RE: (S29) PT 3 - Teammates - TheRocheLimit - 06-13-2021 I feel like playing for the New York Silverbacks is a privilege because I get to share the field with so many outstanding players. It's very hard to pick just one player to recognize but I think my fellow linebacker Makoto Otawara (@TubbyTim69) deserves a special shoutout. We've been playing together for multiple seasons now and I can't describe how big of a difference Otawara makes to our defense and our team as a whole. When we're on the field together I know I've got someone there that has my back. Our entire LB corps, and hell our entire defense, works like a well-oiled machine and my man Makoto Otawara is a big reason why. This season in particular he has taken enormous strides. He's flying all over the field making plays. He's crushing anyone and everyone that comes over the middle, but that's not all! My guy is getting after the quarterback, stopping plays in the backfield, and even popping the ball loose on his massive hits. He's truly doing everything out there and it's a joy to see. I know Father Time is undefeated, and as my career begins it's final chapters I am so relieved to know that Makoto Otawara is there to keep things running smoothly and to keep opposing offenses honest. It's an honor and a privilege to share the field with him. RE: (S29) PT 3 - Teammates - J0EB - 06-13-2021 @Jimi64 is the model teammate. He exudes friendliness, pride and confidence in the team, optimism, and he’s kinda cute ngl. Related to the league, no matter the outcomes of the games, Jimi is always supportive of the team and strives to point out the positive moments we had out on the field. His LB, Desoto, while may not get the flashiest stats, has a consistent presence out on the field in coverage, and his willingness to play in this “less desirable” position is extremely admirable. Recently, we’ve started to play the popular pirate simulator, Sea of Thieves, and it’s been such a blast. We go on fun adventures and talk the whole time about not just the game but life too and how we’re doing. I’m so glad that I can get to know him deeper than just his player out on the field through this. Negs has joined us twice now too and talking with him is also really fun. It gets chaotic sometimes and Jimi will dish out strict orders, but we get out of tough situations because of his strong leadership. He definitely earns the right to be the captain as we set sail. The game perfectly captures our roles, with Jimi as the strong Skipper leading the way, and myself as Gilligan messing up most of the time and missing targets quite frequently during cannon fights. RE: (S29) PT 3 - Teammates - PMoney - 06-13-2021 On the field, plenty of the team have been having a stellar year. Despite his performance the other night, Colby Jack is still the frontrunner for QBotY and a strong candidate for MVP still. He’s been helped out by the frontrunner for WRotY Kai Sakura putting up 1200 yards in 10 games and hauling in 11 TDs already. He’s about on pace to break the receiving TD record if he keeps up his current pace. On the defence, Leonard Taylor is currently sitting at 10 sacks, 2nd in the league and also has 2 safeties which puts him as one of the top defensive players in the league, not just hit position. While this could be expected from his name, he has been dominating offensive lines this season and is a standout DE across the entire league. It’s hard to pick a teammate in Yellowknife who isn’t a standout person in the LR as the team is full of amazing users. The team captains this season in Opera and moonlight are standouts and Opera becoming such a big impact on the team so quickly is extra special but the variation in captains year on year shows just how many great users we have as every year the captains change and always to very deserving players. RE: (S29) PT 3 - Teammates - xtitanxmvpx - 06-13-2021 PT #3: Teammates (253 words via Google Docs) @negs There are quite a few people I could talk about here from Philly. We might only be on the cusp of our team’s success, I think its impressive we are all of the same mindset that it’s only a matter of time before we start shoving the words back into everyone else’s mouths around the league. However, having to pick one person that has really been putting it all together and showing how good of a teammate they can be on and off the field has to be Negs. (Honestly I could have put one of 5 other people here too). I choose Negs because he gets literally the most shit from around the league about how he throws picks and gives up games and all that shit, but through it all he holds a smile and continues to be hilarious in the locker room. Not only is Negs funny, but he is also constructive even with all the league wide pessimism that surrounds him. He’s have a much improved season especially here towards the final stretch and I think he could still lead us to a playoff chance if things fall right. This is only the tip of the iceberg for all our teammates and in the years coming other teams had better watch out because we have a supportive, motivating locker room that keeps people active, a GM duo that drafts with the right things in mind, and players who are killing it even with lower TPE values. RE: (S29) PT 3 - Teammates - Tomen - 06-13-2021 I would like to think that the Kansas City Coyotes had quite a few standout players so far in this current season. The leader of our offense future Baltimore Hawks Quarterback Jaroppolo Jr. is having quite a nice season with over 1800 passing yards to his name while throwing not a single interception so far and finding the endzone for a touchdown 10 times which gives him the best QB Rating in the season. Another big contributor to our offense is the former Quarterback Abed who switched to the Wide Receiver position in the last season and is now leading the DSFL in receiving yards as well as touchdown receptions with 7. Abed is also leading the league with a whopping 20.6 yards per reception quite possibly due to also having the longest reception in the season so far with 87 yards. On the defensive side there is a big standout with Professor Gravity who managed to already get safeties this season as a big interior presence at the Coyotes defensive line. One of our Cornerbacks called Cameron also managed to force 3 fumbles so far in the season which is another statistic in which a Coyotes player is sitting at the top of the DSL. RE: (S29) PT 3 - Teammates - JBLAZE_THE_BOSS - 06-13-2021 I can’t believe that yet another season is flying by so quickly. I am excited about where we stand right now in Sarasota, and I think that this season could be another one for the record books for us. I feel like I’m in the prime of my career, and the biggest part of this is my teammates. Every single person on this staff from the top to the bottom have made it possible for me to be where I am today. If I had to single out one teammate that’s made the biggest impact for me, I’d have to say honestly that it’s Tre’Darius J’Vathon. We go way back to when we were playing youth football tournaments across the country when we were kids. We were great friends then, and it made me sad in some ways when we decided to go to different colleges. We always talked about going to the same school to team up when we were kids, but it just never happened. When I learned that there was a chance it could happen in the ISFL, I nearly begged the team’s front office to make the move. I would’ve paid for his Uber to and from the Airport out of my own pocket if they wanted me to. This off-field chemistry has shown itself on the field as we are both now en route to the best statistical season of our careers. The Sailfish are the best thing that could’ve happened to me. Code: 248 words RE: (S29) PT 3 - Teammates - shadyshoelace - 06-13-2021 Although the Baltimore Hawks haven't been setting scoreboards on fire this season, the offensive unit has a ton of great teammates that have been putting in work together to build something great. Dante King is having a solid rookie season as part of a running back committee, and that is all possible thanks to the selflessness and generosity of his teammates. In particular, I should shout out @TheDangaZone who was willing to position switch to wide receiver to accommodate the drafting of King, and the decision is paying off for him as he is the team's leading receiver with over 600 yards. A modest total, but one that will only grow as the rest of the offense continues to round itself into shape with him as a lead target. @infinitempg also needs some love despite the fact that he should clearly be riding the bench behind 1st overall pick Dante King, because he is only a 2nd overall pick and thus inherently inferior. But really, he has been willing to play in a rotation that has seen Goose and King split carries virtually evenly and has only honked about it a few times, which is really cool. Finally, @Bigred1580 was willing to accept new competition for targets in the passing game with Parker's position switch, and while he leads the team in receptions currently, his stat totals are definitely lower than they may have been if King wasn't on the team. Also he's kind of an ok guy off the field too, I guess. It will be fun to see this offense continue to evolve over the seasons into one of the best in the league. Code: 276 words RE: (S29) PT 3 - Teammates - TheCC - 06-13-2021 The Butchers season hasn’t been the greatest that I’ve experienced, but we’ve still had some bright spots! Some of those bright spots are through the performances of some of our players. I think that the biggest surprise to the team in my opinion has been Baby Yoda. At first glance it looks like a pretty pedestrian season. He’s got just under 400 yards, and is averaging a decent 4.6 yards per carry. However, if you look to the edge of the stat sheet, you’ll see why he’s so surprisingly good this season. He has an incredible 9 rushing touchdowns. This is good enough to tie him for 3rd place in the league in rushing touchdowns. I’m going to be honest, this wasn’t our plan. We wanted to feed our young star running back Madison Hayes who is fresh off of an offensive rookie of the year campaign, but Yoda has been an absolute vulture to Hayes’s touchdowns. Hayes will get us inside the 5, and then Yoda will seize the opportunity and punch it in for 6. However, as a GM I can’t be too upset. A touchdown is still a touchdown, after all, no matter which of our players is scoring it. I just wish they could be coming from one of our more active players! RE: (S29) PT 3 - Teammates - Tomasnz - 06-13-2021 stand out team mates, well since this isnt highlander this spread some love around the entire locker room. first off to the amazing Defensive end pair for baltimore, slayer entrigain and Maui Waialiki, slayer smells of sulphurous but thats about the only negative thing that can be said of the pair. They both have great stats this season. Looking at 20+ sacks between just them I recons, while also being lockeroom heavy weights. a highly underrated part of being a good team mate is making the best choice for everyone not just omyour own player. no one has displayed this better than our general manager frick nasty. of particular note his treatment of Gimmy Jaropolo, our future quartback and personal protege of frick. Why personal stats might have been better for gimmy to start over Our mostly checked out veteran Luke Skywalker. But instead the vet is leading as they should, and the nearly rookie is enjoying their first season as a dsfl starter. Looking forward to seeing what gimmy can do next season for us in Baltimore. Just one example where Frick sets the example to follow. Also amazing is our entire offensive unit. Who are in many ways the engine room of the team while also becoming an increasingly important part of the on feild production and contribute now the defense has come of age; It's a very young unit. And I am looking forward to s30? Where we will be getting to see a very good batch of very good weapons along with a 4 year starter at qb too..
