RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - QuirkyTurtle - 09-04-2020 Reflect on Eddie Jeeta’s career thus far. Hmm. Well entering the DSFL compared to the ISFL were incredibly different. I was new to the league and had just tuned in to the S21 NSFL Draft. I saw my mock PT get shredded from knowing nothing about the players that were being selected. I decided to start earning TPE and money every way I could and making myself really known in the discords. Then the S21 DSFL came along and I had no clue where I’d be taken. It was such a huge class and a lot of strong players. To my surprise I was selected 13th overall and was instantly placed into the WR1 role for the Coyotes. This had never happened to me before. Not in High School, not in college. WR1 was earned. So that was a lot of fun. Then the S22 NSFL Draft came along. I was max earning. Many had me placed as the top wide receiver in the draft and a potential 1st round selection. This did not happen. While I was the first WR taken in the draft, it wasn’t until the 3rd round. I enter a well established team in the Austin Copperheads. I slotted in behind WR1 Rod Tidwell and WR2 Net Gaines. My journey to WR1 had to be earned. I was almost a send down. But instead I spend 2 season at WR3 just continuing to train and prove myself. Barely amassing 600 yards in both seasons. This last season I stepped into the WR2 position and next season should see me enter the WR1 role. Words: 267 RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - Peterson - 09-04-2020 Peterson, First QB Taken off the Board in the DSFL 24 Draft had high expectations going into his Rookie Season as a QB, Sitting behind Snowy the majority of the season really put the life of a QB into perspective. Between having to suffer with a max of 3 plays a game which were generally awful. In week six Peterson was given the chance to impress against Myrtle Beach and came up short with a dismal 6/13 passes for only 34 yards and an average of 5.7 yds a pass. Then a week later with playoff hopes slowly diminishing Peterson was given the chance to start against the London Royals, The game seemed to click and things became clear to him, boasting a 7/13 pass completion ratio at 79 yards and 11.3 average Yards a game, Peterson Started Strong striking hard with his first Career Touchdown to Killian Chambers another Rookie out of S24 Draft Class, Peterson delivered his and Chambers First Career Touchdowns in a single play, He would later finish the game falling short to the Royals to a score of 24-15. In Week 10 Peterson takes the lead on Field again, hitting the Pythons in the Air 13/16 times for 108 yards and another touchdown, Finishing that game boasting a strong 115.1 passer rating. While He still has hope to increase his Touchdown record Peterson still looks back in comfort with being the only Quarterback in the DSFL this season who is yet to throw an interception. 253 Words RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - SwagSloth - 09-04-2020 My very first game in the ISFL was a very good game. In week 1 of S22, I ran for 111 yards, which sounds really good. However, it took me 29 tries, which meant I was only getting 3.8 yards per carry and everyone tells me that's not very good. Thankfully, though, I did also get 2 rushing touchdowns and 8 catches for 56 yards. They even named me Offensive Player of the Game. Wow! But unfortunately, it got a lot harder from there. A lot of people expected me to be one of the top Running Backs in the league after that first game, but they forget that it's really hard to play in the ISFL... especially for a rookie! The plays that the Outlaws ran were a lot different than the ones the Minnesota Grey Ducks ran, which made it super hard because I basically had to start over. The next few weeks were okay even though I had some ups and downs, but my first really bad week was week 7 when we played the Liberty. The defense was really rough and knocked me around a lot, which was easy because of my size. At times, I wanted to give up, but I didn't becayse I didn't want to let the team down. Unfortunately, I only ran for 22 yards on 11 tries. That's only 2 yards per carry!!! I was so embarrassed. I did catch the ball 4 times, but only got 9 yards because the defense didn't let me get very far with it. Even though I knew pro football would be hard, that was the first game where I really questioned myself. It's been a tough career since that game and I've got plenty of good and bad games, but I was think of that game and tell myself it can only get better. 310 Words RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - Bwestfield - 09-04-2020 When I joined the DSFL from college I thought I was the best. The cream of the crop, the cat’s meow. But I quickly learned that this is a whole different level that i was not prepared for. The wide receivers are so good, the quarterbacks dont stare down the receiver and make my job easy. Well not all of them anyways. Hell some of them take off running themselves. Luckily none my way. But my ‘wow’ moment came when I was facing down a receiver one on one and the ball zipped right into his hands like a laser. That wasn’t even the bad part. When he came at me he trucked right through me with the stiffest of arms. I thought he was going to punch right through one of my soft buns. Thank God I had recently acquired some good pads. It was at that moment I knew I needed to step up my game and devote my life to this if I wanted to make it big. I want to be the very best, the best there ever was. Once I grow these patties a bit more, no one will push me over like that again! For now i’ll just squirt a little ketchup on the field until the ref notices. His dsfl journey is one of intrigue and mystery. His first season he was not sure if pandas would even be allowed to play in the league, after all he's a giant bear why would anyone let a giant bear in a league where people tackle each other. So he went on to create an elaborate ruse. And the Mysterious history of his new alter-ego, Juniped catfish. He payed a lot of his hard earned money from the zoo to create the most elaborate disguise. And it worked for a season, he fooled everyone even when making crazy runs against Kansas City. But the day he reported to Philadelphia to meet with the coaches after the draft, something changed. The coaches wanted him to play wide receiver! He couldn’t catch, but he had to find some way to explain it. He managed to make it all season without talking but he had to find a way. Well he had to reveal himself, there was no choice. So he showed the world who he really was, FlashPanda, Runner extraordinaire. but unfortunately they still wanted him to be a wide receiver. So following another impressive running near he switched and this is when his career really started. His first year in Philadelphia, his second year in Philadelphia was also rough 3rd year also bad. Panda never expected that he would have to catch in the ISFL and he has been working ever since his debut to live up to the potential that the Liberty see in him. He has rebounded from being a mostly non-factor to being an important member of the team and hope to be able to contribute to his team for many years to come. 300 words RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - caltroit_red_flames - 09-05-2020 SHL PT RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - SlurmsMckenzie - 09-05-2020 Slurms McKenzie was in a sense alien to football in the young wormlet years of his life. Growing up on the Planet Wormulon, McKenzie had to pull himself up by his bootless (because he is a worm and worms do not wear shoes) bootstraps working from a young age in the Slurm factory. McKenzie was a natural partier and soon found himself employed by Slurm as their spokesworm. Unfortunately, after a run of several years, a tragic workplace accident involving a lot of partying and a cave in left Slurms wrecked. After an uphill battle with corporate lawyers he finally secured a modest severance guaranteeing education at Mars University. While partying his way through a degree in partying, Slurms was discovered by the university football coach for well…partying. He partied so intensely that the coach knew that after a few cans of Slurm, he could count on McKenzie to party so hard he would surely tackle someone on the opposing team, hopefully one with the ball. When asked for comment the young worm stated,” PARTY ON DUDES!” After being asked to clarify he simply said, “WHIMMY WHAM WHAM WOZZLE!” McKenzie’s agent Glurmo had this to say, “Slurms comes from the planet Wormulon where the gravity is every so slightly greater than Earth, that gives our boy an edge! He also grew up laboring alongside the Grunkalunkas, those guys really know how to sling some Slurm, so you know my man Slurms is really gonna deliver in the DSFL!” 248 words RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - Daybe - 09-05-2020 http://probaseballexperience.jcink.net/index.php?showtopic=14338&view=findpost&p=215244 RE: (S24) - PT 4 - Trial by Fire - JaytheGreat - 09-05-2020 SHL CW |
