(S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - Raven - 03-14-2020 Quote:Written Option: The new season brings in fresh faces for both the NSFL and DSFL. Write how the new additions to your team will help you compete for a championship this year. Did you lure in a key free agent, or perhaps a few new pieces from the draft? Here in Baltimore we like our offense. We've always had great QBs in our system and we have always had wide receivers to go together with those QBs. In the last draft the Hawks kept that in mind and drafted among a slew of other great players, a great wide receiver to keep the line in place. The future replacement of Errol Maddox, the Hawks brought in Chris Kross. Who will be called up to the big league straight away. Starting off as a third string wide receiver they will be looking to improve themselves this season and working their way up the WR ladder. Just to take a look at his stats so far in the NSFL we can look at the first three weeks. With 3 receptions, Kross has gathered 63 yards in total for a average of 21 yards per catch. He has a long of 35 and a total of 2 touchdowns on 3 receptions already. While Kross is still a third string and is not the prime target, he is able to make himself aviable and be a valuale assest in the red zone. Kross is one to keep an eye on for the future, because if they keep their training up they will be one of the best wide receivers for years to come. Rodriguez, we drafted to build for the future. And what a beautiful future it shall be. As the commentators brought up, we drafted two running backs, one with our second-round pick, when we already have two running backs in Forrest Gump and Marcella Toriki. There’s speculation over Gump’s age and potential position switches, but that’s small minded. New Orleans will be running the formation made famous by the Mighty Ducks (maybe they’re a hockey team but just you wait till how it translates to football), the Flying V. Running behind 5 blockers (shoutout to my fair rub boys), 5 running backs will be lateralling the ball to each other while moving in a V formation. But Gump, Toriki, Barker, and Sunrise only make 4 running backs you say? Why do you think we drafted son of legendary DJ2K? He’ll slide right in as RB5. We also brought in a tight end to add to that blocking scheme in Rainier Wolfcastle. On defense we brought in the best possible option to pair with a polar bear long term, an orc, in Ugarth the Dissector. For when we do absolutely need to pass we have Smolder Bravestone to burn DBs deep in the future. (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - Muford - 03-14-2020 Honestly, even though their record doesn’t show it, The Colorado Yeti have acquired quite a few great players in the draft this season that hopefully by the end of the season develop enough to help push the Yeti into the Ultimus and ultimately win it. The three rookies that the Colorado Yeti drafted and have brought up this season are John “Tripod” Smirh, Defensive Tackle, Immanuel Blackstone, Defensive End, and Red Arrow, Wide Receiver. John Smirh and Immanuel Blackstone both help stabilize the defensive line, adding two big bodied players that are still learning their way on the line. Both have had fantastic outings to start the season, with Smirh recording 9 tackles and 2 sacks in 3 games while Blackstone has recorded 8 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks in the same amount of games. Both continue to be key elements in helping the Yeti overcome the hunch and get back to the Ultimus. The other player that was brought up this season is Red Arrow, who adds some youth to the Wide Receivers in Colorado. Thus far in 3 games, Red Arrow has 4 catches, for 74 yards. Yes, he is lower on the depth chart, but if he continues to improve, watch him skyrocket in stats. (211 words) (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - SwagSloth - 03-14-2020 The Outlaws picked up a few new key pieces in this season's draft. The team is embracing a youth movement and a good draft is essential to building the foundation for the next few seasons. The team picked up several other potential future stars on the defensive side of the ball. The biggest of which is their #14 pick, Pete "Plop" Miller, a Nose Tackle DT from Kentucky. Miller already possesses exceptional strength and has a team-first attitude; early reports are that he's already integrating well into the team's locker room and seems on the path to great things. The team also continued to focus on bolstering its D-Line with DT Juane Arc and DE Jackmerius Tacktheritrix. And the Front Seven got additional support in the form of #16 pick LB Trevor Mouseman. Not to mention needed back-up for the team's Secondary with pick-up of CB Atlas Quinn. Of course, the team also added to its promising offense with two more picks, QB George O'Donnell and RB Baby Yoda. O'Donnel was a curious pick-up given that the team's current success with young QB Jay Cue, but O'Donnell was a value pick-up and has huge upside even if he doesn't have an obvious spot carved out for him. The cream tends to rise to the top and having two talented QBs competing for the job is a great problem for Arizona to have. As for Baby Yoda, he'll be competing with the team's current bell cow RB Ruff Ruff, but his ability as a receiving back will allow him to contribute all over the field. The team is considered a long shot for the play-offs so far, but with so many rising stars, it's only a matter of time before they're back in the running for a title. 294 Words (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - RilesMcGiles - 03-14-2020 The Austin Copperheads have added 2 key pieces in their defense in Riles McTackle and Holden Summers with their tenth and eleventh picks in the Season 21 Draft. The Copperheads improved with what will be one of the best linebackers the NSFL has ever seen with Summers who can tackle anybody and anywhere. McTackle can improve the Copperheads’ on their defensive line immediately as they replace a defensive lineman that went inactive. Holden Summers helped lead his team to a DSFL championship, so he’s already used to winning when the stakes are high. The Coyotes did not do the best during the DSFL season, but McTackle is ready to make his mark bigger by just filling in a hole that Austin had. As long as McTackle pulls his weight Summers will be able to stop anyone that gets behind him. That one-two punch of McTackle and Summers will help make Austin one of the most feared defenses anyone will face. But that’s just the two rookies. Austin also signed a few more pieces in players like Jordan Jackson and Tree Gelbman, who will continue to develop ready to fill in future holes in Austin. The biggest choice that the Copperheads made during the draft was to simply stop drafting. The Copperheads know that they have a team that can go the distance and they don’t want to muddy the waters with superfluous players that could end up just getting in the way. Austin will be a force to beat for many seasons to come. (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - youngcricket - 03-14-2020 How will the new additions help the Dallas Birddogs become a better team? Well without the additions, there would not even be a Dallas team that exists. They went out and got an elite QB in the DSFL draft who is a max tpe earner, the minimum requirement for all great QBs. They added a running back in White Goodman that will likely end up being mostly a receiving back, but still a high end talent if all goes to plan. These two together are an elite duo, but then you add in that they also were able to acquire Richard Lim, a wide receiver that is amongst the hardest working receivers in the draft. He already torched Cadillac for 85 yards in his first game so you can see how improved he is. Then you take into account they managed to get another solid running back, Jeff Phillips, and Mike Lee? It just looks like the offense on the Birddogs is going to be a very elite one. I am not the one that makes the rules, but I do get to convey them. This team is ready to have a very solid offense and compete. Not sure about the defense because I don't pay attention to them very much. (S21) - PT1 - Reloaded - GoonerBear - 03-14-2020 I'm of the opinion we're not quite championship contenders at this time, though I think this draft will help us set the table for future seasons if our team's stock develops. Otis Allen fills a key spot at DT, a position ever in demand with little supply in the NSFL, especially as we hope he'll step up to take over soon for an aging Freezer Riposte. He should prove, in time, a great interior partner next to Brayden Ennis, with Allen going in and Ennis there to make inside rushes hell to proceed through. HeHateMe PickSix provides another massive defensive boost from the corner. His insane speed fits him perfect into his man coverage style and should eventually blossom into the corner to avoid. If that man can get a partner on the other side who can keep up with him and be as dangerous, look the hell out. Leon McDavid at TE helps a ton by providing a reliable receiving option closer to Dan Wright. He's already shaping to be a decently fast safe hands option if the players out wide aren't available. With some time, he'll gain even more utility and depth in other aspects. For my player, Rando Cardrissian, I envision him being a speedy battering ram who can eventually round out into a decent fifth receiving option for a quick checkdown. His strength lends to also go a different way before then, as another blocker on plays requiring more protection, either to let the main receivers get time to get open or provide a lane for one of Wright's multiple bootlegs in a game. I think we've got a ways to go to contend, though the S21 class already in the NSFL would be a great help if they develop. And if a current send-down later comes up to settle in where needed, even better.
