(S23) - PT3 - Dream Team - Saliva^ - 07-02-2020 All of them expansion bids and not a single of them for a biggest country in the world. Ok, I didn't check all pages here, but whatever. So how about adding none other than Russia into this mix. It could be cool to see how people there are gonna react to a fairly new sport (for them). To make things even more awkward; instead of putting a team to Moscow or St. Petersburg I'm about put it to Krasnodar. A pretty well known city for Russians themselves but not much outside of it (some European soccer fans do know this place though). This city locates in a south west of Russia so players won't be scared of being freezed during the game. Like I said, one of the most interesting part of this could be people reactions to it. Just imagine - local fans are rushing to the stadium to see a ''football'' game only to see it's not the exact football they were thinking about. Priceless reactions guaranteed. Anyways, some people in Russia are actually familliar with this game and even watching NFL on regular basis so it's not like I chose a completely out of reach place. As for the name, I'm not gonna go around circles here. Kransodar Bulls. Their local footall team has a bull on their logo with that green font on the background. It makes sense to continue this bull theme then. Assuming that their team's owner not gonna sue me for stealing a logo concept hah. So yeah, enjoy Russia my dear NSFL friends. (S23) - PT3 - Dream Team - Aenir - 07-02-2020 There has been a lot of talk about expansion lately, and I think bringing a team to my hometown would be magnificent. As you can see what a fine physical specimen I am, bringing a team to Albion would also bring out the great players like myself. You know, the sport would probably still not get as much fan love in the Old World like Blood Bowl does, but it needs to be addressed. The Team Name could be the Albion Wolfhounds. They are, of course, famously known throughout the World. The colors would be a red and a white, to strengthen with what the Empire’s flag Is, as well as show the world what we are truly made of. The Wolfhound’s head would most likely be in the middle of the helmet, and there would be a wolfhound statue outside of the stadium to strike fear into the opponents who come here. Yes, I think the Albion Wolfhounds would be a devastating team for opponents no doubt. I am glad to attempt to bridge the gap between here and the Old World and bring a team home would help generate revenue for both of the areas. The Albion Wolfhounds are here to stay my dear friends, and I am excited to send word home about it. (217 words) (S23) - PT3 - Dream Team - Attopax - 07-02-2020 Although going off the beaten path is admirable and leads to solid creative results, sometimes there are just things that are "off" in a league if the basics aren't covered. That is why the largest sports market in the world needs representation -- New York City! New York is known for many things, but it is mainly known for its size and the impressive skyline that dominates a traveler's approach into any of the boroughs. Therefore, I would propose the New York Titans! I chose "Titans" because New York is one of the titans of culture in the whole world. It is a titan of finance, theater and the arts, music, cuisine, architecture, fashion and beyond. Overall, it is one of the largest, most influential, and most dominant cities on the planet. Given how prominently it is featured in ads, prints, novels, and media altogether, it would be a prime candidate to take the NSFL to the next level, and you know that people would fill stadiums every week! As I said, I know the answer isn't "off the wall" or super creative, but given that it is probably one of the largest sports markets in the world, its absence in the NSFL is very noticeable, and should be remedied sooner rather than later. Code: 217 Code (S23) - PT3 - Dream Team - juniped - 07-03-2020 ![]() I present, the Moscow Mules (S23) - PT3 - Dream Team - iStegosauruz - 07-03-2020 The NSFL as an overarching league has teams in a variety of unique places. The DSFL has teams in London and Tijuana. The NSFL has a team in Yellowknife and another as far away as Honolulu. One place the NSFL has yet to expand is to the final frontier - space. I think there is a legitimate argument to be made to put a team on the moon. Names aren't my strong suit, but I think you could easily make it the "Lunar Rovers" or something similar. The default logo could be a picture of an actual rover complete with the little wheels and satellite dish to beam radio signals home. The alternate logo could be a dog in a space suit, an allusion to the popular name for a pet dog "rover." The argument against such an ambitious expansion idea would be that it could break realism for some players, however just as some players thrive on having realistic teams and locations, others thrive on pushing the boundaries of what we think is normal and could find fun and excitement in such a novel expansion location. At the same time, not all locations that the league currently has teams are particularly realistic for a professional sports leagues - whether its due to time to travel to those locations, size of the community the teams are in, or other issues. #PlatoonTheMoon (S23) - PT3 - Dream Team - RansackTheUniverse - 07-03-2020 In this day and age, it only makes sense to factor covid into the decision making process when deciding where the next expansion franchise in the NSFL should be located. While case numbers seem to be going up and up every day, there remains one continent that stands above all the others. One continent that has such strong social distancing that they have yet to experience a single covid case! That continent of course is Antarctica! While you may be thinking that Antarctica is a little too cold, or maybe a little too remote to house a professional sports team. Well with sports being played without crowds for the near future, I figure it shouldn't be too expensive to build a dome that is just barely large enough to fit the football field and just about nothing else. Bleachers? Nah. Locker rooms? Nah, players can change at home or in their cars. Well now that we've indisputably determined the absolute best possible location for the NSFL's next expansion franchise, the final order of business is to decide on a name for the team. Now this was an easy one. There is a very noticeable lack of mosquitos in Antarctica, and I can’t think of a better way to remedy this than naming Antarctica’s next professional sports franchise after them. So there you have it, bar none the best name and location for a new NSFL franchise: The Antarctic Mosquitos. (S23) - PT3 - Dream Team - FleshBagSoup - 07-03-2020 If I had the chance to have my own expansion team and be able to decide on name and location it would have to be the team that I have already joked about before. The team name would be the Chihuahua’s and they would be located in Chihuahua, Mexico. I think it's just a fun and great combo because the name of the team and location would be the same and I don’t think that you would be able to do that with many type of team names unless you named a team something boring like the “ New York New Yorkers “ (just a bad made up example). For the logo, a chihuahua would be normal enough since the league has ghosts and sabercats. The Chihuahua’s could be the first Mexican team in the NSFL and as far as the team's location relative to the rest of the league it would be fairly close to some of the southern teams like the Copperheads or Outlaws. The population of Chihuahua would be plenty considering how little some of the teams in the NSFL have like Yellowknife and Sarasota. Overall I think that the Chihuahua Chihuahua’s could be an exciting team to finally expand into Mexico because who could hate them unless you hate chihuahuas then I guess it's understandable. (S23) - PT3 - Dream Team - Hooperorama - 07-03-2020 ![]() WHY ONLY NA TEAMS, WHY NOT GO OUTSIDE .....INDIA!!! (S23) - PT3 - Dream Team - golden_apricot - 07-03-2020 If I was in charge of creating an expansion franchise for the league I would Lotte locate the franchise in the great state of Massachusetts as that is where I was born and raised and I think they would take very kindly to great football team in the area. This part of the country is used to winning all the time and is very much so a supporter of teams that win all of the time however if we went through bad patches that would be some issues getting fans into the stadium. The team name would likely be the pink hats because let's be honest half of our fans don't care about the sport at all they just want to go and take pictures and say that they were at the event rather than actually paying attention to what is going on on the field. Outside of that I don't think there's too much that needs to be stated I think this would be a great location for a team and I think fans would find the team name at least somewhat entertaining to say and hear especially the dieHard fans who are sick of random s*** happening from these fans that don't really actually care.
