RE: (S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity! - thevoicelesscreator - 12-19-2020 Christmas at the Magic’s home is a quiet affair. Mo, and Michael, enjoying dinner made by their mother (with help of course!). A little bit of small talk, a little bit of wine, and a little bit of cheeses to settle the night. However, unbeknownst to many, this night is a celebration for the Magic family. Not just a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, but a celebration of another year of giving. While the Magic family can be synonymously be tied to the Colorado Yeti’s charity ventures, there is one program they are tied to that is much lesser known. The Give-A-Day program, as it is named, is a program which targets low-income at-risk families across America. The program prides itself on helping the needy get the Christmas they deserve. However, a big part of the program is its anonymity. Families in the Give-A-Day program won’t know they are a part of the program until they benefit from it. And when they do, they will not know who is their sponsor. The only reason anyone knows at all is because a program of this scale is impossible to keep under wraps, financially. Other than a paper trail, the non-profit organization as it is classified, does a superb job of remaining anonymous. So good in fact that the only official ties the Magic family have with the program are as a merchandise provider. We have reached out to the Colorado Yeti organization but were unable to get any official statement regarding the team’s involvement. Having two cats of his own, being a sabercat was a match made in heaven for the you wideout. With that in mind, when his GM’s asked him to take care of some community service on his days off this week, Hood did not have a difficult time deciding what he would take part in. Hood will be heading to the local City of San Jose Animal Care Center to help volunteer to take care of the local cats and dogs. Tychondrius Hood, having been a huge fan of cats as long as he can remember, is perfect for this job. With so many animals in need of help, Hood is beyond amicable in terms of coming out and putting in work for a cause like this! Hood will start his day cleaning out kennels and cages, as well as doing the animals' laundry and he made sure to bring in some fresh treats and toys for the animals. Afterwards Hood will help the local vet with giving shots and medicine to the animals that are in need of it. Towards the end of the day, Hood will have a live TV presser where he will advocate the adoption and spay and neutering of local pets, Bob Barker style! |
