RE: (S32) PT 2 - Overreactions - PMoney - 11-19-2021 Season 32 is the season when Patrik Money makes a pro bowl. Despite his reputation as a top DT throughout his career, Money has never performed up to the standard expected of him, until now. Through the first 6 games he has 3 sacks, not a huge number but 1 behind the lead at DT and importantly, 1 safety. Extrapolating from this data means that, by the end of the season, he will almost certainly have 8 sacks and 3 safeties. The 3 safeties will put him joint 1st all time in single season safeties and his scoring potential from the defensive side of the ball will undoubtedly get him a pro bowl spot. While he may finish behind Chuck Roth in the DT of the year awards, Money will finally be able to be satisfied with his career as the end draws near for him. Unfortunately the Yellowknife Wraiths won't be in a spot to pick up another Ultimus but they will definitely be in awards contention again. RE: (S32) PT 2 - Overreactions - Matty7478 - 11-19-2021 The London Royals have started 1-3 in this campaign and honestly, that 1 win means as much to me currently as an Ultimini. I am a new QB in the league, and as such cannot realistically expect my team to be dominant as soon as I begin playing for it. Exacerbating that obvious issue is that the S32 Royals aren't exactly the most stacked team in DSFL history. Looking at the tracker, our average player TPE is much lower than those teams around us and it shows during key situations that make the difference between winning and losing games. Looking at our team holistically, I think a realistic target is to win a couple more games with some strong performances, but shift focus towards next season sooner than other teams may do. In terms of personal performance, it hasn't been going particularly great in most ways. My player has thrown 1 TD compared to 6 Interceptions - 4 of which came in 1 game against the Buccaneers - and exists the first 4 weeks of the season with a QBR of 55.4. I think my personal performances will only get better as times goes on and my accuracy is improved, but I certainly will not be in the running for any awards come seasons end; at best, look for me to have a positive TD:INT ratio and to have made a continued impact with my rushing. After 6 games, we’re sitting at 5-1, we have the most points scored in the ASFC, and we’ve only allowed 139 points as well! We look poised to make another fantastic run at the Ultimus, and hopefully we can pull this one off. It’s not out of the question to say we’re a top contender for the title! Our only loss was against the other 5-1 team in the league, Honolulu, who we lost to in the ASFC title game last year. They’ll be our top competition for sure. As for Bayley Cowabunga? He’s not doing too shabby. 39 catches for 402 yards and 5 TDs is a pretty good stat line through 6 games, but i would like to see some more production out of the #1 WR on a good team. But with Jim The Vampire on the squad getting as many targets, I don’t think WR of the year is in Bayley’s future this time around. But he’s still peaking so it’ll be fun to see how well Cowabunga does as the season progresses. Oh boy, let's overreact. I was a Positional Player of the Year nominee my first year in the DSFL as a rookie. I was elated. I was absolutely sizzling. Offensive lines didn't know what do with me. I maxed out my TPE my first year, was judicious and tactful in preparing my player, and felt like i had the world at my finger tips. Time for Season 2, I'm a Captain, ready to build on my rookie success. Instead, nothing but failure. I was told that the Sim Gods blessed me my rookie year and it appears I've been smited since. Having a poor S2 was tough enough, but my time in the ISFL has been frustrating. No Sacks. No Tackles for Losses. A few spare tackles but I might as well be replaced by a bot. Now, I might be tempted to rage, to complain, to bemoan my position. However, that's not how Czargyros' work. Instead, I'll push forward. I'll believe in myself. I'll sizzle! |
