10.Looking at stats and defense and i see a bunch of tackling monsters that dominated. These stat tackling monsters are LBs and I'm going to talk about someone on my team who I think dominated this year and is a huge key to us making the playoffs this season. Yes I am talking about the one and only Honda Edmond. This season he had the most tackles at 135. Player who comes close to him in that number is Stephens, mockherts and koniepolski. So since they have similar stats what makes Honda stand out? Well honda isnt just a tackling machine, he had 1 tfl, 1 FF, 3 sacks and 4 PDs to go along with that. Sure mockherts had similar production but I like to argue that since hes on Chicago a team who didnt made the playoffs I think Edmond played a kore important role for our team. Also I think austin had a slow start on defense too. They gaved up alot of points in the first few games so overall the defense as a whole not just Edmonds stepped up the 2nd half going undefeated so I wish I could mention the whole austin defense but just wanted to single out ky man Edmonds. He deserves some recognition.

14. My scouting report will be on s23 KCC rookie Reginald Covington lll. This season RClll led the team to a 5-9 record picking up 1654 yards with his arm, 9 TDs and 12 int. Now let's break down his strenght and weaknesses and how will he improve next season?

Strengths:
Has the arm strenght to put the ball anywhere on the feild.

Good accuracy when throwing mid and shirt passes.

Throws it quick with quick routes and gets the ball where it has to be.

Elite ability reading the feild and can smarty read the defense fast.

Decent pocket awareness and know how to move around the pocket comfortably.

Has a quick release and gets it out fast when under pressure.

Not that fast but shown flashes and being able to extent the play if he has to.

Tough as nails and get take a hit and stands in the pocket with no fear.

Weaknesses:

When getting out of the pocket he sometimes trys to do too much and takes unnecessary sacks.

Sometimes reads the defense too quick and throws a pass to early. Int proves that with 12

In deep passes his throws can be too far or very under throwed. Need to work on accuracy on deep passes.

Needs to work on agility and when pocket breaks down he looks like a sitting duck.

Dispite being smart with reads sometimes he makes a throw that makes no sense.

Needs to learn how to take sacks when necessary and soemtines trys to play hero ball

16. The austin copperheads seasom ended with a tragic loss vs the orange county Otters! We was blown out and sadly defense just didnt played strong enough letting Otters run it up pass 50 on offense and our offense disputed trying out best coudnt compete. So what If we did beat the otters and played against the yetis? How do we stack up against the yetis? Well let's make some comparisons. The QB matchup would for sure interesting, we would have got 2 veterans in cole and McDummy battling it out, both high TPE monsters for sure would have been exciting. On RB we are decently good comparing with them on RBs. Of course they have a high TPE back like Owens as there workhorse but also of Vincent to help with the load too. We are the same with Mendonca working as a horse and Leaf Jr. Are recently signee helping out with the pass game and as a second back. Then we have the receving core, honestly I think we way over class them when it comes to receving weapons. Arrow, dropson, Bishop and lim are all good weapons but simply in TPE we over blow them with Tidwell, gained and jeeta 2 of them being over 800 TPE. On defense we are decently matched up too, they have there 2 stars player in Mo berry and Budd Thumper, but also our Copperheads have are very own monster in Dermot Lavelle Jr and Kyle Idlewydle. Honestly I think the matchup would have been very close if we did played looking at our players compared to theres.

Tier 2 - Task 7 - 466 words

I think the biggest struggle for me in Marcella Toriki's career has been finding a way to balance the dream and reality, as well as self and team. Marcella Toriki is a good player at the end of the day. She's the most efficient running back in NOLA franchise history, and over the course of the last 5 seasons has averaged roughly 950 yards per season. She has had some phenomenal games and seasons. Notably, her first season in New Orleans was punctuated by 12 touchdowns, over double the 5 she got her rookie season. In signing with New Orleans, I knew that to some extent I was sacrificing personal glory in terms of awards in order to be on a highly competitive team. We won the Ultimus last season, so that goal is certainly being met. But it is hard sometimes to see others with a higher level of personal success. Toriki has yet to make a pro bowl, and has precious few awards to mark her time in the league. While perhaps slightly undeserving, she has managed to received a running back of the year nomination this year, making it her first award nomination outside of Offensive Rookie of the Year, which she won in 2033.
She's hitting her prime, and I remain hopeful that she will get a cut of the glory someday. But as a fairly competitive person, it can be hard playing second fiddle to the living legend Forrest Gump, who has been the dominant running back in his class for basically his entire career. His success is New Orleans' success, so in no way am I unhappy that he's been able to be such a titan on the field. It just provides some very real comparison, given that both running backs have the same offensive line and quarterback. Given the same resources, the comparison is in certain regards fairer than others. But regardless, I love Marcella Toriki. I love her career journey so far, and I love that she dawns the purple and teal for the New Orleans Second Line. Winning an Ultimus with that team felt spectacular, and I sincerely look forward to winning another with the Second Line before my career is up. I don't really have any hopes of Toriki making it into the league's Hall of Fame at this point, so my big goal is to cement her status in the team Hall of Fame so that her name can live on in some capacity. Adding another ring or two is something else I hope is in the cards. In summation, I'm not unhappy with Marcella Toriki's career thus far. I just hope that she can find a tiny bit more success to push her into a place where I can meet my goal for her.

As a expansion team, the Sarasota Sailfish made it the playoffs on their inaugural year in the league. This is a great feat for an expansion team but unfortunately, they did get eliminated in the first round to the eventual champions, the Colorado Yeti.

Here is a few basic run downs of the Sailfish's strengths and weakness,

The strengths:
Amazing number one running back and an amazing number one wide receiver
Young core in the middle of the defense
Veteran corner backs
A strong defensive end

The weakness:
Regressing safety
Retired young safety
No quarterback

I feel like the Sailfish will make a ton of moves in the draft. They have plenty of draft capital even after the Rose Jenkins trade. But they have younger players signed that they'll look to extend. And this year's free agency class does not look too promising. So most of these moves will be done via draft.

First thing that needs to be addressed and is probably the biggest need is Quarterback. Rose Jenkins, was a great 4 game rental from the Chicago Butchers to push the Sailfish to the playoffs and ultimately it did not result to a championship, and she will be retired after this season. It was great but it's not a good plan for the future. The two quarterbacks on the roster are both IA, which is a bummer since they were both young players. So, where do the Sailfish go from here? I think they should have an active member make the switch to quarterback. It will guarantee that the position will be solidified and stay active. They have plenty of players to choose from. In order to do that, they need to draft that position replacement.

Next position that they need to address is Safety. A team cannot make it far into the playoffs without a strong defense. With Thiath and his unexpected early retirement the Sailfish need to work on the safety position. They have plenty of 1st round picks and later draft capital to find one. There is a lot of good prospects to pick up in the secondary. They should find one there.

Lastly, to be a championship team, the Sailfish need depth. I think they need to add another running back, corner back, defense end, wide receiver and linebacker. These positions are needed to help the team be more versatile. If they could add more liquidity to the roster to try different styles of play. If the Sarasota Sailfish could adapt to it's opponents they could come out on top and win more games.

8) With a plethora of sim leagues available to us today, and with many different sports. I stumbled upon the national simulation football league through the r/NFL post on Reddit. Going into the league, I did not know what to expect, I just knew I liked football a lot and the prospect of a simulation league was interesting. At first, the forum was a little daunting, I haven't used a forum style website in years. So I it was a little difficult to find my away around and get started. But as soon as I joined the discord servers and eventual team servers, everything started to become a little easier with so many people being helpful. Gucci and Kyle for the Dallas Birddogs were extremely helpful in getting us season 22 rookies started and going.

As for fun, there is a huge range of players who made the league much more enjoyable, which include: Gucci, Kyle, Steg, Bayley, Edd, Jordy, Kim, Frost and RainDelay. All these people are super helpful and fun to talk to, so I was looking forward to logging in, talking and hanging out with everyone everyday.

For my player Haha Mango-Panda, he started as a quarter back originally. I didn't know, being a quarter back would take a ton of work but I eventually made the switch to a linebacker. I regret not starting my task earlier, I missed my first Ultimus task and I lagged behind a week but I've been max earning or trying to since. This could have cost me being drafted higher in the NSFL or DSFL draft. But otherwise, I am pretty happy with Haha's start and I hope I can take my first player to the championship.

During the draft, it was a unique experience. In my DSFL draft, I knew that I wasn't going to be drafted high. So I wasn't paying to close attention to what was going on but I was excited to be drafted by the Birddogs. I was in their locker room the most and interacted with both Gucci and Kyle the most. I was glad that I was drafted there, it made my experience a lot more fun. As far as the NSFL draft goes, I was excited and really getting into the league. I wanted to be drafted pretty high because I've been maxing out my earnings. I am also excited to join Sarasota to start to build something great.

For the league, I wish free agency could be reformed and a legal tampering be implemented. Lastly, I would like to see banking rebuilt instead of using the excel sheet.

Quote:7) Selflessness is one thing, but ultimately everyone wants to hear their own player’s name mentioned among the greats. Take some time, in 400 words or more, and discuss how your player’s (or past player’s) career is going so far. Are you matching any expectations you set out for yourself? Do you see yourself on a potentially award winning or Hall of Fame career trajectory? If your player is just starting out, what goals and visions do you have for yourself?

As a Rookie in the NSFL, Matt Cross has performed as expected of him so far. He had a pretty solid season considering he jumped straight into the major league. With 62 tackles, 2 FFs and 1 FR, 3 sacks, 2 interceptions and 4 pass deflections, Cross was able to make some big plays in his first year in Philly. He’s generally happy with the season he had, even though it won’t earn him any awards. While originally Cross wanted to win Defensive Rookie of the Year, he quickly realized that winning an award didn’t matter too much to him as long as he was proud of his own play and helping make a positive difference on his team.
Despite this though, Cross couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed with only having 2 interceptions on the year. While he was ecstatic about forcing 2 fumbles, he had wished he had been able to pick off some more passes because to him, that’s the best thing a safety can do. The 2 interceptions he did record both came week 1 against the Chicago Butchers, and for the next 12 games he wasn’t able to get another one. 12 games is a long time to go without an interception even if he had been putting up other good stats like pass deflections and sacks. Cross’s biggest goal right now is to end this terrible streak by getting an interception. Obviously he’ll have to wait the whole offseason, but Cross knows that he’s improving and hopes that the training he does watching film and practicing catching the ball will help him get more interceptions next season.
The vision Cross has for himself in the future is that of a game changer. He wants to live up to his nickname the “Son of Havoc” and force lots of turnovers throughout his career and be a defender that quarterbacks are afraid to throw near. More than anything though, Cross wants to break Philly’s single season interception record of 7. It was a lofty goal he held last year and obviously didn't accomplish, but it’s one that he’ll continue to chase. He wants his career in Philly to be cemented in history and he knows that getting this record will help him be remembered.
It’s definitely too early to say whether or not this is the beginning of Cross’s Hall of Fame career, but as he continues to improve he hopes that he can make as many plays possible to give himself the best chance to one day get the nod, even if it is way far off in the future.

Quote:8) This task is exclusive to non-recreate rookies of the S22 class and later. In 400 words or more, how has your experience been in the league? Who have you met that has made your time here more fun, friendly, and exciting? Have you been satisfied with your player’s early start? What was it like being drafted for the first time? Do you have any comments or suggestions for the entire league that you think should be implemented?

As a Season 22 rookie, I came in as part of the biggest draft in the history of the league. This was incredibly fun and exciting, and the high spirits that we brought have been great to be a part of. I have really loved every moment in the league so far because the community has been so much fun to be involved and active in and I’ve made some great friends so far through the Norfolk and Liberty locker rooms. It would be impossible for me to name everyone who has made my time here enjoyable, but I would like to give special recognition to my DSFL GM’s Scorp and Juni because they really made Norfolk a wonderful place for rookies to come and play to start their careers. Being in Norfolk for my first year I learned a lot and I think it really shaped my character and values that I have in this league. Even more importantly though, because of the welcoming and friendly environment they had created, I made countless amazing friends. On top of my DSFL GM’s giving me an excellent place for me to start in this league, my fellow season 22 rookies, the large cast of veteran players who came before me, and the rookies who have created after me, have all made my time here enjoyable. I can’t thank those in Norfolk and Philly enough because of this.
Being drafted in the DSFL and NSFL was really exciting. In the DSFL, I had no clue where I would be picked and hearing my name called in the second round with pick 14 was incredible. I had put in a lot of work already and felt like due to my personality I could have been a first round pick, but I knew there were a lot of defensive backs in the draft, and I was afraid that I would drop into the 3rd round or later amongst the huge class. But luckily, Norfolk grabbed me with their 3rd pick in the draft and I haven’t looked back since. It was exciting to have a team that I could be a part of and I loved my time spent in the DSFL. Cross performed quite well that year and I was once again excited now entering the NSFL draft. This time I had a bit of a better idea of where I would go. I had really good conversations with a few teams, and some mediocre conversations with others so it was easier to root out who might grab me, especially since I knew more of what teams were looking for in a user. I was drafted 3OA by the Liberty and I was unbelievably hyped and honored. They had told me about their young team and their need for a revamped secondary, so I was excited that I could be a part of Philly and their great future potential. Now after my first season in Philly, I can say with confidence that this team will soon be the team to beat. I was happy with my performance this year as well, but I’ll be even happier helping take the Liberty to the playoffs. I’m usually really bad at coming up with advice to give about general improvement to things, so instead I’ll just say that my time here so far couldn’t have been any better, and I think the league is in a great spot right now.

Tier 2: Short Form Tasks (400+ words)

7) Selflessness is one thing, but ultimately everyone wants to hear their own player’s name mentioned among the greats.

Dolls had a pretty solid rookie season. It was a respectable season for an OL, pancakes weren't too high but no sacks allowed, and the QB and run game were solid and I believe benefited well from my play. It's a long way from the end of my career, so I can't say for sure how my career might play out. My goal is to be recognized as one of the OL greats though. There has been a resurgence lately of offensive linemen being created, and it's starting to get more recognition around the league. I was nominated to the pro bowl this season, and hopefully by the end of my career I can be considered for the Hall of Fame. The biggest challenge I feel for that to happen is still the stigma around OL, despite how it's decreased of late. Only 1 player is currently inducted in the Hall of Fame who played offensive line, and they were not inducted for their 2 seasons as an OL at the beginning of their career. Hopefully by the time Dolls' career is done, there can be pure OL entered into the Hall of Fame already, and Dolls can join them. When the like of Rubbe retire, that will be telling about how the Hall of Fame committee will consider OL for the Hall. When Dolls reaches that point I don't want to miss out because of my position.

I've had 2 players before Dolls, the unspectacular Luke Smyles, and Sabercats legend Shane Weston. Weston was on the Hall of Fame ballot a long time ago, and received only 1 vote. Weston was a premier wide receiver who spent his entire 12 season career in San Jose, notching over 10,000 receiving yards. Weston was also one of the most dangerous returners in league history, returning over 10,000 yards. One of few players with both 10,000 receiving and returning yards. Weston went to several pro bowls, and had the league not been a mess about tracking/rewarding returners early in the league (there was no returner of the year award until Season 9 - Weston was already in regression by that point). There was also no returner position in the pro bowl until Season 7. Weston was one of the all time bests are returning the football - and still remains near the top to this day - but played in a time where returners were simply not recognized by the league. That really left him with not much hardware, and no one cared enough about San Jose to pay any attention to career numbers. I fully believe Weston should have been a Hall of Famer, and because of the system to stay on the ballot, I never got another shot at it.

Tier 3: Written/Graphics Tasks
Choose up to FOUR for 2.5 TPE each.

10) Create an argument for your own player, or for someone else on your team, as to why they should be nominated for awards. Lay out their stats or compare them to other contenders. Make a convincing argument. Written option available for 200 words or more.

There's not very many categories to look at for an offensive lineman. Pancakes, Sacks Allowed is really it, everything else is seen in the success of your teammates. Byron Dolls has earned a nomination for OLotY, only 45 pancakes is fairly low, but was one of the few human offensive linemen to not give up a sack. There were others with no sacks but more pancakes, but Dolls earned one of the 3 nomination spots. In addition to not giving up a sack, the Baltimore backfield played strongly. Reed led the NSFL in YPC for RBs, and was the best YPC of any position with more than 110 carries. Fujiwara was the only rookie QB in the league this season, and while not a spectacular season, performed better than some others thanks to good offensive line protection. 55% completion was better than Phoenix, Francisco, and Jenkins. Overall all these things combined point to very strong offensive line protection from Byron Dolls. Strong offensive line stats, great protection for a rookie quarterback who put up pretty good numbers, and the most efficient running back in the league. Though it might not be enough to win, I think it's certainly enough to warrant top 3 status for a nomination.

4) It’s down to the final four in both leagues. Choose one playoff team that is not your own from either league and recount how they got here in 400 words or more. What challenges and hurdles did they face in the regular season? Did they cruise into home field advantage or have to fight off contenders for the wild card? Are they led by MVP players on offense, or is a stifling defense the engine to their success? Don’t be afraid to go deep.

I want to take a look at the Minnesota Grey Ducks and how they clinched their playoff berth as number one seed from the NFC. After going 3-1 in the preseason and getting projected at least above the division rivals London Royals and Kansas City Coyotes, the goal of Minnesota clearly was reaching the playoffs. But they didn't have a good start into the season losing their opener in Dallas against the expansion team with 27-15. In the first home game in the year, they defeated division rival Portland 34-13 and had a first really strong showing. The next two weeks came with two tough losses in Kansas City and at home vs Tijuana leading to a disappointing 1-3 start for the team from Minnesota. After those games, they desperately needed to show up and that's exactly what they did. The team won the next game in a shutout against Norfolk 10-0. In week 6, they had to travel to one of the favourite teams to win the Ultimini, Myrtle Beach. But Minneosta got an upset win there, followed by an outstanding performance in London, where they won 37-7 against their division rival. They also won their fourth game in a row at home against Dallas in week 8 which put them at 5-3 and in a great spot to make the postseason. After losing in a close game in Portland, Minnesota got their revenge on Kansas City for the loss earlier in the season by wrecking the Coyotes 48-3 in another great game for the team. In week 11 and 12, they had two away games in Tijuana and Norfolk. Unfortunately, they lost with 3 points difference the first of those games, but in Norfolk they got another victory securing the lead in their division. After losing against the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers in Minnessota, the team hosted London for the final regular season game, where Minnesota once again defeated the English team decisively locking in the number 1 spot with London clinching the second playoff berth in the NFC. Therefore Minneosta had homefield advantage in their championship game against the London Royals, who they already defeated in both games very convincingly. They were surely the favourites to go into that game. If they won that game, they played in Tijuana or at home against Norfolk depending on the outcome of the other championship game. Overall, I think Minnesota was in a great position to make and possibly win the Ultimini after the regular season with having the best defense and second best offense in the league with MVP caliber players like SnowBow, Lackson or Hood. (436 words)

7) Selflessness is one thing, but ultimately everyone wants to hear their own player’s name mentioned among the greats.

My player, Wide Receiver Nick Kaepercolin, already had lots of ups and downs in his short carreer in the NSFL. After declaring late for the S21 DSFL draft he wasn't picked by any team and landed on the waiver list. The London Royals finally claimed him after their first few games and gave him the chance he deserved. Kaepercolin instantly became WR2 behind Susan Cash Jr. and in his first game in the league, he scored a touchdown with his first catch ever. That was a great feeling and the best possible start for a young player. In the following weeks, he played well and contributed to a 5-9 record for the team with 30 receptions for 368 yards and 3 touchdowns in his first season. He also set two franchise records for the expansion team. First, he had the longest reception in the London Royal's Franchise history with 43 yards. He also scored the most receiving TDs in the season and therefore in the history of the Royals with 3 TDs. After steadily improving, he headed into the draft confident to get picked in the first six rounds. And he was right, he got drafted by the Baltimore Hawks in the fifth round and therefore he was even drafted before London's WR1 Cash Jr.
In the next season, Kaepercolin and the Royals in general started very strong with a 4-1 record and Kaepercolin becoming WR1 for the English team and also leading the league in receiving yards after the first few weeks. After playing through some small injuries, he couldn't put up those big stats anymore, which lead to London losing 5 games in a row and Kaepercolin falling behind in the race for WROTY. In the second half of the season and in the playoffs, he didn't have that much impact and was not content with his performance. He was on the way to be a real contender for WROTY and maybe OPOTY or even MVP, but after the second half, he honestly shouldn't be win one of those awards. Overall, he played a good season finishing with 62 receptions for 797 yards and 5 TDs, nearly doubling his stats from the previous season. While he probably won't win any awards this year, I'm really looking forward to the next few years playing for the Hawks and I really hope he'll have some great seasons there and he'll win awards and have a HOF career there. He just needs to get more consistent. (415 words)

(S22) - Ultimus Week - Wombat - 05-31-2020

Task 6:

So for this point task in the Ultimus Week i will be writing a tier two short form task in which you have to write four hundred words. Now a tier two short form task is in between a tier one short form task and a tier three short form task, as many people may know. Four hundred words is a lot and is between three hundred and ninety nine words and three hundred and ninety nine as not many people may know is also seven times fifty seven and four hundred and one which may or may not be a prime number but i am kind of lazy and will not look at it. Anyways luckily i have to write four hundred words on the NSFL which stands for the national simulation football league, which if you do not know is a national, which means it relates to a nation or country, simulation, which means it is not real but it is real in my heart football league which is not the kind of football which you use your foot which used to confuse me but now i am an American football fan which is the proper term really and it makes sense and in this league you can make your own american football professional player who will play a position and get gud. In the national simulation football league i made a running back Ed Barker but it turned out he was not good at running past people so the New Orleans Second Line who are also known as NOLA (DOOT DOOT DOOT DOOT DOOT) told him that he was very stinky and would have to move to the wide receiver position and at first barker was confused were they calling him wide or not and was that a compliment but it was actually a position where he would catch balls and run and he was okay ish at it not doing so well but not so bad because see when he created every one told him that he was poopoo and would not do well and that he could not run with balls but who needs to run when your catching things i guess but ed barker still has trouble catching things. He expected to be poop, not the nice solid kind but the stinky one and its been pretty okay because he probably wont win any awards but like he hasnt been so bad that they would yeet him out of building so DOOT DOOT DOOT.

Code:

Task 14:

So i will be making a scouting report for the legendary offensive lineman that is Dick Thruster. He is the best offensive lineman to every exist and will be a hall of famer one day and will be the stronkest and biggest man on the field every game not to mention to be the biggest dick thruster, as it is in his name so he has to be the best at it i would think like i would not name someone speedy boi if they were slow it would just not make any sense and this might not make sense but it makes sense to me and thats the only that matters right.

Name: Dick Thruster
Scouting Notes: very professional and very accurate. Kudos to this man’s parents for naming him properly. Commentators and GMs will enjoy saying this name very much. Verdict: 10/10

Talent: not much
Scouting Notes: he is the stronkest man on the field every game and the biggest dick thruster but not much else. Verdict: 0/10

Personality: he is okay like maybe a little but not much and he is a meany and stinky but max is very nice almost as good as lucy. Verdict: 0/10 -- Verdict with Max: 6.9/10

Overall this man should be drafted 1OA and NOLA (DOOT DOOT DOOT DOOT DOOT) should draft him plz and thank you even if you arent drafting 1OA.
