aggressive course load during his first semester in order to be able to have a lighter load during the fall semesters. He worked his ass off both on the field and in the classroom and was the defensive star of the spring football game picking off multiple passes. Between his excellent spring game performance as well as his hard work during the summer training camp he earned a starting spot at cornerback his rookie season and went on to have a great career at NC State.

Growing up in Austria it was really difficult for Heinrich Kackpoo to get into football. He started playing at a fairly advanced age. When he was 19 he got an offer from the College team if he wanted to take part in a practice. He immediately fell for the sport and invested all his free time into practicing and learning the details of the game.
After a good season he decided to give it a shot and moved to the USA to maybe get a chance to play for a college there and maybe be drafted later.
The colleges overlooked him as he was not playing in highschool and didn't have the knowledge the other players collected throughout their lives.
As he was unable to find himself a team he started looking for a job. After yet another devastating job interview he was furious and going out the main entrance he saw red and tackled some trashcans standing around.
Stetson Thyestes, a run-down agent saw him and picked him up. He called his brother who was a linebacker coach in the DSFL to take a look at Heinrich.
The team he was coaching for has, like every year lost all their top talents to the ISFL teams and was in dire need of literally anyone who had the guts to take the field. He hired Kackpoo and the rest was history.

Clark Boyd played all through high school, initially playing quarterback as a backup. After significant growth both in height and muscularity, Clark was asked to become a tight end. He swithced positions in order to gain a starting spot, and took to the position naturally. Despite making the All-State team his senior year, recruitment had been light and his offers were not what he had hoped. Clark was happy to accept a partial scholarship offer to his local state team, Rutgers University. The chance to play at the Division I level was too great to pass up. Clark played for 4 years for the Scarlet Knights. His freshman year, he played in only 2 games after filling in due to injuries. Between his on-field performance and his improvement over the offseason, he earned the starting tight end spot his sophomore year. He made a name for himself as a sophomore, becoming a major receiving option for the team. Clark saw his most success in college as a junior. That season he caught 10 touchdowns, leading the Big 10 at the TE position. Clark's senior year was, while still successful, lackluster compared to his previous year. His lack of improvement, combined with the drop in stats, caused Clark to decide not to declare for the DSFL draft and a chance at a professional career. It was only after a talk with his father Russell, himself a retired professional player, that Clark decided to give himself a chance and enter DSFL waivers.

Cleg was an orphan for his whole life until he was adopted by a local High School football coach, Reginald Pumpershrew. Cleg started playing football in middle school and was very gifted athletically and was tall for his age. He started at tight end and wide receiver until he got to high school where Cleg made the permanent switch to tight end. Cleg did very well for his run heavy offense proving himself as a very lethal blocker. This drew attention from many college in the area, but Cleg ultimately chose East Carolina University because the is where his foster parent Reginald went. Cleg did not do very well in his freshman year of college and was very disappointed with his stats. But his sophomore year is where Cleg really shined as a receiver. Cleg recorded 83 catches for 926 yards and 7 touchdowns. After a change in the offensive scheme to a more run heavy offense, Cleg's stats went down a bit but his pancakes went up with this style of offense. Cleg committed to the DSFL draft after his third year in college and was drafted 50th overall by the Minnesota Grey Ducks. Cleg only spent a year on the Ducks before being drafted by the Sarasota Sailfish.

Rashad Hilliard was born and raised in Gainesville Florida by his mother Lilly Hilliard. Hilliard and his sister Sasha Hilliard were raised by their single mother as both fathers were not around. He attended Gainesville High school where he fell in love with football. Football allowed Hilliard to escape his normal day to day life while bettering himself as a player and a person. It also set him up for his future success in life. He started at running back and made an impact for the team starting day one. By his senior season, he posted 2,123 yards on 227 carries and 32 touchdowns which left his career stats 6,779 yards on 942 carries. Hilliard tried his hand at cornerback while in high school although he did not ever see playing time it was mainly to serve as a backup in the case of injury. Before moving on to a successful career at his local college, the University of Florida.

Hilliard did not see the starting job until his Junior year, but he still helped his team by posting big runs in both his freshman and sophomore season. His freshman year he posted 424 yards on a nice 69 carries and 2 touchdowns with his longest run being 68 yards. In his sophomore campaign, he saw the field even less posting 305 yards on 54 carries with 4 touchdowns. This was all a build-up to his breakout junior year where he posted 2,014 yards on 194 carries which were enough to get him into the DSFL draft where he later made a position change to cornerback with the Minnesota Grey Ducks.

Attempting to become a professional American football player whilst in the United Kingdom does not lend itself to much universal recognition from universities. A combination of the lack of spotlight the sport has over here, in addition to the general level of talent being well below that of the US scholastic level, the British American Football scene does not lead to much recognition. To that end, I found myself spending a great deal of time with my coach, sending tapes to many schools in the US. As one might expect, the Southeastern Conference did not give much of a nod to me. However, I found myself receiving a couple of invitations to try outs on the west coast. In particular, the universities of Oregon, Utah and Colorado were incredibly accommodating in their attempts to give me a chance to work out for them and worked to provide dates that accommodated my A Level and International Baccalaureate exams. So, I then found myself, almost painfully close to the declaration date deadline, walking onto the fields of Utah, Colorado and Oregon in an attempt to figure out and analyse how well I would play and develop in their systems. Ultimately, I found that Oregon was the best fit for me, and it just so happened that they seemed to really like what I was displaying for them. Before the end of the week, they had offered me a scholarship and I had graciously accepted.

Sam Roes went to Purdue because of all the colleges that recruited him he went with his hometown option. Growing up in Indianapolis made Sam a Purdue fan for life, also because his dad went there. In Sam’s first year he was mostly a rotational player that didn’t get too much playtime. Going into his second year the guy in front of him graduated which brought Sam to the forefront. Once going through another whole year of coaching at a higher level he got much better at using his hands with his natural physical ability. His Sophomore year he racked up a respectable 8.5 sacks. His Junior year is when he took the big step to get him to the big leagues finishing with 13 sacks. A lot of people thought he would declare for the draft at this point but he decided to stay and finish his Exercise Physiology degree before graduating. Which he did following a better yet senior year at 14 sacks and 18 tackles for loss.

His favorite memory from college was the junior year Olden Bucket game. If you don’t know what the Olden Bucket game is it is the biggest Indiana rivalry in football. IU vs Purdue. Sam had a monster game with 4 sacks and helping lead the Boilermakers to a 48 to 17 victory.
