(S22) - PT2 - Lazy Days - Tigerfan895 - 05-09-2020 PBE affiliate (S22) - PT2 - Lazy Days - PSanchez55 - 05-10-2020 Keynel McZeal has a unique hobby. Treasure hunting. It's something perhaps specific to Keynels home in the Golden Triangle. A small (think nickel) sized object is hidden somewhere within the city limits of some small town. At the specific time, a clue is posted on the hunt Facebook page. The hunters try to solve the clue and beat the other hunters to the hunting location. That can be anywhere from a city park, to a McDonald's drive through. The hunters are generally quite friendly and fun times are had all around. Plus, the finder of the hide wins a cash prize. That's always cool. When McZeal isn't hunting, he likes to run. Yeah, he's weird. But also, he knows that speed is king in the NSFL. He wants to be great. Speed will get him there. Parachutes are one of his favorite tools to get faster. Something about dragging a piece of air filled plastic behind him, he doesn't understand it. Neither do I. Running occasionally helps in treasure hunting too. He beats the other hunters to the location. Actually, Mczeal has yet to find a treasure. He keeps trying. One day he will find the treasure. One day, he will be an NSFL star. (S22) - PT2 - Lazy Days - qWest - 05-10-2020 Even in a world inundated with technology and entertainment products, Tatsu Nakamura has always kept himself grounded in sports, competition, and physical activity. As a young man bouncing between two worlds, spending most of the year in Seattle and joining his family in going back to their other home in Yokohama during holidays, Nakamura found it easiest to rely on sports to connect with people. As a young child this focus began with various martial arts, but especially with kendo. Even when he was in the US he still spent a great deal of the time during the football offseason training and building his skills. Now having moved to Southern California, Senpai Nakamura plans to teach and compete at his local dojo once the NSFL season ends. Nakamura has two more hobbies that are a big part of his life: cooking and tabletop games. He spent a great deal of time with his mother growing up, learning all about traditional Japanese cooking. Nakamura has continued to cook for himself, helping him maintain peak condition and perfect control over his diet. At the University of Washington and again at both Portland and Orange County, Nakamura has always had a tradition of inviting all of the team's offensive lineman for a rich dinner of ramen, sushi, curry, or any number of other dishes on Victory Mondays. Nakamura has also greatly enjoyed taking his competitive, focused, and creative mind and applying it to tabletop games and TTRPGs. He spent a portion of his signing bonus on his rookie deal to open up a luxurious board game bar and cafe in Orange County, where he frequently joins friends to drink and play games during his free time. In 200 words or more, describe what your player does for fun outside of football. Do they have any interesting hobbies or passions that they invest their time into? Are they in any athletic activities other than football? Do they sleep all day? What are they like off the field? Corvo Havran is not the youngest player in the NSFL anymore, so his earlier days of partying hard on his off days is something he has left behind him quite some time ago. Nowadays Corvo keeps himself occupied with his family. Corvo is the proud father of two childern and when he is not busy with his football he likes to spend as much time as he can with his kids and wife. Which include all kind of inhouse activities like game nights and going out to see places. Another passion Corvo has recently discovered is the passion of gardening. Corvo has always been a fan of a nice looking garden, but recently has taking himself up to arms to create his dream garden. Moving to Hawaii came with a greater climate and so Havran has been working towards a tropical garden. An activity he can tie together with spending time with his kids as they have been helping him out in the garden when Corvo is not around, with a little help from mum ofcourse. Corvo also looks a good cook out and has secured one of the top of the notches grills. He often hosts parties with guests and gets to wow them with his grilling and gardening skills. Nothing like grilling up a good burger, while meanwhile expaining the delicate process behind growing and caring for orchids. (S22) - PT2 - Lazy Days - Exilizer - 05-10-2020 As you may have guessed by his wardrobe choices, he is after all constantly wearing suits, Derred is a somewhat sophisticated gentleman outside of football. He has been rumoured however, to work for the Kingsman secret service over night, explaining his great instincts on the field, alas not much is know about this extremely elite group operating from the shadows. They do have and insist on first rate tailoring however, inciting further rumors that Derred may be a part of this organization. So is that what he gets up to in his spare time? We may never know, however what we do know is that he does enjoy a relaxing day off, with a nice single malt (scottish preferred), sitting by the fireside with his two dogs and reading a good book. You may be shocked to find that a man of his calibre enjoys reading fantasy and sci-fi the most as it gives him a wonderful escape from the day to day. He greatly admires the authors capabilities for world building and creating innovative magic systems or never before seen technology. At other times, he enjoys long walks in the countryside with his dogs, preferably somewhere at least hilly as there are no real mountains near London, so he has to settle for hills. [214 words] (S22) - PT2 - Lazy Days - RansackTheUniverse - 05-10-2020 Going back to his days in high school, Eldrick Avery had always loved to eat. Food had always been one of his greatest passions in life, rivalling even football. Avery had been known to regularly eat up to 10 Big Macs in a single sitting. This resulted in Eldrick’s weight holding him back on the football field. In his junior season he finally gave up on his love of binge eating so he could make the most of his football career. However, lately Avery has revisited his love of food, but this time he has done it through cooking. Lately, Avery has been spending every waking minute of his life not on the football field, in the kitchen. He’d make anything, from steaks, to pies, to pasta. The only problem was, Eldrick is an absolutely terrible cook. He had always preferred fast food back in his binge eating days, and had stayed out of the kitchen ever since to avoid any temptations. But nowadays, he was cooking an alarming amount of food, and it was all terrible. This actually works out pretty well for Avery though, because the thing is, he doesn’t actually eat any of his food. In order to stay in football shape, he has not eaten a single bite of his cooking. In fact, he hasn’t let anyone else try a bite of his cooking either. He simply throws out every single item of food that he cooks. Avery has stated on multiple occasions that he throws out all of his cooking “for the sewage system”, but he has refused to elaborate beyond that. (S22) - PT2 - Lazy Days - CDub2 - 05-10-2020 There's a couple things Mike Hockhertz likes to do outside of football. One of them is to play video games. The one he likes to play the most is Madden. He also likes the NHL franchise and has been known to dabble in NBA 2K, but madden is the best because of franchise mode. Well, I should say it used to be the best. The problem is that EA has decided to strip pretty much any depth from the game since about 2012. So that's 8 years of very shallow gaming. No matter how many gameplay trailers come out, no matter how many times the devs say they're going to revamp franchise mode, the same stuff always come out. No customization, no depth in the scouting, no depth to players or their attitudes. It's all pretty flat. Now look at the 2K franchise. You can do whatever you want. There's no excuse for EA other than laziness and profit hunting. And look at where all the development has come in the last 8 years. MUT. That's because MUT brings in money for them so it's easy to keep franchise the same way because saps like Mike Hockhertz will always continue to buy in hopes of something different. But that's the problem. Consumers are stupid, and developers need to make money. So that's what Mike does. Plays and whines about Madden. |
