(S3) - PT #2 - Lucky Charms - Aenir - 09-23-2017 Chris has what one might call a boring pregame ritual / tradition. He plays some computer games, then takes a nap. *pauses* well if you must know in more detail he wakes up on game days and goes for an early jog, just a quick 100 Push-Ups, 100 Sit-Ups, 100 Squats followed by a 10KM jog (that’s 6.2 miles), just enough to get the blood flowing. Oddly enough this training regimen has had some interesting affects, he's stronger on the field and is starting to lose some of his hair! He then showers and goes to the stadium. from there he goes to the locker room, usually a few hours before everyone else, when he boots up his PC, and starts playing a game to keep him relaxed, usually failing due to the god-awful ping times from Yellowknife to other major cities and servers. He tries multiple games, from strategy (just one more turn...) to first person shooters to puzzlers and RPGs. After that, to really calm down he takes a nap. Once when asked about what he dreams during these pregame naps, he said its not something you can put into words, just something that happens. He usually starts waking up around 5 minutes before the offense starts their first drive. (212) (S3) - PT #2 - Lucky Charms - Bafetimbi Gomis - 09-23-2017 URAH URAH URAH Thaddeus Bullard is a good man. He likes to play football and he loves his teammates. He is a player for the Las Vegas Legion. While playing for the Legion he like to have his pre-game rituals. one of his pre-game rituals is where he says his catchphrases a lot to hype himself up. These phrases include URAH URAH URAH, #MakeItAWin, and THADDEUS WORLDWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE. Saying these keeps him hyped up during the game and as the leader of the offensive line it keeps them hyped up as well. His 2nd ritual is that he likes to kiss his teammates on the lips as a sign of affection to show he's on board with them. The only person he doesn't kiss is Berc because he hates homosexuals and Thaddeus doesn't want to get him mad even though Berc is always touching Thaddeus' ass, balls, and dick when he's under center for the snap. His last pre-game ritual involves eating two entire rotisserie chicken's that he gets from the local grocery store and eats it with an entire extra large slurpee from 7-Eleven. He does this because eating chicken and drinking a slurpee causes him to have the runs in which he has to take a massive shit. This keeps his colon clean during the game so he doesn't have to poo in the middle of a game but it also give him a feeling of fullness. (S3) - PT #2 - Lucky Charms - DollarAndADream - 09-23-2017 Before each game, Scrub Kyubee does one thing: he eats. It's usually his favourite meal, which is chicken fettuccini alfredo, with a fuckton of alfredo sauce. Within this dish are green onions for sure, with a lot of mushrooms as well. Yeah, that's a pretty fattening meal for a pro athlete in the NSFL, but it is what it is. NSFL quarterbacks should get what they want, and Kyubee seems to before each game. Eating a big meal is just what Scrub has to do, and he does it every. single. game. The coach doesn't like it, sure, but Scrub gotta do what Scrub gotta do. This also means he needs to be training extra hard in the gym to make up for that fat intake, and he does. The way he runs on the field, you wouldn't think that he is eating a lot of pasta before each and every game, but he is. Take a look at the games where Scrub Kyubee is at his best, and you can bet those games are the ones in which he ate the most food beforehand. There are rumors that this pre-game ritual of food intake is in his contract, but that is unconfirmed. Whether or not it impacts his game is not something anybody wants to find out. People have just let him continue to do it, because it seems to be an anchor to his strong play. (S3) - PT #2 - Lucky Charms - JBLAZE_THE_BOSS - 09-23-2017 ![]() Mike Boss seen here on the bench before taking the field. He is now King of the Quarterbacks. (S3) - PT #2 - Lucky Charms - TheWoZy - 09-23-2017 Everyone has a pregame ritual in the league. Fuego Wozy has one too. Before every game, he's eating a ton of red hot chili pepper. That might sounds crazy but that's how he's always on fire. It's so natural to him that he doesn't feel any pain. Actually, it gave him a lot of energy boost and strength boost. He feels faster and stronger than ever. :dbz: This is something he has being do it since he started playing football. He never ate so much pepper before but he saw a huge difference in his game after having this as his pregame ritual. It made him be who he is today and different from the rest of the league. Unfortunately some people believes he takes illegal substances with his pepper because they don't believe in his "stupid" ritual. Also, for some reason, everyone in Colorado wants a butt slap. Some of them gets one if they were able to accomplish anything good. But Wozy wants to motivate them for the game so with his huge strength boost, he can test his new power on their butt, leaving a big mark of a hand. There's a reason why Saint loves Wozy so much and wants to stay a Yeti forever. (S3) - PT #2 - Lucky Charms - Sweetwater - 09-23-2017 ![]() (S3) - PT #2 - Lucky Charms - Zeegee - 09-23-2017 Vash Erikson performs his pregame ritual at his home or hotel (specifically requested smoking room) before games. The ritual requires specific items and space to set up this ritual: Calling To Odin. Vash prepares a broth consisting of onions, leeks, and freshly butchered, extremely bloody, rare beef. He places the hot broth in a bowl on ground, over a larger bowl with hot stones. He lights Dragon's Blood incense to burn on smoky quartz incense holders, next to the bowl. Vash opens a bottle of homemade mead and places it next to the bowl of broth. He continues to light multiple blue candles in a large circle around the bowl, bottle, and incense. Once the candles are lit, Vash turns off the lights in the room. With all the offerings put in place, Vash enters the circle of candles reaches up to a mounted perch. (When outside of his home, he travels with a set up that slightly resembles a swing set without the swing) Vash hangs himself upside down from the perch, holding a raven idol in each hand. Huginn and Muninn, Orin's ravens, representing thought and memory. While hanging himself, Vash believes to channel Odin, The Allfather, within him, granting him strength and cunning, to meet what challenges he faces on the battlefields of the NSFL. Approx 215 words. (S3) - PT #2 - Lucky Charms - jparks98 - 09-23-2017 Johnathon Saint has a very strict routine when game day comes around. He has a 3 egg omelet at 7:00 A.M. exactly. Mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes, ham, and cheese. By 7:30 he has finished his breakfast and he makes his way to the stadium. How does he do that? Well, he takes a bike. If the Colorado Yeti is at home then he will take his own bike. If away he will find a rental bike store and rent the most colorful bike they have. After arriving at the stadium, he gets in his warm-up clothes and then sits in the nosebleeds for an at least hour. This is to help clear his mind and prepare himself mentally for the game. Next, he finally starts to hang out with boys and it usually ends in some kind of bet for that upcoming game. While putting his pads on and getting ready, Johnathon Saint will switch gloves with his locker neighbor Brice Boggs. There is no real reason for they do this. It’s just a ritual that started in their first preseason game. It’s probably something they do to help with bonding. Every game, no matter what, he and Brice Boggs will switch gloves. The final thing Johnathon Saint does every single is race Boss Tweed. After three seasons together, Saint has yet to win. Some say it’s meant to enter every game with a chip on his shoulder. After asking him why he simply said: “I just like having fun.” (S3) - PT #2 - Lucky Charms - Deusolis - 09-24-2017 Data. Data. Data. Despite knowing the naked body outside of National Geographic (word to Dan La Greca), A.C. Hackett is one of the NSFLs most fervent data advocates. On game day, that passion manifests in pages upon pages of scouting reports. Knowing offensive tendencies and player pet moves is the kind of information that makes a difference between winning and losing. As one would expect, Hackett isn't particularly superstitious. Based on past data, rubbing a rabbit's foot or wearing lucky socks doesn't improve the likelihood of positive outcomes. But, data be damned, there are still a few pregame actions in his routine. Rather than putting unearned faith in talismans and charms. Hackett has optimized his Sunday night pregame routines. He notes what he did prior to the game and compares it with his stat line. Sugar Babies were a staple until correlation coeffecients (and the Liberty dietician) said they shouldn't be. In their place is a rigorous stretching routine. For those of us not on TPEDs, that's the best way to prolong a career. Data or no, with 15 minutes to game time, the whole world knows where AC is. In the tunnel. Headphone clad. Ready to go to war. |
