We ended up heading to England over the past offseason. For some reason the rookie Rean(me) was decided to be the lead on the visit, probably cause OCO just wants to make work being a rookie, as well as having multi-positional experience since I've been around as a RB, CB, and a safety in my short time in the league not sure if I agree with their reasoning, but whatever, I'm here.  Sort of a dual effort event there while we are doing a workshop on football, we are also learning a ton about the sport of rugby during our visit. Overall it was a pretty standard camp where we did a ton of drills to get people involved as well as some more specific position drills which I have experience in and more interested in the sport. There was also some excellent discussions on how game planning and team construction works as well  as all the different plans you can do with just a few tweaks to your strategy on any given gameday. The whole experience getting to meet all these fans of the sport was amazing and we also got a whole new respect on the intricacies of rugby as well. I am looking forward to doing other trips to teach about football in the future!

After an amazing season that was capped off with an Ultimus win it seemed like the whole world wanted a piece of the New York Silverbacks. Requests came pouring in from every corner of the globe asking if the Silverbacks could help impart some of that championship mentality. With so many requests it was impossible to decide on just one player, or one location. Ultimately the Silverbacks chose to send three representatives to three different areas. Offensive lineman (and mountain of a man) Marlon Alexander headed to Reykjavik, Iceland to lead a workshop on the finer details of physically dominating your opponent. Backfield superstar (and America's Ass) Captain Rogers made his way to Shenzhen, China to coach a camp focusing on using a combination of speed and strength to create separation from a defender. And everyone's favorite player (for real, literally everyone) Dogwood Maple took a trip to Fier, Albania to give a TED Talk on what it's like to be so awesome.

The tour was a massive success. Everyone was so happy to see these ISFL stars and learn about the things that made them champions. The New York Silverbacks look forward to conducting many more of these workshops in the years to come.

Who better to showcase the brilliant game of football than the son of the greatest there ever has been or will be, Gimmy Jaroppolo? While Gimmy Jr’s skills are just starting to develop, the skills of his father are known across the world. Gimmy Jr will travel far and wide spreading the good word of Gimmy GOAT, and telling his legends to those who have never heard of a quarterback before. Once they hear of his greatness, they will immediately become more interested in the sport. The way this gets pitched of course depends on the country where Gimmy Jr is touring. Obviously, he cannot just travel to one country. For example, when Gimmy Jr goes to Portugal, he’ll be talking about how if the two Ronaldos combined into one player and then multiplied their skills by 10, you’d get Gimmy Sr. In Argentina, you’d have a similar pitch but in reference to Maradona and Messi. Show them that this sport has such a clear and obvious GOAT, that they can see what perfection of the sport looks like before committing to being a fan. Once they see the footage and understand Gimmy’s greatness, each and every citizen of the world will become a fan of American Football. With this plan, we shall eclipse soccer as the world’s most popular sport.

When the opportunity arose to be an ambassador for the game in another country, Kazimir Oles JR jumped at the opportunity to run a workshop in Poland. Not many people know this, but Kaz SR, and Kaz JR, are named after Tyler and Kaz’s grandfather who immigrated as a child from Poland to the US. The only reason they are not JR and the 3rd is because of their middle names being different from Kaz SR’s grandfather. With that being said, the Oles family as a whole jumps at any opportunity they can to see a heritage they haven’t been able to connect with otherwise, and they have already taken several trips over to Poland in an effort to help raise awareness for the game and to bring a new generation of athletes to the country. Running a workshop for this family is just another day of the week for them, by the time they landed for the event it was already filled up with a long waiting list. Marketing was made even easier as Kaz JR was just announced as the DSFL MVP before they made the journey over to Poland, so many people jumped at the opportunity to attend the workshop and see what the family had to bring to the country. A free workshop where the only limitations was the field capacity itself, the Oles brand had a great weekend of helping out kids, pre-teens, and those about to be an adult alike in honing their game or just finding new enjoyment in something they may only casually watch.
