Through 10 games in the year, Cross has actually put up some decent stats. 3 picks and 8 PD’s is pretty much what I’ve been averaging each year, and considering that I regressed below being maxed out in all my stats this year, I'm kind of surprised that I've kept up with at least my prior performances. Barely above 1k TPE, I'm glad that my presence out on the field can still be felt in games and I've been doing my best to earn all the TPE I can so that I can continue to be of help to the team in future seasons. However, a big goal of mine that I wish I could do more to improve upon is my sack numbers. I have no sacks this year so far, and last season I only finished with a single sack! Cross used to be so good at getting behind the line on blitzing plays and reaching the QB, but now, I'm not sure if it's just because of age, or if QB's in the league are just getting better and better, but Cross can't get a sack to save his career. I don't want to be too pessimistic when I know this prompt is meant to be about improvement, but really I don't see any specific way I can help besides just to keep earning (and maybe actually updating too lol). But realistically I might ask coach to put me out there on more blitzing plays so I can get back to the 3-4 sacks per year that I used to average.

Like all other players in the International Simulation Football league there are many aspects of our game that we would like to see improvement to. I will start off by saying that I am most proud of not having an allowed sack yet as an Offensive linemen, although I may have just jinxed that *knock on wood* As Stumpy finishes knocking on his stump, he responds by saying one aspect of his game that he would like to see improvement to is increasing his pancake output. Stumpy is a generous fella and wants to make sure everybody on the field is served plenty of pancakes that are from Stumpy. Stumpy has noticed that he has hit a bit of a mean streak, racknig up penalties left and right in the past few games. Stumpy was suggested to get a stress ball to hold to help him keep his cool. Other trainers have suggested doing yoga but Stumpy is not that flexible in his ways and likes to keep to his routine of making pancakes. One explanation for Stumpy’s mean streak is seeing many of his brotherin fall to forest fires but knows that this is a natural thing that will bring plenty of regrowth and a new wave of youth. But that still does not stop Stumpy from grieving the loss of his friends. Hopefully the rains will come because the path of inaction that Stumpy has chosen does not do a good job of working on himself to reduce his penalties and instead prefers to help others.

Playing as the third linebacker on a stacked defensive squad, Ernest Lover was never one for chasing stats. He’s happiest when the team wins, especially when the defense makes the job of the offense that much easier by playing as a team. So half-way through the season, he’s optimistic about the prospects of the Sarasota Sailfish making yet another playoff. While there have been some tough losses, Ernest has come up with some big plays on the field. If he could improve upon one thing this season, it would be his consistency. Ernest has nights where he shines and others where his supporting role is practically non-existent, with only a few tackles on non-critical downs. Ernest thinks he can improve his consistency by watching more tape of opponents and learning the different offensive strategies that catch him off guard. He has been so focused on working with his own team’s playbook, it’s high time that he look outward rather than inward during film study. This means finding his place in both the run defense and the pass defense and knowing how to read the formations of the opponent to know whether to come up in run support or drop back in coverage. But he is sure that studying up along with the other linebackers on the team, Heinrich Kackpoo and Michael Witheblock, will make a difference before the season is over.

My season as a rookie kicker in the dsfl has been near expectations so far. I started as a fresh rookie, just getting my feet wet as a professional kicker after a college career mostly as a wide receiver. I have nailed all 22 of my extra points but have a 70% field goal percentage to start the season. The Buccs are 3-4 starting off which is great considering how bad we were the last few years but even with a few big wins, I have one of the lowest field goal attempts in the league. I have booted 10 field goals knocking down 7 with my longest from 50. There are two kickers with linger field goals and I want the sim to bless me with a mighty bomb of a kick. One of 55+ would be great. There hasn't been a kicker since Baxter Frost to kick a field goal that far in a beach jersey and I'd love to go after his record. So far I've been automatic from 30 and 40 but 1 for 2 from 50+  I'd love to get that number up to show the ISFL teams that I'm the real deal and can knock down the biggest kicks in the biggest moments.

So far this season, Wide Receiver Tugg Speedman of the New York Silverbacks has had a very good first half. Ranking top three at wide receiver in yards and catches, I am very happy with my production at this point in the season. Being a number one option for the first time since getting called up from the Developmental Simulation Football League is so exciting but it also brings some lofty goals. I think one area that I have certainly struggled with in my career is catching touchdowns. It is just one of those things that the sim gods do not want to give me. The last few weeks (three to be exact)  I believe I have caught 4 touchdowns which has brought my total to five which I can't really complain about. I am very happy with that but would absolutely love to double that by the end of the season. It's a big ask but you never know. I also would love to see Tugg eclipse 115 catches by the end of the season and hit 1,500 yards as well. I think in order to do that I just continue to max earn and hope for the best since about all of my attributes are maxed at this point, there is not much else for me to do except hope the sim does not screw me over.

Well, it is the halfway point of the ISFL season and Big Slammu is having yet another season that has been subpar. He was hoping to be challenging for awards and defensive recognition, but he is yet again, a fairly mediocre player. This is quite unfortunate as Big Slammu's motivation on the field is dipping, as his productivity, no matter what he tries, is just no catching any eyes. This is his 4th season in the pros and things just aren't shaping up in this league as he hoped. He has off the field ventures that are constantly drawing him and those ventures are having a stronger and stronger pull as the season goes on. Street Sharks is now in discussion of making a movie, and Big Slammu immediately agreed to act in it, despite it cutting into his offseason training for next year. Rumours are circling that Big Slammu is slowly drawing away from the game but Big Slammu is insisting his interest is the same, but he's always been clear in his desire to continue his acting career. With all the turmoil surrounding the speculations of Big Slammu's passion for football, Yellowknife has reportedly put him on the trade block. It remains to be seen if any ISFL team has any interest in bringing in the Street Shark with a troubled past.

So one area of the new sim I haven't paid as much attention to as I could is definitely defensive line stats. Thats funny to write because the Silverbacks consistently have had one of the best defensive lines in the league since we swapped to the new sim - so much so that we've been able to secure some great players (KKM/gucci for example) in trades because we can promise them consistent stats. I've typically just kept our blitz rates at the maximum allowed and kept defensive line focus on pass rush and let them feast. We run a 4-3 and its always ended up with our defensive ends racking up sacks near the league lead. This year, however, our defensive line play has impacted me personally since I swapped to defensive tackle for this season. Mendoza hasn't been bad as a defensive tackle - he's putting up a strong case for the best DT at producing sacks in the league, however his tackles for a loss aren't keeping pace which will probably cost him a shot at the defensive tackle of the year award. Honky Tonk Haywood puts up a solid combination of sacks and tackles for loss and will probably bring home the award because Mendoza seemingly can't get in the backfield on any play but a pass play.

Omni Man is currently performing as one of, if not the best linebacker so far this season in the DSFL. Leading the league in sacks, along with an interception, he has been flying all around the field. Forcing sacks and playing pretty good defense, he has also achieved almost the highest possible speed. There are very few weaknesses to his game right now, but the obvious one is definitely his lack of forced fumbles. Omni Man is an every down linebacker, but unless the ball is thrown into his hands, don't expect him to force many turnovers. In his current role, he is playing up to his expectations, and has helped the Luchadores get off to a positive record. For the linebacker position, the two most important stats are tackles, and sacks. Omni Man is in the upper echelons of tackles, having above the league average of tackles, but is at the very top of the sack totals list. Unfortunately, the biggest shortcomings of Omni Man is his inability to force turnovers, hampering his team's ability to obtain good field position for their offense. With an improvement to his competitiveness stat though, Omni Man could very quickly turn around the notion that he can't force fumbles. With the addition of turnover capability, Omni Man may just become the DSFL's best linebacker.

This season have proved to be extremely different than any previous season for our dear Badger friend, Chunt. Most seasons he was gearing up to catch passes to run for touchdowns, this season he is playing the exact opposite of that. Switching from Wide Receiver to Cornerback has been a difficult transition. Not only is Chunt grappling with the fact that he is not putting up the stats he used to, but he is still learning to play the position. Maybe he should have switched before this season. Move over, Chunt is convinced the sim gods are disappointed in him. He is convinced he needs to perform some sort of offering or sacrifice to them in order to be good. Needless to say, Chunt is going crazy this season. The main thing Chunt is trying to obtain is an interception and touchdown or two. He misses scoring points desperately and it was part of the reason he switched to CB: to both tackle and score. The only things he can think of to do is sacrifice his morals and to sleep with New York Silverbacks player, Colt Mendoza, in order to be able to shift into his body, letting him become the CB the Baltimore Hawks deserve.

Gary Goodman started out of the gates of his career with a flash amassing a lot of tackles and sacks to boot. Goodman was nominated for Defensive Breakout Player of the Year in S28 but didn’t take home the hardware. S29 saw quite a downturn in both the tackles and sacks categories for Goodman. He worked hard in the offseason to set himself up for a bounce back year in S30. He wanted to wreck opposing offenses and while his numbers have improved it still isn’t at it’s peak of S28.

Goodman is ready to take his game to the ultimate level in the offseason prior to S31. He’s got a new personal trainer who has him on a strict workout schedule to try and up his speed to get to opposing Quarterbacks faster. He’s on a new diet regime to help keep the fat off but build up muscle. His body is becoming a fine tuned machine.

Outside of all that though he is studying tape like a mad man. He’s in the film room everyday watching the previous week’s game tape. He’s looking at all of his shortcomings and is ready to improve his mentality and not let anything get in his way.

He is ready to dominate.
