If the NSFL stopped being active, this would be a very sad day indeed. Not just for myself, but for the community as a whole. Personally, I think the NSFL is a safe haven in these tought times and it would be a shame to see that go. It would result in a lot of boredom for people. All that said, the health and safety of everyone always has to come first, and I would want to do my utmost to help those in need.

If I had to spend more time away from actively playing in the league, I would likely try and do even more to increase some of the tools and platforms. Maybe tackle things like a much needed forum migration, further enhance the wiki and TPE tracker.

Overall, I hope we can remain active, safe, healthy and engaged together and have a fantastic season finale. The upcoming draft will be particularly exciting, given the huge draft class entering the NSFL. I am looking forward to being drafted and hope it will not be postponed. My thoughts go out to anyone currently affected, and wish you the best on the road to recovery/overcoming any challenges. I am sure that as a community we can rally and keep things going.

If NSFL followed the rest of the country and suspended play, not much would change for Hank Steel. Hank grew up on a cattle ranch in rural North Dakota where the nearest gas station was a 40 minute drive over dirt roads. In that part of the country, social distancing has a completely different meaning. The second the NSFL stopped operation, Hank would have plenty of options: stay in his place in Portland where he can order all the delivery he wants or take his truck back to see his family in North Dakota. Staying in Portland is particularly attractive as Chipotle has just announced that they do delivery, which is every man’s dream come true. However, Portland has a lot more people around and therefore more coronavirus, so making the drive back to his hometown probably would end up being the choice. Growing up, his family was pretty big, having 6 brothers and 3 sisters whom all have since moved away leaving their father on the farm. Since the cattle cannot get coronavirus and the mailman only comes twice a month the virus has no where to spread. The biggest concern would probably be catching another, deadlier disease on the ranch due from all the critters living in the cow pasture.

Quarantine sure is a scary word. The idea of having to be 6 feet away from your friends and teammates is tough to wrap your head around. Thankfully, for "Baby" Yoda, due to his short height, he's practically 6 feet away from his teammates at all times, anyway. Jokes, aside, though, this is a seriously issue and safety comes first, but there are benefits to these unusual circumstances. For starters, most fast food restaurants are offering free delivery, so Yoda can have his favorite chicken nuggets delivered to him without having to leave the house. Exercising without being able to go outside has proven difficult, so Yoda's coaches have advised him to watch his diet, but as of now, all he's done so far is watch a bunch of chicken nuggets go in his mouth.

Free delivery and delicious fried food aside, though, Yoda is a very social creature. Many assume him to be an introvert just because he rarely talks, but he actually enjoys the company of others; it's just talking that he doesn't like! He also enjoys being able to run around on the field and practice moves to help him get better at football, so he can furfill his dream of playing in the NSFL one day. However, in the meantime, he's picked up the latest copy of Madden to help practice his moves on-screen. He's learned a lot so far, but the people he meets online sure seem to be mean. Maybe this scary quarantine is making everyone into a meanie. Either way, Yoda hopes it's over soon so he can see all of his friends again.

If the NSFL was to decide that suspending the season was the best option for the health of the players, coaches, office staff, and fans, then there would be a lot of sad individuals looking wistfully at empty stadiums around the world. I suppose we as the players would have to be responsible to keep ourselves in tip-top condition just in case the season was to re-open suddenly. Since I’m in Myrtle Beach, I suppose I could run on the beach to work on my stamina and strength. Both of which are lacking at this moment. As a team we could try to help the community by grocery shopping for vulnerable locals who would be ill advised to go out into the public. Or allowing those who do not have a shelter to live in, to use the stadium as a place to be safe and clean. I personally would feel very disappointed that my rookie season was cut short but for the sake of my community who supports this team, I would do whatever I could minimize the spread of this potentially catastrophic disease. Looking long term, I hope this will just be a very short asterisk in my very long and prolific stat column.

If the league was cancelled in all honesty I'd probably be doing the exact same thing I have been doing. One of my projects recently has been evaluating the efficiency of various attributes for the different positional groups. Essentially, how good is "strength" on a cornerback and how high does it remain efficient to raise it. This is a pretty lengthy project for each position group and I've only really tested one attribute - intelligence on offensive linemen. If the season was cancelled it would give me more time to complete the studies and help my team know the efficient ways to allocate TPE. Considering I just ran 50,400 simulations for cornerbacks and accidentally wiped 53 of the 106 excel files I needed the extra time would give me time to completely redo what was around two days worth of nothing but pressing the simulation button.

My player would probably be frustrated by the league suspending, however. Dallas is making a strong push for the playoffs and has two big games on the road this upcoming week against Kansas City and Myrtle Beach. A win against either would go a long way to helping us secure a playoff spot, an outcome that would be quite a feat for an expansion team in the DSFL with no send-downs.

If the NSFL suspended the season I would for one be extremely upset since I haven't had much time to be here and am still experiencing it. Although, if the league had truly suspended I would be talking with my team, trying to still keep connected, playing CaH (cards against humanity) if they wanted, or generally just gaming together and having a great time! I would want my teammates and coaches (GM's) to know that I vastly appreciate them and that I love being around them even if it doesn't seem it, I'm not much of a socially interactive person all the time but when I am I try to be the best I can be, and as supportive as possible! I would want to try my hardest to help with positivity around the locker room and overall just be the best teammate I can be for my team! Another thing I'd highly enjoy doing with the team would be sharing memes along with another, memes are the best cure for just about anything!! Creating memes from someone's errors is fun as well, out of the love in our hearts of course!! Jackbox games would be another great addition to the fun as well! I want my teammates to have the best time possible and I would love to be a part of that reason!
