Well, if the National Simulation Football League were indeed to close up shop and void the rest of the current season, I would have to say that would probably piss Magnus off more than he already was. Sure he is built like a brick shit house and is just a roaring freight train of pent up rage and anger on the football field already, but this would just elevate that to a whole new level. After being passed over until the 11th round in the Developmental Simulation Football League draft, it is just one more thing to add to the list. Most of his time would be spent in the gym, literally throwing weights around. For outdoor activities, Magnus would also quite literally run through brick walls and other hard surfaces. Nothing will stand in his way and prevent him form achieving his goals, whether it be physical objects or otherwise. Playing with a chip on your shoulder would definitely be putting it lightly when it comes to Magnus' playstyle. Taking away one of the only outlets for his frustrations of everyday life would not be a pretty sight, leaving nothing but shattered walls and broken weight rooms in his wake as he prepares for the reopening of the league.

The question of suspending a season is a difficult one to answer. Like many of the other athletes present in this league, gridiron football is not just a paycheck for me, it is a way of life. If the season were to be suspended, as a foreign player, I would have many different options, none of which would be easy to take. First, it might seem fit to stay in Norfolk for the foreseeable future just to be able to be near the training facilities and be able to continue to work out. Secondly, it would be hard to not get the next flight back to London. Truly, whilst it would be a shame to leave my team and put the friendships that I have made on hold (or at least not as active as they would be) in times like these, I would have to do what is right for me, and that’s going back home, to a country with free healthcare. I believe that the Norfolk locker room would be able to handle this absence. We’ve already planned our abomination of a movie night, and I personally cannot wait to show everyone the 2019 masterpiece, ‘The Knight Before Christmas’ starring Vanessa Hudgens. Lastly, whilst it would be incredibly sad to lose what’s been a very fun season, the real world takes precedence over any sport, and so I would accept the loss of the season and then do what I can to help battle Covid. Whether that’s volunteering with the NHS or just staying inside to make sure I don’t become a carrier of this awful illness.

Should the season be over I would likely commit to more shifts on the ambulance. Our small rural station runs two trucks, one 24-hour unit, and one spare unit. During major emergencies, we do run both trucks. I would have to commit to a couple of full-tours at least. This is in order to meet my shift minimums and to ensure that I can stay at the station between shifts. With my shifts completed, I plan on going back to Canada to be with my first ex-wife who is a power engineer with a homestead near Fort Saskatchewan. She has been in isolation, working from a home office since January. There is a massive ice dam on the barn roof that needs removing. We need to prepare for spring. With the border closed it may be difficult to cross however I do have dual citizenship and some connections at the Border Agency. While it technically would be safe to stay near Spokane, Canada seems like the safer bet these days. I would still be able to work as a first responder at my old volunteer fire hall. At this point, I would rather be in a full-SCBA and level-1 HAZMAT suit all the time. Stay safe people, it's getting real on the streets.

If Gabagool had to socially distance and self isolate he would spend the whole time perfecting his cured meats in his basement. Gabagool, Proscuitto, Pancetta, whateva he has it going on down there. Of course, his large family gatherings would have to be put to a complete halt so he would spend a lot of time on zoom speaking with his cousins living in Canada and in Jersey. They would have "meat offs" over the camera where they all would compare their different cured meats. Tony always wins these of course but unfortunately it is normally because of the scent of his meats and not the visual appearance, so Tony fears the inability to smell his meat. Hopefully he would get the nerds from the Yeti social media to start working on smell o vision again so he can win the annual Gabagool "meat off".

He would also spend time with his kids, teaching them the ways of meat and football, the only two things that Tony knows well. He never will make a great dad, but man will his kids know how to cure a good ham, and throw the ole pigskin around. Tony will of course be opening a deli when he retires and all of this will help him for his post career, which is approaching soon.

What a strange question. I mean who could ever imagine that an entire country would be put under quarantine? But just to play along, here what my team and I would do in this very hypothetical situation. First of all, I guess that the training would have to be suspended. Too risky for players to get sick after all. So with the official training cancelled and gyms closed I would turn my home into a workout station! Getting up in the morning? 5yd dash to the kitchin. Making my famous omelette for my even more famous breakfast schnitzel? Better juggle them eggs, boy. Brushing your teeth? No games here, teeth are a serious business. Kids, brush your teeth! And of course garden work. Oh how I love my garden. Best chance to grow all of the fruits and vegetables needed for a healthy schnitzel diet.

But still, living without football is impossible. So me and my team would join an online simulation football league where you develop your player by completing tasks like writing prompts and stuff. I know this sounds crazy but just think about it: how awesome would that be?

So yeah, that is what my team and I would do in this very unlikely and hypothetical situation. But you never know. Nothing wrong in being prepared I guess?!
