Being the first season of Eugene Smoothie's career, the possibilities are endless and with that there are far too many things that could happen to make any set personal goals. Coming into the draft, I had not expected to make the position adjustment that I did, hoping to just be able to participate in the offense. Likely the same is what I'll expect out of Smoothie except just on the defensive side of things. Given how important speed is in this league, I hope to hit that 90 speed in order to not repeatedly get burned as a defensive back, and hopefully contribute more than being a liability.

It's a huge bonus to be able to come to an established winning team especially being put in a position of need. Being able to keep up with my peers will be a huge motivation, not only in TPE earning as well as literally.

Plus helping the BBB make a repeat for this season would be a hell of a way to start off a career. At the end of the day, if Eugene Smoothie can do his part (and maybe, hopefully a little bit more) to get another championship for this team, that's about the most that I could ask for.

Actually, if I could make just one interception in my rookie career, that'd be nice too but mostly the championship bit.

My player Nick Kaepercolin has very big goals this season. After joining the London Royals last season after the first two weeks, this will be the first season where he'll play every game. He also has the experience of the whole season and is capped at TPE, so he hopes to achieve some really good numbers together with maxed out QB Colby Jack. With WR Susan Cash also maxed out, it will be interesting to see who will be the primary target in the team. Kaepercolin wants to set some more team records aside from defending the two he currently holds (Longest catch with 43 yards and most receiving TDs in a season with 3). With only one season in the history books, there surely is potential to break some of the current records. He also has his eyes on awards for WROTY, OPOTY and MVP as he knows about his great potential.
But most important for Kaepercolin is that the London Royals as a team will have a good season. He wants to reach the playoffs this year and dreams from winning the Ultimini. He knows that it's gonna be a tough season with most of the defense getting called up, but he's happy with the rookies and optimistic for the upcoming season.

This year Running Back wants to make a name for himself. As a newcomer to the league he wants to prove he deserves a spot, and try to get NSFL team's to get their eye on him for the next draft which he is eligible for. Although he was a last minute pickup by the Tijuana Luchadores after their previous 2nd string RB got injured. Even though fans' expectations of him during his snaps are low he wants to exceed them and make the most of the little touches he gets. He isn't only worried about himself though, Tijuana may not be the favourite this year but Back sure wants to make them look like the favourite, and that means contributing all he can on the field to get them to the Ultimini. To put a numeric value on his hopes would be posting an average carry of 4 yards, getting a couple touchdowns here and there, hopefully making a couple catches in the passing game, and try to reduce the amount of drops and fumbles. The biggest achievement that could happen this season for him would to become the primary back for Tijuana, but that goal is a longshot. Running Back can only get better each game and this season is only the start of his illustrious career.

Simeon Works is entering his first season in the NSFL. There are several goals that he has established for himself. The first one is to maximize weekly training sessions as much as possible to help catch up to some of the veteran guys in the league. Secondly, he has a TFL goal of at least 10 this year. He had a great start with 2 in his first game. He also hopes to achieve at least 5 sacks in his first season as well. Sacks can be hard to come by in the NSFL so this wouldn't be easy. The Chicago Butchers are rebuilding their defense and Works is definitely a big part of that. Chicago has their sights set on a playoff berth but we understand that it won't be easy. I believe the Butchers would be happy with a winning record and making it to the post season this year and continue to build off our momentum into S23. The extra work that Simeon Works has put in in the off season is really showing early on. He spent 3 weeks down in Tampa training with legendary sports science trainer Dr. Dilk Richenson. Works and the Butchers are looking to bounce back in week 2 and build some momentum going into the rest of the season.

Last season was a disappointment for me. I enjoyed the locker room of Tijuana and made great friends with my GMs and teammates. However, the on-field product was not as good as I had hoped. We missed the playoffs and I failed to make a single interception. I am hoping for better on-field results this year. I have some player goals and some team goals. Small player goals: Get more tackles and passes defended than last season and make my first interception. I am joining the elite NOLA secondary which already has three veteran cornerbacks. I will likely spend more time in the nickelback and safety slots, so I expect to rack up lots of tackles.
On the team level I fully expect to have more success this year. After missing the playoffs last year, I will surely at least make the playoffs this year. I am a member of the defending champion NOLA Second Line. With Arizona and San Jose both in the midst of rebuilds, the playoff spots are all but cemented in the ASFC.
If I dare to dream bigger, my big goals for the season would be this: score a touchdown on a pick six. Intercept at least three passes. Record a sack. But of course the crowning achievement in any player's career is to win an Ultimus. With one of the strongest rosters in the league, I think that might just be possible.

Being in an odd situation where you have to come into the NSFL at a much earlier time than expected can be a daunting task. There aren’t many great things that you can do at a lower TPE when being a quarterback requires much more skill than expected. However, having the odds stacked against me definitely has not hindered me from trying to succeed before and this year is just a step in the direction of being great. One this journey of S22, I want to set more realistic expectations for myself in order to have a better chance at success. My first goal is to try balancing out my TD:INT ratio to at least be 1:1 or if possible, to have more touchdowns than interceptions. With my receiving core, that seems like a perfectly reasonable goal to meet and I think it can help me get to my second goal of the season with relying on my team. My second goal is to help keep the Baltimore Hawks from dipping below .500 in win percentage on the season. Some may laugh at that, but I think with how great the Hawks are, we can definitely work together and keep our down year to still being a decent year.

As always I like talking more about my user in point tasks than I do my player specifically. I think I make my value as a player from my ability as a user. This season I'm caught in the middle of helping prep game day strategies an NSFL team in the Austin Copperheads and also manage a DSFL team as Co-GM of the Dallas Birddogs. For the Copperheads the goal is an Ultimus. As a team we made several moves in the offseason that put us into immediate in now mode - from the acquisition of Ryan Leaf Jr. to be RB2, the trade with Chicago for Rambo to be CB2, to the acquisitions of Egghands and Jeeta in the draft. I hope to be able to help the Austin braintrust deduce the best way for our star studded lineup to play so that we can secure the championship. For the Birddogs the goal is a little different. Although winning an Ultimini would be an amazing experience and something we're striving for each week I have a personal goal of helping our players reach their maximum potential. I hope to see them hit their earning goals and be desired picks in the Season 22 DSFL draft. The goal of the DSFL is player development, so thats my goal for the Birddogs this upcoming season.

Doug Howlett, esteemed retired professional rugby player for the New Zealand All Blacks, has always been a fan of the American Football League. After undergoing reconstructive age surgery and being returned to his physical age of 19 he has set goals to be a dominant force in the DSFL.

Taking it one step at a time, he has taken on the role of a receiver for the Luchadores. When questioned about the transition from rugby to gridiron he had this to say "In rugby I played Wing. The role I look to play for Tijuana is similar, I am coming into this organization to be that speed guy on the outside. I " (Source, 2020). Howlett was asked what is in store for him this year? "I hope to crack 1,000 receiving yards. Just need coach to let Ben rip loose and give us the opportunity. This is the year I prove the haters wrong."

Howlett was also queried on his thoughts of the teams performance last year and his predictions going forward. "Yeah we lost some great talent to the NSFL expansion draft but we only JUST missed out on making playoffs. We had an amazing draft and we picked up some great talent all round. I got drafted 60th overall. How I slipped so far is anyone's guess but the connection Ben and I have is incomparable, we gone make playoffs, we gone make Ultimini and we gone bring home that trophy. Doubters of today will be fans of tomorrow." (Reference, 2020).

Howlett's closing remarks - "Mucha Lucha."

It is a completely new world for Bruce Buckley for a variety of reasons. He was picked up by the Arizona Outlaws in the National Simulation Football Draft and was immediately moved up into the big leagues. This was a surprise to Bruce Buckley as he was expecting to remain in the developmental league and assist the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers in going back to back in winning championships. The other major shift for Bruce Buckley was the move from guard to tackle, especially since he is now the starting left tackle for the Arizona Outlaws. Buckley has gone form having massive meat shields in the form Doug Quail and Simon Tremblay on the outside of the line to be the most important figure, being the man who blocks the blindside of starting Outlaws quarterback Jay Cue.

With a major shift occurring, it is difficult for Bruce Buckley to determine which goals he wishes to achieve as it is a period of unknown for him. Buckley wants to perform better than he did last season as well as continuously improve throughout the season as Buckley gets more comfortable in the position. Buckley wants to show that he is an up and coming lineman who will be ready to rock the world. Another primary goal is to be nominated for offensive lineman of the year and potentially be close to a pro bowl debut.

This is my first season in the NSFL, so I'm looking at more 'firsts' than records. I already snagged my first receiving touchdown, which was a big moment since it was our quarterback's first touchdown as well. I'm hoping to get involved in the run game a bit as the season goes on; we've got some great guys in the backfield but I feel like I can push them a bit for a few carries. Especially on the goal line, where I can pound it between the tackles and vulture a few touchdowns. My first rushing touchdown is going to feel even better than the receiving one did, and my first NSFL will is going to trigger a celebration that's only been outdone by the Ultimini celebration I had a couple seasons ago.

Our team goal is always going to be the same; a Championship. This year we are an extremely young team so it might be a growing year, but if we make the playoffs anything can happen. I think that we have a good shot at pushing our way into the playoffs; our first game was a loss but we performed well; the ball just didn't bounce our way. If we get a couple breaks we could surprise some people this year.
