If the NSFL suspended the season I would be at a complete loss. Football is my life and blood, to get that taken away from me would just feel wrong, like I was missing a key part of myself. I’d definitely be upset and disappointed if it happened. I would still work out in my home gym with Wes, but waking up on that first Sunday and not having a game would really throw me off. I don’t think I’d be able to get used to it. I mean I would have so much extra time that I wouldn’t know what to do with. I wake up in the morning everyday and head to the facilities, spend the whole day there and then come home. Spending all day at home would just be weird. I think it’d be smart if Coach set up some video conferences so we could continue our group film studies and keep improving while we’re stuck at home. I mean we can’t get lazy while we’re in quarantine or we’ll lose a step by time we come back for next year. Mental health issues could be an issue league-wide too even, with some guys running the risk of getting depressed if they don’t keep their activity up. Luckily, living with Wes I think he’d be able to keep me sane. We don’t have much time right now to play video games with our constant training, but with all the extra time we’d have staying home all day I think we could definitely get some more co-op going. I know I just said it’s important to not get lazy, but hey, you can’t work out 24/7 though either.

At the point we are this season, just a few weeks away from the beginning of the playoffs, having the season be suspended at this point would be a major disappointment. With the DSFL team records being so tight this season, anything can happen in these last few weeks. On top of that, Gilbert set a goal for himself at the beginning of the season of 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns. Currently sitting at 9 touchdowns, having the season end just 1 touchdown shy of his goal would probably be the most heartbreaking part for him. While losing a season is disappointing to anyone, I think Richard Gilbert would take comfort in the fact that due to this being his rookie season, it likely wouldn’t be the end of his time on the Luchadores before being called up into the NSFL. He would continue to practice on his own and set up a strict training schedule for himself to keep in shape and prepare for the next season. In addition to this, Richard Gilbert knows that life after football is a thing, and that football careers tend to be short. He would use some of the extra time he now has available to sign up for some online classes, or take up a hobby that he can continue after the end of his career.

Yeah, I know. Lives are important, flatten the curve, don't sneeze on other people - yadda yadda yadda. But correct me if I'm wrong, we are still playing in the god damn hardest football simulation league there is on this planet. Every week I have to slice my way through a phalanx of athletes, all regarded as the pinnacle of human evolution. And every time I get crushed by those men, I lift myself up and get back into the huddle as if nothing happened.
That's thoughness. That's what we need in times like these. We are the soldiers of modern days, lying in trenches, covered in mud, filth and blood, keeping all evil away from our homeland, while the weak and soft part of our society is hiding themselves in their homes.
As our forefathers didn't bow down to the great evils of their times, I refuse to bow down to this disease. We need to fulfill our duty to give the people hope in these dark times, we need to be their guiding light. I hope that the commissioner is hearing my plea and continues the league as it is! At least until someone hires me and is guaranteeing me some basic income!

Quote:Written Option: The NSFL is currently the only operating major sports league in the United States. Write 200 words or more on what you would do if the NSFL decided to suspend the season. What would you and your team do to pass the time (and still practice safe social distancing)? How would your player feel about the lost season?

Havran would take the extra free time as a way to spend more time with his family. As a profesional athelete Havran often spends a ton of time away from home and he has to miss his family quite a bit each season. So if the season would be cancelled and HAvran no longer has to do all the traveling, family is the first thing he will keep himself busy with.

Ofcourse Havran will need to keep his physique up, so he will be using his home gym as a much as he can during that time to keep up. He will miss the group sessions and all his team mates, but during times like these safety is the main concern that needs to be looked at.

Havran was having a pretty good season, so if the season abruptly ended and the season was basicly thrown away, Havran would be a little sad, especially because this season is kinda the start of his swan song and it would have been a great way to begin ending it.

Most importantly he would feel bad for all the fans who now how to be without the football, but he also understands it is also for their safety, so in the end Havran has peace with the decision if it has to be made.

Honestly it just feels like we are hitting our groove. To have the season stopped on the eve of the playoffs would be like pulling the rug out from under us. The stuff that coach has already implemented already is getting on our nerves. Like I get it, bacteria this and bacteria that, but the damn lysol makes all the balls sticky. And while I like having a little texture on there, the damn smell haunts me in my sleep. I need the game, hell we all need the game. America needs the game, now more than ever. It would be tough, but when it comes down it we gotta do what we gotta do. It could get serious, and we as a people have to handle it. If that means postoning the season half way in to my rookie year -- so be it. On a personal level, I could manage. I have all I need, and the fellas on the team are disciplined enough to stay in shape. We are trying to accomplish something together, and nobody wants to be the one that let’s the others down.

From me and mine, we just want to be safe and we want you all to be safe. The playoffs will start, and we will be in them. If it’s this month or next. We’ll be there ready to make our mark.

I would be extremely disappointed if the NSFL were to shutdown due to the pandemic. As a member of the expansion London Royals of the DSFL this first season to progress and learn the game is vital to my ultimate success in this league. The locker room in London is absolutely amazing including the management team so there would be no concern about players not working out during a potential break or coming back out of shape. The game reps are what would be missed the most. I imagine there would be some intense 2K or Madden battles to keep the competitive spirit satisfied, quite a bit of good nature trash talk but our team captains Acura Skyline and Derred de Ville would make sure that we are protecting ourselves and the amazing fans in London that have supported us all year. But the thing that I know we all would miss the most is the chance to take this expansion team to the DSFL playoffs in our first ever season and thereby set the tone for the future generations as to what level of play is expected of you when you wear the Royal uniform.
