This season has been a great one for the Yeti, at least on the field. On their way to the playoffs, the team is in good spirits. However, behind the scenes there is trouble brewing. Trouble specifically between the two penguins on the team, Adélie de Pengu and Emperor de Pengu. Playing on opposite sides of the ball is tension enough, but now they are trying to say who is the better penguin. Adelie claims they're better because they have been there much longer. Emperor, however, feels they are superior because of their name and the inherent ruling connotation it has. Things are getting tense and it's starting to affect their play on the field as well.

Several people would step up to try and diffuse the situation. Melvin Murder-Moose, having a close relationship with both penguin parties, would step in and ask them to stop fighting for the good of the team. I, being the more direct type, would ask them to kindly stop fighting before I start fighting alongside them. Magnus Rikiya, in stark contrast, would appeal to both parties, explaining how they are both the best penguin in their own regard. The Yeti are a diverse group of teammates and they cover each others' weaknesses with strengths of their own.

I mean, it depends on what the fight was about. If it was some petty shit between two similarly sized teammates, then I say a hitting drill is in order. Or put on some boxing gloves and settle it that way. But that doesn't work if there's a large discrepancy between the two people fighting, unless the small dude was some crazy mofo like Steve Smith, you know? But I dunno, it don't seem like the players on San Jose are the fighting type. Hell, I often hear about grievances way later, after they're settled, like how I heard about the players getting traded and all that.

But it's a tough sport. You need 22 guys and more on every given Sunday, and winning is the cure-all in this business, and we are not making the playoffs, so, I can understand guys' frustration. Or the fact that we're putting our bodies on the line for absolute trash pay. Yeah that's right, I'm taking the opportunity to trash ISFL pay grades yet again! People come and go in this business, sometimes mid-season as you guys know. I don't feel like I've earned the respect of people in this locker room yet enough to call mofos out for their behavior, not to mention if you're looking for tact, it ain't gonna be from me, so...

And honestly, if the coaches are coming to me to try and help restore order, shit's already fucked beyond help. Just think about that for a sec, lmao. I'm just a corner, man. I'm out here on my island. Half the time, all's I gotta worry about is the mofo lined up across from me, and occasionally what the backer and safety to my side is doin'. If shit's goin' down elsewhere, well, I got enough on my plate. Not to mention I ain't been playing as well as I could or should be. I got a lot to work on this offseason...

But if it was somethin' I thought I could do to help, I don't mind speaking out, whether individually or in front of the team. Again, it really depends on the circumstances. There ain't no catch-all solution to this. Some things you gotta call out in front of everyone and shame them. Others are best left behind closed doors. Personally though, I like airin' out that dirty laundry but I know that ain't for everybody.

In the Kansas City locker room, it is not uncommon for spirits to get high or for different personalities to come into contact with each other that do not work all the time. With the recent edition of Tessie Garciaparra, Jason Garciaparra has found that his old brother-sister arguments have gotten some of the other teammates to be a bit worried that the siblings actually get into serious arguments. However, Jason Garciaparra does well enough on his own to usually get these disagreements shut down before they become much of an issue with the coaches. If these sort of arguments end up becoming too big, then Jason always resorts to just bringing his sister Tessie in to make sure any confusion is put aside so that everyone can move on. The only argument that came without the assistance of Tessie being a help is in an argument over which of the Coyotes Jason would least like to date his sister and the opposite for Tessie which resulted in plenty of arguments about different players and what sort of positives they could have off of the field. The siblings had arguments over this for a while and the teammate that Jason had to turn to was Troy Abed who also makes a good mediator in these situations.

Surprise surprise. Mario Von Pebbles and Matt Krause got into it again. I’ve only been on the team for what, like a month? Maybe two months? And this is probably the 10th time that I’ve seen them argue. This time it started to turn into a shoving match, so it’s lucky that I was there to break them up before it got worse. What started this fight, you ask? Well, I’m sure most of you have heard about the Minnesota Grey Duck tradition of kissing in the showers. Well MVP and Krause have tried keeping that tradition going in Berlin. Most of the teammates don’t take part in this, but Krause and MVP sure do. The usual reason for the fights is that Krause feels like MVP isn’t giving it his all when they’re doing their post-game shower kissing. That offends MVP a bit, so he usually brings up the fact that Daymond Brooks is a way better kisser than Krause, and he wishes that Brooks was on the team so that he could kiss him instead. It’s an absolute mess. This time around, I decided to step in to try to get the fighting to stop completely since the playoffs are about to start. I promised them that if Berlin wins the Ultimus, I’ll call up my boy Daymond and we can all go to Bali this offseason. Now they’re buddy buddy again and they’re more motivated than ever. Problem solved!

PickSix II would just let sleeping dogs lie, if he wasn't involved directly, and that's a big if, there's no reason for him to get involved.  PickSix II just keeps to himself and let's his play on the field speak for him.  Teammates are temporary, they're either with the team, or they're on another team next season, no reason to get involved in their petty disputes.  PickSix II has bigger things to worry about like how to turn down a young fan's birthday request, or how to get out of coaching his high school team so he has more time for himself.  I mean PickSix II doesn't get paid enough to deal with conflict resolution and he's not a team captain either, so he'll let the coaches and captains sort that out and if PickSix II happens to move up the depth chart because the team had to release a problem maker, then that's even better for his career than if he got involved.

At the end of the day, stick to your lane, that's always the best advice, this is a football team, not a book club, we don't solve each other's problems here, we settle them on the field, it's just the way we're built and PickSix II is definitely built different.

The Outlaws, as the name may suggest, have a fair few trouble makers on the roster. Unfortunately, two of the biggest trouble makers are actually the GM’s themselves — Z-Whiz and Crunk. Between Crunk’s drunken antics and Z-Whiz “trolling” the team for his own amusement, it’s hardly shocking that their reputation has not spread further throughout the league. However, the issue that then needs to be answered is how do you deal with a situation where those that hold all the power and should be responsible for solving such issues are the ones actually causing them?!

First up, we need to get someone on board that they’ll listen to. That’s gonna be Charlemagne Cortez and Tatsu Nakamura. They’re experienced, important to the team's success and generally level headed. We would straight up need an intervention for Crunk, including an agreement to attend AA meetings. Without professional help, that man is a lost cause. While he is very much a functioning adult, he has a few “non-GM” moments that he would need to remove from his character, should the team continue to progress under his leadership. Z-Whiz… well, I don’t think you could ever truly stop the man from trolly. It’s part of his very being. I think your best bet here is to just ask him to leave the snowflakes alone and focus on those that can take it.
