RE: (S27) PT4 - Superstar - Gragg9 - 02-26-2021 It was the weirdest phone call. The biggest name in hollywood (Mr. Producer Man) called my phone number, not even my agent. Told me he wanted me he wanted me to come star in his new movie about a dystopian Nigerian civil war. I guess the plot involves two Nigerian princes fighting over inheritance or something? Anyway, my role was supposed to be some intimidating action-hero mercenary guy. They wanted someone buff so they Mr. Producer Man reached out to his favorite football player (woulda thunk I have a fan?). Anyway, he just needed me to transfer him $750,000 to clear the paperwork, visas, and all that junk. Pay for the film is, like, 20 times that so even if that transfer is a scam I’ll still make a huge profit! Way easier than tweeting for a week for that money. So ya, I think I’m gunna do it. Probably won’t even bother getting ahold of my agent. Might as well take care of the no-brainer stuff like this film deal myself. Two weeks later… So here’s the thing. It didn’t quite occur to me that if it does happen to be a scam, I probably wouldn’t star in or get paid for the movie. I wired the money two weeks ago. Starting to think I got scammed. Word Count = 229 RE: (S27) PT4 - Superstar - mcgriddleluver - 02-26-2021 With a few seasons under his belt Mac Griddle is starting to be well known around the state of New York. Naturally living in one of the most popular cities in the world Griddle has been approached about numerous advertisement gigs but earlier last week a Broadway producer approached him to star in a musical. Now what the producer didn't know is that Mac sounds like a bad set of breaks when he tries to sing, of course Mac did not even think to mention that when he saw how much he could be making for the show. His agent was able to negotiate to have Mac receive half of his pay before the first practice which normally would be unheard of but due to Griddle's appearance in the show, it is predicted to make more money than the typical show. After the first practice the producer quickly realized his mistake in casting Griddle but at this point it couldn't be undone. Fortunately the rest of the cast didn't have any expectations for Griddles abilities as a performer and were able to just laugh at the situation. A few of them offered to help Mac get a little better at his singing which he happily accepted but their efforts fell short. RE: (S27) PT4 - Superstar - CrazyCaityCat - 02-26-2021 Caitlyn was nervous. She’d been called to this meeting with a power broker of some kind, she really wasn’t sure what it was about but her agent told her that she had no choice but to go and agree to whatever he had to offer. She was sitting in a plush office, fancy art on the walls, a thick, expensive looking rug, a fantastic, well polished desk. She was alone, just sitting in her best business casual outfit, her agent insisted she wear this outfit specifically. The door behind her opened and a tall man with salt and pepper hair walked in and sat down. “Ms. Catowize! Nice to finally meet you! I’m Drake Henderson, how are you feeling?” “I’m fine, thank you.” “Good! Great! I won’t waste your time. I’ve got an idea and I think it would be great. All the people I talk to say you’ve got a real chance to make a minor league team in the ISFL and, if you really show your stuff there, eventually make a big league roster. That makes you one of the most promising stories in football. With that in mind, I’d like to have you commit to being featured in a television show. I am talking a proper one, with high end production, and real money behind it. We would make you a real star, the first female player to make the ISFL. The catch is none of it airs until you make it. What do you think?” Caitlyn was not too sure about this idea. She was a mid tier division 1 receiver right now, it was doubtful that she’d make an ISFL minor league team if she was being honest with herself. Damn it though. She wanted this. She really wanted this. More than anything in the whole world. All he was really asking was that she bet on herself. “I’ll do it. I’d like to do it, Mr. Henderson. Please, give me this chance.” “Alright! That’s what I like to hear! We’ll get it set up. Good luck Ms. Catowize.” 344 Words RE: (S27) PT4 - Superstar - Vaelynn - 02-26-2021 A reality TV host approached both my brother, Romulus Roman, and I for an opportunity to film a series around our life and upbringing in Gary, Indiana. Our tough upbringing and various hardships made us ideal targets for something like this – identical twins, born in a dangerous city, surrounded by reasons to fail growing up and achieving great success in the ISFL. It is Lifetime TV material. The first few episodes surround our introduction to football in Pop Warner, leading up to the passing of our father and the subsequent life changes and ramifications of that moment. The next segment of the series documents the development of our skills as football players through middle and high school, the hardships of a low-income household with a single mother playing into it. Romulus and I made sure they dedicated an episode to our mom – she was a saint, and without her and her efforts, we never would have made it to where we are… Honestly might not have even had food on the table without her. The final two episodes document the rise to stardom at College and our mother’s passing, and the final episode is really just an intro to our career here in the DSFL. I’m really excited to start filming. Romulus and I approved the roadmap for the episodes, and we just want to show that you don’t have to come from white picket fences and top of the line cleats to be a pro… it just takes heart. 250 words (Remus Roman ![]() RE: (S27) PT4 - Superstar - xtitanxmvpx - 02-26-2021 Xavier was approached for his work he’s been doing off the field in Portland. The cameraman followed Walls as he went from soup kitchen to soup kitchen to children’s hospitals in the area supporting the communities in each place. This is their story. Interviewer: So Xavier, you spend quite a bit of time out here in the community with people who really need the help during these trying times. What would you say is the driving factor behind your selfless acts? Xavier: Man, it’s just giving back to people who need it. My father taught me that if you’re given a gift like I am that its important to share that with others. (As he is handing food trays out to the many homeless and needy that pass through.) You really see life a different way when you’re raised in a family or place that isn’t fulfilling basic needs. Giving food to someone ain’t no big thing. I’m just doing my part. Interviewer: What’re your plans as you continue to grow and eventually move on from Portland? Xavier: To be honest, I’ll continue doing this anywhere I go. Doesn’t matter if it’s here or in another country or whatever. My priorities stay the same and I will always support my team mates and the community that surrounds us. ----After this Xavier and the crew travelled to another soup kitchen and then to Portland’s renowned children’s hospital for photos and time spent with the kids---- Interviewer: You’re great with the kids, it seems to mean alot to them that you’re here. Did you have any role models growing up? Xavier: My father was one of my biggest role models and definitely the most influential one. He always had time for me, even when he didn’t. That’s what I want to try and provide to these kids to the best of my ability. The idea that they can call on me and I’ll be over here or I can give them a call. Interviewer: One last question for this week; with the draft coming up, do you see anything specific that really draws you to specific teams? Xavier: I really think its about the people ya know. I want to be in a place where the people will be able to support each other and treat each other with respect. It’s important to me that I can provide leadership and I will do that for any team that drafts me. That means both on and off the field. I have a bit of a down year this year but that’s what happens when you’re with a great team and just playing your part. Any team that takes me will be getting someone who is fully invested into the team and it’s future man. I work hard; not only for myself, but for the team. With that we ended this week's episode and look forward to the next: A Day in the Life of Walls. I have to watch my every step, making sure I don’t mess up and say something that offends someone. Sometimes I offend people by saying something that I didn’t even realize was offensive. It’s exhausting, I’ve got to be honest with you. My agent insists that I really need to do this, to get my brand out there. The producer pitches multiple ideas to me, ranging from a simple dating show, to a reality show a la Kardashians. I finally relent - kind of. But only if we get to do it my way. The show may not be as flashy as my agent or the producer was hoping - they’re going to be making a “Hard Knocks” knock off, pun intended, about my football camp for kids that I put on every other weekend! RE: (S27) PT4 - Superstar - Net - 02-27-2021 PBE Not sure if i can use it RE: (S27) PT4 - Superstar - WhatAmUs - 02-27-2021 Connor Quigley was eating four plates of baby back ribs at a local Chili's one day, quietly sobbing into his tall glass of straight margarita mix, when he saw a notification flash on his phone. It was a number he did not recognize, so he put down a half eaten rib, lazily wiped the tangy barbeque sauce off of his chubby sausage fingers, and opened the text. It read... "Quigley babay, what's poppin!! This is Chet Fartbox, the producer for reality shows on MTV such as "Your Painfully Average Life" and "How Much Cheese Is Too Much Cheese"! I just wanted to hit your line and say I am such a huuuuge fan!! I wanted to personally reach out, and see if you'd like to be a part of a new show called "The Loneliest Football Man"! It's gonna be a show about the slobbiest and saddest football players in the ISFL, and we're gonna follow them around with cameras and just film them going about their days! So when this idea was pitched to me, I immediately thought of you!!! Let me know broski, would love to work with ya! - Chet Fartbox" Quigley put the phone down, as a solitary tear rolled down his flushed and sauce-stained cheek. He thought for a moment, and came to a decision. He unlocked his phone, and began typing... "I am disgusted. I cannot believe you would approach me with something like this, it is embarrassing, and insulting. Never come at me with anything like this again, or I WILL sue you into oblivion. ... that being said, please put me on the too much cheese show. Thanks. - Connor Quigley" |
