If I commit a crime, and there is a precedent from before I was born, they still follow that precedent regardless of my knowledge of it. Tough luck.

If you have to ask if something is ok (i.e. going to the rulebook) that task is probably in the wrong until proven otherwise by reading the rulebook. I do not think "valid reasoning" would overturn this as many people have said "valid reason" means nothing in terms of rules, so the correct action would be to ask someone of authority.

The Catch Rule in the NFL is a big controversy and has a butt load of grey area. We understand that the catch rule has grey area, but we still follow it until an official change is made, and it is up to the discretion of the ref, or video reply analyst expert Mike Peroria (SP?) And his crew.

I'd still be inclined to fight for a rewording of the rule, as this incident is nothing like that incident (an additional 275 TPE creates a player advantage in the sim that isn't there in this incident). It's definitely a good rule to have, don't get me wrong, I just think if this has come up twice, there's obviously a problem with the wording.
What do you mean if this has come up twice?

Also the 275 TPE advantage a player had is actually irrelevant to the discussion here. Whether that was there or not doesn't change the fact of deleting another player's post, or changing a player's name in this instance.

It's not about the lead up to the crime, it's about the crime. Obviously crime is a bit hyperbolic but you understand what I mean here.

Are you implying that...?

This punishment is 100% justified.

People clamoring for a slap on the wrist are failing to realize that is exactly what this punishment is. I would know, I had the same thing in S3/S4.

It's unfortunate if this minor penalty causes Pens to quit the league. If he can't handle a couple months without mod powers and some fake money loss then that's not the HO's fault.

Morale of the story is if you're unsure about something, ask an HO member.
