Let's start with Mai Fukushu. She's a huge anime fan and for some reason she's got this big ass dog or beast or something chilling with her at all times. She doesn't talk much. She scares me. We like to discuss anime sometimes but she usually just replies in grunts? Not really sure what her deal is. Secondly we got Videl-San. She's pretty cool actually. She's from the Dragonball Z universe and is pretty dope soap. She's also good at football. Korbin Brown comes next. Despite his Greek god exterior, he's a huge weeb. When he was a kid, he used to watch anime with his father, Marquise Brown, who subsequently is also a big anime fan. I mean, what else is there to hate? Portland has a fantastic locker room and is super fun to be a part in. We also like to talk about food, we have some food connoisseurs on the roster in addition. So in total, we've got weebs, foodies, and cool guys here in Portland. Come on down to Portland today for some fun and we'll get you set up and ready to go! 202 Words (S23) - PT1 - With a Little Help From My Friends - Highhaschdi - 06-19-2020 My team, the Baltimore Hawks, had a very disappointing last season finishing with a 3-10 record and having the second overall pick in the NSFL draft. So, we are definitely looking to improve our record this year. With lots of young talented players at both sides of the ball that had a year to develop, I'm confident that the Hawks will finish with a far better record than last season. Lots of players learned the difference between the DSFL and NSFL in a hard way, but they are now ready to compete with the best football players in the league. Additionally, there were some call-ups from the two latest drafts that will help to get Baltimore some wins. So, the goal is definitely to win more games than last season and we're hoping to make the playoffs in a division that seems to have the Yellowknife Wraiths and Colorado Yeti on top with the other teams pushing for the third and final playoff berth. I think it will be a close race between Sarasota, Philadelphia and us with hopefully us clinching that spot. Especially the division games against those both opponents will be a deciding factor for this. With the NSFL expanding to 16 games and therefore playing your division rivals two times a season, it would be great to clean sweep at least one of those two teams. (229 words) (S23) - PT1 - With a Little Help From My Friends - MrStennett - 06-19-2020 The London Royals are stacked this season, and it's absolutely Ultimini or bust for us. We have capped players all over on both sides of the ball, including the better of our quarterback tandem, Colby Jack. Forget about that Charlemagne Cortez guy. He's a total bum. Anyways, let's take a look at this Royals defense. The anchor point of this team is definitely the secondary. We're stacked in absolutely every single position. The safety spots are held down by Bob Bob and number one overall NSFL draft pick, Greedy Sly. The cornerback spots also boast two capped players in Mikel van Perkins and Lesean Paris Crooks. On the offensive side of the ball, besides Jack, we also have bell cow running back Danny King and top wide receiver Susan Cash, Jr. at the cap. Hell. Even our kicker, Datsum PhastBawls is capped out. All in all, this is a roster that is built not just to be competitive now, but really is looking to go all the way this season. There is no time like the present when half of your roster is at or near the TPE cap. You know the sim gonna sim and you never can tell what is going to happen, but don't bet against the London Royals this season. Code: 214 words (S23) - PT1 - With a Little Help From My Friends - JuOSu - 06-19-2020 I really think that New Orleans Second Line should be a playoff team again this season. We have a really good young roster that is constantly improving and hopefully that will lead to us doing really well and having a good season. Once we are in the playoffs, you never really know how it can and will go and it will be great to just compete. Our roster is pretty excellent. We have me at quarterback in the lsat season, trying for a last hurrah. At running back we have Marcella Toriki and Forrest Gump, still both excellent amazing players. At wide receiver we have Ed Barker mainly and a rookie. We also got the best tight end in the game in Austin McCormick. Our defense might be even better than our offense, with amazing guys all over the field. We have really great guys on there including David Rector, Mason Blaylock and Quenton Bode. All of these and more will try to keep opposing teams to a minimum points scored and hopefully that will end up doing really well. I think in the end, this season ought to be really good for New Orleans and I think we have a great chance to be a playoff team and hopefully we can even do a championship in my last season. (S23) - PT1 - With a Little Help From My Friends - CementHands - 06-19-2020 SHL PT (S23) - PT1 - With a Little Help From My Friends - enigmatic - 06-19-2020 The Dallas Birddogs are cursed by great drafting. It might sound weird to say so but the fact that they keep drafting top earners means that every season, they lose much of their roster to the NSFL. Still, it's a double-edged sword. Great drafting is not a one season deal and they're always able to find players to replace the ones that leave. Not just during the draft either but with good waiver claims as well. That's why I'm pretty optimistic about this season but I also take everything with a grain of salt. I think we have everything we need to make it to the playoffs but we might run out of gas in the end. Our week 1 performance showed that we have what it takes to challenge even the best teams. We have a rookie quarterback but he's able to make the important plays when it counts. We have great receivers and ever improving running backs. Our defense limited the Luchadores to 12 points in our first game and they're also growing as players really quickly. We have some of the best general managers in the DSFL too so I trust their decisions regarding strategies and plays will lead us to many victories. (S23) - PT1 - With a Little Help From My Friends - Birdman - 06-19-2020 It can be difficult to assess how your team will do as a new player to the league. I’m coming off of a championship season as a free agent pick up for the Tijuana Luchadores. It was a great experience to start my career, I had some decent playoff performances including a key sack to help secure the win. It will be hard to live up to that expectation, but I’m really excited to have been selected by a new team that wanted to take a shot at me. The Kansas City Coyotes are poised for a strong year after a down year last season. KCC finished last season at 5-9 and at the bottom of the DSFL NFC North. With a strong rookie class, including myself, we are looking to turn heads this year and make a run at the Ultimini. We just finished up our first game of the season and pulled out the W against a tough London Royals team. Our offense did well to move the ball down the field, but we did have some issues finishing drives with four field goals and only one touchdown. We are led by Reginald Covington III (@PDXBaller @) at QB and he is poised to have a really strong season. I don’t think he quite had the game he wanted, but we have faith in him to continue improving and honing his game. Of course he is helped out by Kevin Fakon (@Toastydata) our workhorse RB who took 35 carries to wear down the Royals D. Watch out for rookie budding star Sergio Kitchens (@WannabeFinn) to start taking some of that workload as he has been impressive early on. On the D side of the ball, we are strong up the middle with big butt D Tackle run stuffer, block eater, QB terrorizer LeBong Simwell (that’s me). I don’t expect to show up on the stat sheet a ton as I demand attention from two blockers and free up my linebackers to fly downhill at anyone who dares run up the middle, but I’ve done well so far in also chipping in on the pass rush with 1 sack. Other guys to watch out for the D side are rookie LB Brach Thomaslacher (@RDBSouthPaw@), CBs Jason Young (@A Duck On Quack) and James Pazos (@Snussu), and all around safety stud Mac Griddle (@mcgriddleluver). I'm still new to the team and I'm sure I left out some really great players here as well. (S23) - PT1 - With a Little Help From My Friends - TheDangaZone - 06-19-2020 SHL PT (S23) - PT1 - With a Little Help From My Friends - PMoney - 06-19-2020 Season 22 finished in disappointing fashion for Yellowknife. The regular season champions and many people’s favourites to finally win the Ultimus, but we fell at the first hurdle. This year we will right that wrong and push on to win it all. The team has been in an excellent window recently with a stacked offence and defence. The defence is full of strong veterans teaching some up and coming stars the ropes. Nero Alexander has been a colossus at DE since he joined the team, and the team really wants to get him a ring before regression sets in too hard. While the loss of all-time great Safety Danny Grithead is a tough loss, Magnus Valdyr will step into his shoes aptly and is my personal pick for Defensive Rookie of the year. Yellowknife nearly swept the awards last season so it’s hard to go up from there but Valdyr should be in with a good chance. On the other side of the ball, we added star WR Action Jackson to an already great receiving corp. While Nate Swift and Cooter Bigsby both are starting to show their age, a win would cap incredible careers for both. That means there’s only 1 goal for us this season, winning. While that seems obvious, the experienced talent on the team all deserve to finish with a victory to show for all of the nearly moments in the past few seasons. While the upcoming talent will continue to shine for years to come, playoff success is a must to ensure the veterans get the respect they deserve. |
