RE: (S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity! - GoonerBear - 12-17-2020 As is his way, Rando Cardrissian determines how he donates his time by feeding a bunch of ideas into a hat and pulling one out for his solo project. This time around, he draws "playing Santa at local foster shelters." Oh, heck yeah. He's gotta pack in a little more fluff into the suit than he might have thought, but dropping in the guise of Saint Nick on kids is not a half-bad pull. He gets the costume together and hops in the car with the shelter director and his agent, both of whom start talking terms. They sound...restrictive. "Guys, guys...I'll be fine. Just lemme do my thing." Once they pull in, he hops out with a sack full of gifts they could get together, one for each child, name tagged and everything. The kids flock to the lobby at the entrance of Rando Claus, and he starts having a ball with it. He doesn't even seem to mind as some of the kids get close and want to climb up into his lap. He makes sure to take his time with each of them, give them some encouragement, and make a show of reaching into his sack and pulling out the present meant for each of them. Toys, accessories, clothing...each care package put together to meet each child's needs and get them a little something they wanted. They all seem to be having a good time, and he looks back to his agent. "Told y'all I'd be fine. I'll be a bit before I meet back with the crew for our team service project." Where or how would your player spend their time volunteering? Would we find them in a children’s hospital meeting some kids, serving meals at the soup kitchen, or somewhere else? Would they volunteer alone, or with their teammates? At this time of the year, the place where I think I'd most like to be helping out is in food banks and other community resources for those dealing with food uncertainty. The daily concern of if you're going to have enough food for your family and where it's coming from is one of the saddest things given how much food gets wasted and thrown out in the world. Especially as someone who, at 300 pounds playing weight, eats a lot, I feel like this is an area that is important to focus on. Food gets treated like a treat or a way to show off by many people - going to the "hot new place" where you can only get a reservation by knowing the chef to impress your buddies, or ordering the most expensive wine to look like someone important. But on the other hand, you have people who have uncertainty about if they can have enough fruit or veggies to avoid scurvey! So yeah, it's definitely an area I think is important to keep in mind, especially around the holidays with their focus on food and gatherings. I haven't really talked about this with my teammates before, but if they want to join me I'll be down at the food bank a couple blocks from the stadium on Tuesdays for the rest of the month - hit me up. So first of all when we see Korbin Brown he's always smelling good that's because he's got all the bitches around him and do you know why this is? This is because of Korbin's immaculate cooking skills. His chili is absolutely to die for scrumptious and not too terribly spicy. But I do like it spicy so go ahead and pour on that hot sauce and let us make it hot. But anyways, during the Thanksgiving holiday of 2020 he decided to take his talents to the cooking kitchen for the homeless and gave the chili to the homeless who have absolutely nothing to their name. They adored the chili, so much so that I think they took some home to the kids! Korbin Brown simply loves the Hawaii people and their culture, so he actually took some pineapple and put it in the chili, much how people put pineapple on their pizzas. The Hawaiians loved this and thought it was an accurate representation of their magnificent Polynesian culture. I have been to the Polynesian resort at Walt Disney World resort and thought it was a blast. RE: (S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity! - Mooty99 - 12-18-2020 There are many charitable causes the Jackie likes to help. How weather due to some unfortunate incidents he has been banned his very favourite charity. For some reason they won't let him back in to the blood bank despite his very keen and excited nature to help transport and check the blood. Apparently it is a bit unusual for someone to want to work in a blood bank and not give blood and it is even more unusual for someone to taste the blood to make sure it's pretty good. With this in mind Jackie will instead volunteer at the local animal shelter. Jackie has a great affinity for night dwelling animals. He has in the past had run ins with animals of course such as local raccoons but he does understand the animalistic nature of wild creatures and so is often found of an evening helping out. His sanity has been questioned when he was found having a lot in conversation with that but don't let this put you off. Jackie has even started To home stray animals and has recently got for dogs each of them very large and aggressive that no one else seemed to once that he was perfectly happy to take them home why we do not know he mumbled something about the training them to bark at dusk but who knows. WC 227 RE: (S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity! - yonggarius - 12-18-2020 William Lim is a Buddhist. So understandably he's not someone who celebrates Christmas religously. However, that certainly doesn't mean that William doesn't enjoy the festivite spirit of the holiday. Especially now that he had been appointed Yeti's offensive captain, William will be more involved in (and gladly so) in the team's holiday charity plans. He always liked helping other people out, anyways. As always, the Yeti organization had prepared several charitable activities for the festive season to give back to the community they had received so much. This year, Yeti players will visit a local children's hospital and hold a fan siging event for the children there, and spend some more time with them. And since that hospital is the very one thay William had been supporting through his private charity foundation since he got into ISFL a few years ago, he'll do more than just signing autographs and talking to children in hospital hall. He'll personally visit a few children whom he helped financially to get their treatments, and will try to get their spirits up for Christmas season as well as govong out some autographs and memorabilia. While it's nothing much, and he always strives to gove back more to the community, William always feels happy when he sees the smiles on the faces of those he helps.
