RE: (S30) PT 2 - Alternate History - siddhus - 08-01-2021 Ray the Manta Ray is certainly not that hard to imagine what his life would be without the ISFL or football. As a manta ray that originated from the ocean, if not for his football career, he would probably have gone back to the ocean to live there by now. But also since he originated not as a football player but actually as a mascot that was later asked to come play for the team, mascotting has been something that has always interested him, so something that he could potentially go back to. Not too many choices really determined his current ISFL career. Washing up on shore in Hawaii, close to where the Honolulu Hahalua stadium was located really set his path in life forward, since watching their football games was one of the only first things that he saw after getting on land. In the water, he wouldn't really need a job, as it was free to live there, so it would not be a problem for him in that regard. All in all, who really knows what happens if something in life goes different, there are so many opportunities, but I believe that playing in the DSFL and soon to be drafted in the ISFL, was destiny for Ray the Manta Ray, and he wouldn't wish it any other way. RE: (S30) PT 2 - Alternate History - RussDrivesTheBus - 08-01-2021 As some of his oldest fans may remember from previous media, Bass’ father was a famous pro-wrestler. If Bass hadn’t taken his visit to Knoxville in his senior year of high school, he very well could’ve been entertaining the millions…AND MILLIONS around the world watching the squared circle. The visit he had was persuasive for a number of reasons, but the most fitting one is that, unironically, Bass loves the water. If you’ve never been to the University of Tennessee’s campus, let alone Neyland Stadium on a Saturday in October, you’re truly missing out. The Tennessee river serves as the backdrop for some of the most electrifying afternoons in college football. The stadium is on the river, and the cool breeze comes rolling off it and into the tunnels of that hallowed arena. Taking the recruits to a game is really a cheat code, because hearing that capacity crowd of 102,455 screaming Rocky Top does change a kid. Yes, he was a legacy, but he hadn’t made his mind up about his future in football. Bass has always loved entertaining, but the energy in that stadium was too infectious. But who knows? Who’s to say Bass doesn’t make his way to the ring once his football career meets its end? |
