MM - The Pythons GM urged the team to contribute to the community through their volunteering, and encourage them to think BIG. Messi thought about the ongoing things and decided that COVID is the biggest thing, so Messi decided to go to hospitals to volunteer for the vaccine trial studies. Messi believes that his participation can diversify the people in the experiments; at least there is no public report about any football player enrolled in the clinical trials yet. Messi will make an appointment with a doctor on Dec 24th, fill out some surveys on Dec 25th, and will go to study centers regularly to test if he feels uncomfortable after taking the vaccines. Usually, there are control and experiment groups in the clinical trials, and Messi is thinking maybe he should bribe the nurse to get into the experiment group for the real vaccine. Last game, Mario cannot receive a lot of passes, because he was worried about the crowded football games, which can be the best propagation field for COVID. If Messi is lucky to get the real effective and miraculous investigational medication rather than a placebo, Messi will be immune to this stupid virus about half a year ahead of everyone else in the league. Even he only gets a placebo, Messi will feel like he has already got the vaccine, and he will be happy for the next six months. It sounds like a great idea.

There is a lot of charity work that can be done for players in the ISFL. The league really encourages charity work from all of the people in it. For our team, we had a few different events that we did that helped several different causes. We visited an old folks home to help with the care of older people and to bring them some joy. We visited a food kitchen to hand out food to the homeless people. On top of that, I also spent some time doing my own charity work. My own charity is obviously focused towards the military, as I am a famous former military leader. I am helping out soldiers who came back from the war to feel better and to have money and health care to be able to care for themself. I think it is great to give back and we are all very furtonate to play in this league and not have any issues ourself. We can be very happy and we should use our fortune and fame to help those in need of help and who are less furtonate than we are. I am really happy it is Christmas since it is the best time of the year to give back to people.

Serving the community over the holidays is Matt Cross's favorite part of the year. Cross recognizes that he is extremely lucky to be living the life he does, so he wants to be able to give back in large ways. To do this, paired with his good friend and teammate Jimi DeSoto, they created the Philly 12 Day's of Christmas service event. During this 12 day period, to start out Cross and DeSoto volunteer at food banks, give out scholarships to college students, and donate to homeless shelters. As the days continued, the service events got more involved and intricate, and the donations got bigger and bigger. On Days 7-11, they held their theatrical performance of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" to raise money for their local food banks. All these events led up to Day 12, when the main event was held, a grand wrestling match between Cross and DeSoto. Ticket sales for the event would be donated to homeless shelters across Philadelphia, and with the venue being sold out, they were able to raise 25 million dollars from this single event alone. As far as how the event went, it begun with Cross entering the arena to a Christmas rendition of the song "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. This would get the crowd hyped up to kick things off. The match would then promptly start, and during the majority of the duration, it consisted with Cross tossing DeSoto around the ring, and performing moves such as the Moonsault and Sunset flip. To end the match, Cross performed the Shooting Star press, a move where he leaped from the top rope, tucking in his knees while doing a back flip mid-air, to then land on DeSoto in the standard splash position. It was a wildly popular move which sent the crowd roaring in their entertainment. After the event's conclusion, Jimi DeSoto was quoted as saying "While raising money for charity was a big highlight, my favorite part was being pinned down by Matt."

The Second Line came together to devote some energy toward the community. Professional athletes are in great positions to give back to the community. There is a local nonprofit that meets many needs of the community. They offer emergency clothing and food aid. For example, the seasons change and so does the clothing needs of families. The nonprofit raises funds by holding fundraising events monthly. I think it would be a great way to tap into the generosity of football fans. Selling autographs and photos for the nonprofit could raise a good deal of money. Then, holding an auction later for various activities such as a golfing trip with myself, a shopping trip, date, etc. Then take some of the kids the nonprofit usually serves out for a special afternoon of bowling/laser tag/mini-golf and pizza, they love pizza. Plus, invitations to the annual summer camp I hold in the off-season. Typically, the summer camp cost a little bit for those able to pay fees. However, after the year we’ve had, these children have missed out on a lot of opportunities that make their childhoods special, so free football camp for all of them. This will be a great way for them to receive some specialized and high quality football training.
