Between his superstar play and his humble potato farming offseason antics, marketing departments around the world love him. However recently he just signed his biggest deal yet, with the Bank of Canada. Being an upcoming player from the only Canadian team in the league and with the potential his name has for Money related puns, it was a no brainer for the bank. For Money himself, the absolute boatload of money he got in return made posing for some pictures for adverts a great deal. Billboards across Canada will be covered in adverts with cheesy slogans like ‘Make your Money work for you!’ and ‘Get Money in your pocket, as well as on your TV’. As part of his contract he is also given a $5,000 stack whenever he gets a sack that he can throw out to the crowd as more advertising and to give back to the fans. Sadly, this season Covid has stopped fans being able to attend games and he has also lacked sacks, but both sides think it will pay off eventually. While this is just a new deal at the start of the 25th season in the ISFL, the Bank have agreed to continue to sponsor the throwing money to the crowd for the rest of Patrik Money’s career. A lot of people label them as selling out or willing to put there name on just about any product. While this criticism is certainly legitimate for various athletes, it certainly is a blanket statement that doesn't always ring true. Mason Blaylock has had his fair share of advertisement deals over the years, but only ones for products he would genuinely use. Some people have made comments about his Subway ads, but he genuinely eats there at least once a week. More recently, ISFL fans have probably seen Mason grace commercials for REI. For that that aren't aware, Blaylock is a huge outdoorsman. During the offseason, he frequents his cabin up in northern Wisconsin. It's peaceful and often times a great way to unplug from technology. REI is a store that Mason fully endorses in more than just commercial appearances, having a large inventory of products from the popular outdoor supplier. A lot of their products are purely about functionality and not looks, which is something that drew Mason to them right away. That's always been the story of his game, functionality over flash. A lot of players care more about appearance and perception than results. That's why the All-pro Safety for New Orleans was the perfect brand ambassador for REI. The quality speaks for itself. RE: (S25) - PT 2 - Endorsement Money - Mooty99 - 10-16-2020 Many people have come to Jackie asking him to endorse a product but I have had to turn a large number of them down, I mean who has ever heard of a thing call "sneakers" and I can't do food and drink as they need me to actually consume it and I am, errrrr allergic to many human, I mean normal food. With this in mind I decided to endorse a few products. 1st is and excellent hat company, I myself am very fond of hats, although the team have banned me from wearing my favourite witch skinned hat as last time I wore it our long snapper spontaneously combusted after trying it on. My darling wife told them it had a big rudy curse on it. Luckily this sponsorship means that a number of replicas have been made of my favourite hat for all my adoring fans to buy, they are so very lucky and hopefully they can enjoy the look even if they can feel the, errr special part that you get in the real thing that you can feel on the back of your neck. Of course I kept the real thing under lock and key, I don't want Simon the Devious trying to steal it for a 3rd time! WC 213 RE: (S25) - PT 2 - Endorsement Money - Attopax - 10-16-2020 Asher has never really been a "name brand" guy. He didn't take his first contract and go buy designer clothes or Rolex watches. But, there is one brand his loves. Oakley. Sports attire is something that he pretty much lives in given he is a professional athlete, and the sunglasses and multi-sport attire definitely is what attracted him to the deal. He may have only recently got the deal, but he has wanted it his entire life, and he was lucky enough to be a high enough draft pick in order to attract the Oakley executives' attention to target him. Given that Asher was the second overall pick in the ISFL and first in the DSFL, it is likely that it would be a multi-year deal with a termination clause in case Asher were to not live up to his draft position. The terms would be simple: Asher will promote your brand so long as he gets some cash + free merch! Asher would appear in everything from billboards to commercials. Asher enjoys hiking and skiing, so he would represent Oakley on any sports stage. Oakley would likely throw in a clause that Asher be featured wearing Oakley sports products whenever permissible by league/team rules during league/team activities. He would gladly accept that deal because chances are he'd be wearing them anyway! So, Asher would promote any of their products, but would probably feature sports attire the most (and sunglasses I guess). Code: 243 Words RE: (S25) - PT 2 - Endorsement Money - Jonny2x - 10-16-2020 Sam Torenson landed the endorsement of his dreams. What better way to make his parents proud than to buy into their 4th generation farming family and endorse none other than John Deere tractors? The terms of the deal are pretty basic for an international company and a superstar running back. Sam did request a couple of things specifically though. First off the terms of the agreement in addition to the yearly endorsement salary include his parents being given the newest model of John Deere every single year right off the production line. The year old tractor cannot be sold but must be given to anyone of his parents’ choice, free of charge. Secondly, Sam has requested that every single year 50 tractors are sent to his country of choice and given to farmers in a region decided upon by himself and his family. John Deere will cover the shipping cost as well as the cost of the 50 tractors. They don’t need to be the newest model but they do need to be certified one owner and shipped from John Deere headquarters directly. Sam was ecstatic to enter into this partnership and has agreed to promote John Deere for 10 years after his retirement, the last five of which are free of a personal salary but his two stipulations remain intact. You see under normal circumstances the heaviest chicken breed gets to be about fifteen pounds before preparation, but the Mega Chicken grows to be over twenty pounds like a turkey. The exact methodology used to create the Mega Chicken is a closely guarded secret and the amount of fine print on the advertisement takes up three separate pages, however it does show Magnus eating a Mega Chicken with no editing involved. The terms involved more non-disclosure agreements than standard as his amazing agent would tell you, and honestly it was more akin to being sworn to secrecy on punishment of death. On the down low it is believed that the absurdly high payments to Magnus are actually just a means of money laundering for his agent to clean up some of their hundreds of millions of dollars. Although there is no evidence in support of that fact other than Magnus being paid more for this endeavor than any other Arkansas Fried Chicken endorsement in their history. By almost an order of magnitude despite being a nose tackle. The primary advertisement for the campaign is just to get people used to the sheer absurdity of the Mega Chicken and used to seeing someone eat it. This works out well as Magnus being 6'5” and over three hundred pounds makes the Mega Chicken look more normal in comparison. Before digging in he explains that just like humans have some freakish outliers like him that chickens can have a freakish outlier like the Mega Chicken. Arkansas Fried Chicken just figured out how to mass produce them thanks to their latest scientific breakthrough. He is also appearing in a few more comedic advertisements based on the implication that if you eat the Mega Chicken as a child that you too can grow up to be as big and strong as Magnus Rikiya. This deal only came about in the last few months as Arkansas Fried Chicken was trying to figure out a way to market a chicken that is approximately twice the size of any other chicken on the market. Also about ten times the size of the average rotisserie chicken. A connection between one of Arkansas Fried Chicken's board of directors and Agent Tesla though allowed them to come to an arrangement that would see Magnus normalize the size of the Mega Chicken. Although only after their initial attempt to get a famed comedian on board failed as the comedian said something about Mega Chicken sounding like a sign of the apocalypse. In closing the Mega Chicken is perfectly safe for human consumption and is just a large mutant chicken like Magnus Rikiya is a large mutant human. Code: Word Count: 474 |
