RE: (S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity! - JBLAZE_THE_BOSS - 12-20-2020 The happiest time of the year—for everyone except Mike Boss Jr. You could say that the Rookie QB had a hot start, but as of late, has gone from a rocket strapped to his ass destined for the moon to now being more of watching The Challenger Disaster re-play in 4 quarter increments. Boss Jr has provided the gift of games to a few opponents this season, but his benevolence is not limited to the grid iron. Boss Jr has carried over his own personal foundation from his time at Tijuana. For every INT thrown and game lost directly because of his actions, Boss Jr has donated thousands of dollars of video game products and accessories to kids in need. Boss Jr. was asked his motivations for starting this charity: “I was always a closeted dork as a kid. My parents didn’t want me to play video games, but luckily since dad was away all the time, Mom always had one of my dozens of uncles get me a video game whenever they visited. Sometimes when dad was gone for three to four weeks at a time, I’d come out of that with like six new video games. Those things kept me busy for hours! I just want to give the kids of Sarasota the same feeling I had as a youngster.” [223] RE: (S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity! - White Cornerback - 12-20-2020 Written Option: Your GM has asked everyone on the team to spend some time contributing to the community over the holidays. Where or how would your player spend their time volunteering? Would we find them in a children’s hospital meeting some kids, serving meals at the soup kitchen, or somewhere else? Would they volunteer alone, or with their teammates? lavelle jr was brought to the ISFL hospital for kids who cant read good or follow basic rules and want to do other stuff good too facility, in which he had a major part. he volunteered on his own and spent most of his time trying to teach folks in the ISFL how to read stuff like the rulebook so that they could undserstand it. we went over other integral stuff too like how regression works as well as what is actually defined as harassment we also went over stuff like why making a system of government is not only incredibly boring but also why it wouldnt work lavelle jr then had a special session with gms where we went over the do's and donts of the isfl player system and explained how players arent your literal slaves and why they CAN and SHOULD reject your slave contracts, we also went through why AGENTS arent as bad as RACISTS or WOMAN BEATERS, a view some people still today in the ISFL believe is the truth. we then finished up our fantastic day by explaining just exactly how and why people leave your team as well as the sort of behaviour that triggers it and who the fuck in the league is on the DND - DO NOT DRAFT list. in the end everybody learned from it as well as felt more together and we all warmly embraced RE: (S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity! - SDCore - 12-20-2020 So NationalSim FootballLeague has been tasked with doing something for charity or for some good over the Holiday break. He was never a big philanthroper, but has decided to use some of his minor wealth in a way to help others. He is going to do this by working for a homes for humanity team. He grew up on the Mexico border in San Diego, so he is really familiar with that community. Instead of going down to Mexico to party, drink, and abuse all the vices, he has decided to give back. He will be going down to just south of Tijuana, where he spent time in the Developmental Simulation Football League, to give back to the community that gave so much to him. With this he is bringing some of his old Tijuana teammates, like Pat Fieri and Timmy Dimbi, as well as some of the old guard in Tijuana, like Forrest Gump and Rod "Kwan" Tidwell. They are going to do a huge community outreach to help a less than great area just outside of Tijuana. This is a community that does a whole lot for the franchise and it's about time that we give back to them. Tijuana Luchadores are the best franchise in the league, so it's time everyone sees it. RE: (S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity! - siddhus - 12-20-2020 Jim Waters has not been having the best of seasons with his team, with the Hahalua yet to win their second game of the season yet. With their shortcomings, one would hope that at least Waters was getting stats, but even there, he was disappointed in the impact that he had on his team. Now with it being close to the holidays, Waters was asked to help out a bit, and he felt in the festive mood so decided to listen to his GM and try to contribute to his community. As a player in Honolulu, a place more famous for beachs, he decides to do some trash cleanup. Over the time, the beaches get damaged, with all the littering that happens, so with the rest of the Hahaluians, they go ahead and clean that up. Overall was just a good team bonding and morale expierence cause everyone was joking around and having fun, working together to make their city better for the people in it. With lots of other people close by, when they saw the players working, they came and joined in, to help them out, and that helped the players get closer to their fans and for the fans to finally meet their favorite players. RE: (S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity! - katarn22 - 12-20-2020 Albert Ruschmann, as mentioned in previous writings, loves the holidays. Not just the big ones like Christmas and Easter, but Halloween, 4th of July, Labor Day. You name it, Albert celebrates it. That being said, though, this time of year is particularly special for Albert. The reason being is that he gets to spread holiday cheer through the magic of Christmas caroling. In high school, Albert took choir as an easy elective. However, through the guidance and tutelage of his wonderful choir director, his talent and passion for singing grew. Albert loves going out and around Denver (and formerly London as a member of the Royals) the week leading up to Christmas and caroling. There is something almost magical about hearing the sound of holiday music around this time of year. Now obviously, one cannot carol alone. Albert invites all of his Yeti teammates, and they, often begrudgingly, tag along. Even if they may not be the best singers, they know it means a lot to Albert so they do it anyway. Being a tangentially winter-themed team, the Yeti choirs favorite songs include Frosty the Snowman and Sleigh Ride. Overall, many laughs and smiles are had, both among the singers and listeners. What you will find Jake Fencik doing is a week long charity stream event during the holidays where 100% of donations go to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. All donations will be matched by Jake Fencik, and if certain milestones are reached, Fencik will donate more money. There is a variety of games played, and if certain events happen in those games, Fencik will donate money. For example, in League of Legends, if Fencik wins a game, it is $50, if Fencik loses a game it is 25$. Kills are $5, deaths are $10, quadra kills are $25, and pentakills are $100. Other games played include Team Fortress 2, Among Us (with former London Royals teammates), and Jackbox Party Packs with stream viewers. Winners of Jackbox games get a $100 donation to a charity of their choice. The Among Us games will feature lies, deception, betrayal, and excitement as Fencik tries to find the impostors among the crew, or kill all the crewmates. With your help, Fenick can 'kick away children's cancer', every donation counts. RE: (S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity! - AgentSmith - 12-20-2020 Borgo San Lorenzo has found something near and dear to his heart to put time towards this holiday season: helping mentor children who were affected by mob violence. San Lorenzo’s father never did say what he did for a living, always saying he had “business to take care of” whenever he left the house in the morning, and Borgo’s mother confided in him that the family had Italian Mafia connections. While Borgo never saw the effects of his father’s handiwork, he knows in his heart that it exists, and he feels the need to help mend the wounds, both physical and emotional, that are brought about by “activities” done by the mob. Borgo has recently spent time with some kids at a daycare dedicated to the kids of adults who have been affected by mod violence, and he’s also been spending some time working in a soup kitchen run by some contacts his mother put him in touch with, those who know how to stay out of the mob’s way and know how to help in the most influential ways without upsetting the mob. Borgo loves seeing the smiling faces of the kids whenever he shows up at the daycare with the Dallas Birddogs official mascot, Finn, for them to play with and pet as a way to relieve some stress. At least as a professional athlete. Every Christmas season Sarasota teammates Mike Boss Jr. and Tre'Darius J'Vathon take a trip down to the local children's hospital to handout gifts, spend time with the kids and their families and do their best to bring some Holiday cheer to an otherwise place of dreary-ness. This year Boss Jr. and J'Vathon loaded up on toys, electronics, and memorabilia from the team to hand out to all different types of wish lists for the kids. A hot item was the PlayStation 5, unsurprisingly, and they were able to work with Sony to get 100 consoles direct to give out to the kids that asked for them. Not only did they hand them out they hooked them up and played some Madden with the kids which surely made their year. Not only did they supply the kids with gifts but they handed out gift cards to the families to assist with any daily essentials they need and may struggle to get due to hospital bills. It was a lot of Holiday cheer going around and to spread happiness, even if only briefly, it will last in those kids memories for a lifetime. RE: (S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity! - Naosu - 12-20-2020 In order to earn their Christmas bonus, GM Frost has asked Goku and the team to help out the community in the Sarasota area. Most of the team decided to help at local soup kitchens, but this didn’t go well for Goku. He got hungry and ate most of the soup that was meant for the less fortunate. He had to get more out of his own pocket and was sent home so he decided to help in another way.Chi-Chi suggested he help with delivery mail and packages a couple days before Christmas so people can get their last minute gifts on time. Goku showed up to the Amazon fulfillment center in Sarasota and said he was there to help. As he’s somewhat famous in the area, the manager there was pleased to see Goku when they were backed up on deliveries. While a shock to some of the staff, Goku was given a large number of packages and flew through the neighborhood giving people their gifts like a modern day Santa. When he was done a load, he instant transmissioned back to the warehouse and got more. After a full shift of this he got the shipping from being behind by three days to entirely caught up and some workers leaving early. |
