(S22) - PT1 - Runnin’ Down a Dream - LGMForever - 05-01-2020 It's hard to not have any goals or expectations coming into the year, since that's the whole point in order for a player to improve upon their game and eventually leave the season happy with themselves and how they've done. However, Carl Wheezer is not the type of player to lay his eyes on a specific goal like some of the others might. Rather, he has an entire array of goals that hopes to gradually accomplish at different points through the year. Of course, the headliner of this is to make sure that he brings as much attention as possible to Retroville during his presence on the media whether it be during interviews on the field or off the field. Many probably do not know this but the town of Retroville, where Carl Wheezer comes from, is currently experiencing a rampant amount of crime. The RPD has minimal funding and therefore their law enforcement is incapable of capturing all the arsonists and murderers. Wheezer's goal is to appeal to the country in order to raise up a militia that can storm into the town and take out all of the crime, quite possibly taking over the local government while at it and running the town themselves. If this is done before week seven, it will be a great accomplishment. Code: 221 Words (S22) - PT1 - Runnin’ Down a Dream - DarknessRising - 05-02-2020 As a rookie just entering the DSFL, my hopes is not centred around beating any careers best, this season is all about setting the benchmark for the type of player I aspire to be for all future seasons in the NSFL or DSFL if I am sent down. I want to make it clear that I am a high prospect who is going to add value to any team, showing my value on the field whilst also contending with two teammates in the same position, thus when my stats are still highly ranked, it will only be more impressive. I’m not gunning for an award or league record, but playing hard and well may just bring those anyways. My goal is just to be the reliable option for the team and that in itself will bring wins, glory, playoff games, Ultimini games and maybe even the trophy. This might bring in reward contention but my performances will speak for themselves. This benchmark of performance is my own way of knocking on the NSFL doors to make them pay attention to me, to show why I should be there prospect once the season is over. To accomplish all of this, will make one heck of a year I can be proud of. He played last season as the WR3 or WR4 on the Developmental Simulation Football League championship winning Myrtle Beach Buccaneers. Even though he didn't put up great numbers compared to his peers in this amazing season 22 draft class, he worked really hard because he knew his time would come as long as he persevered. He was drafted into the National Simulation Football League in the middle rounds to the Colorado Yeti and even though he really wants to play on the big stage, he is also very happy to back in Myrtle Beach to make another run at a second Ultimini trophy. This time he will be a starter at either WR1 or WR2 and see significantly more playing time. His goals this year are to be a major contributor toward a playoff push and eventual second championship. He doesn't care about individual awards. It would be nice to be recognized at the end of the season but that's not what pushes him. What motivates Leeroy is knowing that his brothers in the locker room trust in his ability to snag the deep bomb down the sideline. Oh and maybe a touchdown or two. Yes, that would be nice as well. (S22) - PT1 - Runnin’ Down a Dream - Amidships - 05-02-2020 During his rookie season, Tyler would like to complete a few specific goals for himself and for his team. On a personal level, he'd like to break the Birddogs' single season sacks and single season tackles for loss records. He'll need at least eleven sacks and eighteen tackles for loss to break both. It will certainly be challenge, but it is not necessarily out of the realm of possibility. Last and most important, Tyler would like to continue training and reach the TPE cap for the DSFL in time for the season 23 draft. This goal is likely the most obtainable, as he is already on track to complete it. So long as his predictions don't fall too far off, he should complete this goal without issue. More importantly, he'd like to help the Birddogs reach the playoffs and fight for an Ultimini berth. This goal is quite high, but he thinks the talent on the team is enough that they could be a dark horse contender. They'll need to catch a few breaks, but between the players skill and the great GMs running the show it is completely possible that they make it into the final. All in all, Tyler's rookie season looks to be an exciting one, and he can't wait to see where it leads. (S22) - PT1 - Runnin’ Down a Dream - qWest - 05-02-2020 When it came to the end of my first season in the professional leagues, I had managed to help push a Portland Pythons team that had only managed two wins the previous season into the playoffs. We had the strongest defense in the league, so I knew it was up to me as the lead running back on the team and a contributor in the return game to move the sticks and put up points against the Kansas City Coyotes. Unfortunately, outside of one decent return, I got totally stuffed in that matchup and the offense put up only 7 points in the entire match as the team took a huge loss in the first round of the playoffs. I was excited for the chance to come back for revenge this season, but I've been called up to my new NSFL team to help fight for an even more important trophy. I'm so excited by and appreciative for the opportunity to join the greatest franchise in the NSFL with an opportunity to take a lot of snaps right off the bat. I find myself in a similar position with this roster that I did with the Pythons in the playoffs: in OCO we have an excellent defense, probably the best in the league, and, given the immense amount of talent that is here on offense as well, I have a narrow set of duties and goals. This organization and my team are counting on me to execute those goals: to keep mixing up the offense, keeping other players fresh, moving the sticks, and helping execute in the red zone. So I don't have a big goal like winning Rookie of the Year or leading the league in rushing stats, my goal is smaller and yet more important: doing my job. (S22) - PT1 - Runnin’ Down a Dream - KillKillKill - 05-02-2020 I don’t think I have any crazy high goals this season. I just want to contribute to my defense being best in the league. If I’m contributing in any sort of positive way, then I consider that a success. Now, if some hardware come along with that success in the form of some personal achievement award, notably a best linebacker award, then I’ll accept that award graciously. I mean, at the end of the day, who doesn’t want their name written in the history books. I just can’t let myself dwell on that. I have to put team first and just hope that the singular accolades come right up behind them. If I start to think too much about the personal stuff, I feel like I’ll lose that cohesiveness that is so difficult to foster on the defense. A good defense is only as good as it’s weakest player and I’ll be dammed if I’m the reason that Austin doesn’t bring home another trophy. So I’ll leave the speculation on MVP or Defensive Player if the Year to you guys to figure out. I’ll just be here with my defense playing team ball as it was meant to be. I’d rather bring home another Ultimus than win an individual award 9 times out of 10. 216 Words (S22) - PT1 - Runnin’ Down a Dream - toivo - 05-02-2020 PBE PT Kahn (S22) - PT1 - Runnin’ Down a Dream - Mooty99 - 05-02-2020 What do I wish to accomplish are you asking well the first thing tell you I'm a team player, I don't look for records I don't look for accolades what I look for is tell my team as much as humanly possible. With this in my mind going on the best Austin's success in the league I'm not going to lie to you you are a season has not started great we have been very unlucky in opening three matches which we would have hoped to win however it is a long season it is a hard season and there are a lot more matches to be played before it is over I might sound like a dreamer with Austin without a win in their opening three games but my main goal is to drive this team in the playoffs and at the Ultimus. If I have any goal as a player is not a single season but it is career goals my goals are to be best running back in Austin history I want the most rushing yards the most carriers the most touchdowns all of which I would have done but one single team the team I love Austin.
