I am so glad this prompt is a thing so I can explain to everyone the Fire Salamanders mascot. Sally the Fire Salamander is a benevolent, fun loving mascot who loves to cheer on the team and hype up the crowds, and is especially very good at DEFINITELY NOT CAUSING FIRES OK? The fire on her back is definitely not hot enough to cause other things to light and that stadium fire was an oven fire after someone left the sauerkraut on for too long. Sally would never do such a thing. If you want to get a better picture of Sally the Fire Salamander, picture the salamander from Frozen, except black red and yellow, walking on two legs, and six feet tall. Still the same wholesomeness though, and that's what counts. Some things Sally likes to do are hug children, pet animals, and donate to fire related charities around Germany, all while NOT CAUSING FIRES. The fire at the German Red Cross was caused by an electrical issue with old faulty wires, and it was a TOTAL COINCIDENCE that Sally happened to be there at the exact same time it happened. Fell her fire, it's like a heating pad for a sore back after a long day of work. If you ever want to meet Sally you can pay for a ticket and come to a Berlin home game.

Fireman Charlie is was a firefighter, now he's a butcher. He attends all the games and is the Sister Jean of the Butchers.

I really don't know what the Birddogs mascot is? Do ISFL and DSFL teams have official mascots? I assume it's just your stereotypical dog which is cute and stuff but the idea that I have is having an actual birddog hound for like a pre-show appearance to get the crowd pumped up for the game. I've always thought that Turbus would be a good name as well and not for the sake that it's a good name but for the fact that it's something that would get the notice of the rest of the league or other sports fans as well and bring more people into watching Birddogs games. While the idea of the mascot may be to make sure that fans at the game are having a good time, if we can get more fans watching and supporting our DSFL team because of our cute dog with a weird name in the pre-0game that seems like a good idea to me.

We could also have the Dallas fans vote on a name if the idea that more people will watch doesn't work. Fans getting the opportunity to vote on the name might get the fans more involved. There are plenty of way to get people involved through the mascot and these mascots are extremely important to the league.

The San Jose SaberCats have a guy in a costume dressed as a saber-toothed cat in football paraphernalia. As many may be aware, the saber-toothed cat is an extinct species in real life. Or is it...

Okay, yes, it is. And we should know. We tried.

The costumed dude's saber teeth come down past the shoulder pads. We call him Épée for the hell of it and because it's a fencing reference. He leads the charge onto the field when we come out during pregame and with a few minutes before the end of halftime. During the game, he can be seen going about the stadium, launching t-shirts and more from the t-shirt cannon, heckling opposing fans and mascots by posing like he's gonna eat them and seeing how long it takes for them to notice. Opposing fans are fun to watch this happen to when you have a minute to catch your breath on the sidelines.

Home fans will also get pictures done with them about to get chomped.

He didn't get to be the decent compromise without a few...prototypes. The first mascot looked terrifying. The second attempt WAS terrifying and lasted one game before the real cloned saber-toothed cat straight-up died on the field and terrified everyone. The third attempt swung way too far in the opposite direction and looked like something you'd see at a minor league baseball game. It took until try four to finally get it...alright. By then, he was good enough and the fans grew attached since.

I’ve always imagined the Philadelphia Liberty mascot to be one of two things. The first is the serious mascot, who is basically a Paul Revere type character, a man dressed in early American colonial garb who carries around a musket and hits a giant bell every time the Liberty score. He represents the heart of American freedom that is also targeted in the naming of the team, so he’s special because he’s the most American mascot you could get in America’s favorite sport. He’s known for lining up on the sideline with the special teams unit and charging down the sideline as they return kickoffs and punts, his musket forward like he’s charging the enemy. The second mascot I picture is known to many, the mascot that’s just a giant Liberty Bell (named Libertine), though the iconic crack is on the front, like a cleft chin, instead of on the back, like a butt crack (this is a sport for all ages after all). He also rings the giant bell whenever Philly scores, but he always apologizes to the bell afterward, caressing it in a caring way since he knows what it’s like to be rung. There’s no charging down the field for him either, as running is difficult in the costume.

In one of the most shocking events in league history, the S21 NOLA mascot was driving with LB Joey Slothface on a cross country tour, when, suddenly, the car brakes broke, causing Slothface and our mascot to drive off a cliff, killing both instantly. We have since been mascot free in honor of the lives lost, but perhaps it is time to pick a new mascot. I suggest a full barbershop quartet could be our new mascot. New Orleans is obviously known for their rich musical scene, most famously its jazz. However, very few people know that barbershop quartets appeared in New Orleans as early as the late 19th century. In fact, famous jazz musician Louis Armstrong, who was born in New Orleans, sang in a barbershop quartet as a young man. Barbershop music is a uniquely American idiom, and could be a popular showcase at the games. The quartet as a mascot could dress up in purple suits and serenade with song as they enter the stadium. They could also perform the national anthem before games, and maybe sing a song or two as half-time entertainment. As the team does not have an animal or creature in its team name, but a musical group, it makes too much sense for the mascot to be a musical ensemble.
