(S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - Matty7478 - 03-27-2020 For Matthew McDairmid and the rest of the Kansas City Coyotes, a suspension of the current DSFL season would be demoralising and devastating. We currently hold a large advantage over every other team in our division, and are basically a lock for playoffs when they start in the coming weeks. If we were to be forced to wait for the season to restart for us to continue our charge towards the title, it might be hard for us to regain the momentum we have built and reach the end goal we have set for ourselves. In terms of what we would do to pass the time, I would imagine it would vary throughout our team; each of us individually would likely pass most of the time keeping fit and ready to come back at any time. But apart from that, normal antics would likely ensue: Tree Gelbman would threaten anyone that even thinks about going towards the cereal cabinet (except with even more furore since, you know, passing of viruses and such). Chika would likely keep trying to force us into watching anime over the suspension period, to the disdain of most outside of a few seasoned watchers of good shows like myself or Phat Boi. And I would likely keep to myself, play some games of Madden and watch some film on the last games of other rivals to see if I can help out our tactics department when the league does eventually start. Overall, McDairmid would feel quite upset about losing a season that has went as well as this one has. We came out of the blocks decently, and have grown to be a dominant team having only lost 3 times to 2 teams. In truth, he would think we had a serious shot of winning it all, and losing that shot would be a big loss to himself and everyone around him. But he would survive and come back next year to play football, because that’s just how life goes. If we lost the NSFL as well, the Baltimore Hawks and Darrel particularly would be devastated. The Hawks have had a strong season so far, and Darrel Williams has had a pretty strong campaign for breakout player of the year as he's dominated both on the ground and catching passes in the air. This season has a serious chance for the Hawks to make the Ultimus(before they eventually get pummeled by NOLA), so if the season ended it would be a crushing blow to all the players who have worked hard on the Hawks for us to get to this position. Winning one for Corvo would be an amazing accomplishment, so keeping the league open for the time being would help boost morale around the world and give the Hawks a good chance at bringing an Ultimus home. While Darrel's best years and best chances to win an Ultimus are still ahead of him, giving him the chance now to bring one home is key and he'd be devastated if the season they'd played so far went to waste. Code: 225 words (S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - revuhlution - 03-27-2020 A cancellation of the NSFL season would have a major impact on our franchise, from our front office to the custodial staff. The Coyotes are a tight organization. Talk to the employees and you'll hear about GM Butters not threatening to trade the best players, but EVERYONE in the organization. Players and the training staff have been seen commuting by 'bubble bike's together. There are NO favorites in this franchise and we are committed to helping everyone, particularly during this difficult time. One tradition that would continue would be the franchise's "Burrow Parties". While the team usually uses one large Burrow, the team has been working diligently to provide each employee with their own mini-burrow, at least 6' apart, where the team will meet on full moons. Food and entertainment is provided, including "NSFL '36" on a projector/PS12 so everyone can battle it out and experience the gridiron. The team is also encouraging staff to enroll in online courses, at no personal cost. Many people have already signed up, with First Aid and underwater basker-weaving as two of the most popular classes. Many Coyotes will have a new place for their fruit when this is all over! The recent pandemic has and will continue to impact our lives in serious ways, but the KCC franchise will not be dismayed. AAaawwWWWooooOOOOOOOooooo (S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - nunccoepi - 03-27-2020 Blacktsone wouldn't have a hard time if the NSFL decided to shut down because of this coronavirus stuff, at least not personally. professionally he would have a hard time because as everyone knows your rookie season is very important for a lot of reasons, but one of which is the momentum that you feel yourself having along the way. A total shutdown would destroy this. Not only that but it would disheartening for a team which is seeing a good season and is generally in good spirits about their future prospects, not necessarily a historical accuracy for the yeti team. Nevetheless, Blackstone would comply and wouldn't be like the dillweeds out there partying on the beaches and ruining it for all of us. Mostly because Colorado doesn't have beaches. But what does Colorado have a lot of? Parks, hiking, mountains, rivers and streams, beautiful views. Blackstone would 100% try to organize team outings centered around these activities. Of course we'd all have to keep up with our training regimens because that can be done safely right now, but we'd be trying to get outside a lot. You are almost always at a safe distance from others when you're outside on a hike and this would be a great way to experience the beauty of the nature around him in his new home state. (S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - gbfn - 03-27-2020 IF the NSFL was also affected by the outbreak of the coronavirus Heinrich Kackpoo would be very concerned. This should be the year he wants to enter the professional stage in football. So instead of going to training camp with his new teammates he would have to spend his time with other activities. Such as going to the supermarket in the morning and hiding all the toilet paper. But aside from that he would of course be trying to keep his body fit for work. He would go back to his parent’s farm and help them. Going into the woods, planting trees and raising fences around them or helping out in the stables. Everyday he hopes that some kind of wonder would happen, and the league can get back to how it was before. He spent all his life, all his effort to get a chance to get into the league and now that he is at the brink of entering it and joining a team, all comes to a sudden halt. He dreams of getting on the field and being cheered by the ecstatic fans. He knows, sooner or later the NSFL would continue but all he has now is dreaming of it. (S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - PDXBaller - 03-27-2020 It would majorly suck for Reginald Covington III to miss out on the NSFL if it decided to suspend the season. RC3 has been waiting his whole life to make it to the professional league and not having a place to play would devastate him. He’s been playing football all his life as a quarterback and is wishing for the opportunity to play in the NSFL soon. In the downtime, if this event were to occur, I think RC3 would spend his days reviewing plays for each NSFL and DSFL team and he would try to study as much as he could from different eras of NSFL football. He’d also study the quarterbacks in the league to see how they play and what kind of things he could learn from each. Finally, RC3 would study NSFL and DSFL defenses to see what kind of things he could read from each play. Obviously, both leagues are different and they are substantially different from his college days so he’d spend all his quarantine time trying to figure out what kind of defenses each team likes to play and what he could glean from all that film tape. As the ‘Gentleman’s QB’, RC3 will keep it classy and focused during a quarantine. (S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - Mooty99 - 03-27-2020 What would the Austin Copperhead locker room do while we waited in the safety of our own homes to get over the season being cancelled you ask. Well the first order we would obvious want to work together to keep us mentally and physically sharp. Mentally we would be studying the tape of all the different team, we need to make sure we know everything there is to know about our opposition. We would also have daily strength and cardio challenges, pitching offense vs defence to keep spirits up. Then we would want to have fun as a team, so a virtual pub would be perfect for this, we would get the beer flowing the computer games going even little of of darts of multiple people had boards. Lastly how would I feel if the season was cancel, one word, devastated. Austin are a playoff of certainty and should be for a few seasons yet and in this league as long as you can get to the playoffs you can win it sonwhonknow what would have happened this season. But don't worry we will first beat this virus then we will beat the rest of the NSFL. GO COPPERHEADS! WC 201 (S21) - PT3 - Quarantine - JuOSu - 03-27-2020 SHL PT |
