RE: (S27) Ultimus Week - JBLAZE_THE_BOSS - 03-18-2021 PBE PT 2.5 tpe #17 The most unique food item sold at Sailfish home games would have to be the New York Style pizza. While there is usually a northeast presence in Florida, it’s rare to find pizza at a stadium restricted to just New York Style, and not sponsored by a major pizza chain. The item is new and is a hit, and the story behind the item addition is even better. Quarterback Mike Boss Jr. was raised in Massachusetts and grew up on this style of pizza. The rumor has it that Boss Jr. tried the existing pizza on his first day at work and was remarkably unimpressed. In a vote of confidence for their young QB, the Sailfish front office surprised everyone by bringing in an authentic New York pizza chef who operates several locations across NY, MA, and CT. “Nunzio’s New York Pizza” is a small, authentic chain that proved to be one of the most popular menu items all season. Other fan favorites include Cuban style sandwiches, Burgers, Sausages, Hot Dogs, Nachos, and a bevy of ice or ice cream products to cool off, Sailfish fans have plenty of choices when they come to a game. One glaring omission—for some would be the complete lack of seafood on the menu. Code: 211 words #22 It is not uncommon for Ultimus winning quarterbacks to be rewarded with product endorsements, and Mike Boss Jr. is no different. The son of one of the best players in ISFL history has carved his own legacy, now with an Ultimus Championship of his own and a national product endorsement to be the cherry on top. Boss Jr. is now officially sponsored by GFuel Energy, the most popular energy beverage company in the world after the huge lawsuits against Red Bull and Monster several years ago. Boss Jr. will have his own official flavor which will reportedly be inspired by Taco Bell exclusive beverage Baja Blast. “I’ve been using GFuel for years to help aid my caffeine habit and I am thrilled to have my own flavor and become a spokesman for the company. We just completed shooting my first commercial which is expected to air prime time in the coming weeks. Look out for cardboard cutouts of me drinking my own special flavor at your local convenience store. My flavor is inspired by a certain exclusive beverage of a Mexican fast-food restaurant—hey if you guys are open to business, I’ll name drop you, too” said Boss Jr. in a statement released by his agent. The internet was predictably indifferent about the news. Code: 214 words #25 I’m blessed enough to not have to think hypothetically about this one, I know exactly how my team would celebrate an Ultimus victory, because we just did it only days ago. We partied of course in the locker room pretty hard, but the party didn’t end there. The party extended onto the team plane. We played cards, smoked cigars, I rolled some of my own with my own “special blend” and got some of the Assistant coaches to even take a few drags. It was an insane party thousands of feet above the ground. Once we landed in Sarasota, we all went home. Just kidding. We got our asses right to the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport bar and put up a bill in the thousands of dollars while we waited for the car services to arrive. Our destination was the Five O’Clock Club, a Sarasota night-life staple known for serving cheap adult beverages and providing a great time. We continued along the same path and bar-hopped for the rest of the night. I finally got a ride home and slept immediately until the parade. That’s when the party continued and I had to swear off alcohol halfway through the parade and switch up to a strictly water only intake, things got a little crazy on Sarasota Bay. I can’t wait to do it all over again someday. If you are only in the ISFL, write about your ideas for a sim league with another sport. I am a member of the Pro Baseball Experience. Up until joining the league, my main experience with online sports simulation leagues was playing Madden league games. When I joined the Pro Baseball Experience, I had no idea really what I was getting into. I saw a post on the Out Of The Park subreddit, and thought I would give it a shot. Soon after signing up, I joined the league's Discord, and was immediately contacted by a few members of the management, including the current Commissioner at the time, @majesiu. They effortlessly helped me not only decide what type of player I wanted to play, but also gave great suggestions as to what I should start investing my skill points into. Just a couple of days later, the Majors and Minors drafts got underway. I was interviewed by several of the teams, but one team stood out to me, the Vancouver Vandals. The GM, Rabidsponge21, was very sincere in wanting to sign me as their first pick in the draft, and I was excited to see where I would land. I was taken fourth overall, and joined the Vandals team Discord channel. There I met a bunch of new folks, and spent the evening talking with them, and making lots of friends. A couple of days after that, I was taken in the first round by the Minor League's Amarillo Armadillos, and had yet another Discord full of folks to meet and bond with. My rookie season was not the greatest, I was traded to the Kingston Mounties Minors team, and was hoping that my short career would soon turn itself around. Boy did it! Our second season I was named the Minor League MVP, and the Mounties won the World Series! It was a great way to finish out my Minors career, and now it was time for me to move on and to join the Major Leagues. Over my career as a Vandal, we got into the Playoffs 8 times in a row, and all 8 times we lost in the Semi-Finals, even though some of the seasons we had the best record in the league, and were considered the favorites to win it all. In my ninth season in the Majors, an expansion draft happened, and due to salary constraints, I was put on the unprotected list, and was signed by the new Kashima Foxes, who traded me to the Boise Raptors for a #1 draft pick the next season. In my short time with the Raptors, I did the same thing. Both seasons I was with the team before retirement, we got to the Playoffs, and lost in the semi-finals. It was fate I guess that I'd never win a Majors ring, but I had a Minors one, and that was fine by me. I've held several jobs in the PBE: Sim Team, Head Office, Player Progression Job Head, GM of the Minor League Dallas Dynamos, league scheduler, etc etc. It was something I really enjoyed, and I'm so glad that I was able to find out about the ISFL from PBE and join this league as well! Code: 525 words Tier 3: Written/Graphics Tasks (Each must be either 200+ words or a graphic) 29) Awards season is upon us. If you could create an award for anything in the league that doesn’t already exist, what would it be? Who do you think should get it? This one I had to think about for a minute. Most awards for teams involve just winning the Ultimus, and having bragging rights for the next season. But what about having an award like Most Improved Team? Several teams have pretty average seasons, but some teams also take the extra time to scout out and grab draft picks or waivers players that can really improve their success the following season and beyond. There is a lot to consider here. Do we go just by wins and losses? Do we go by point differential, from points for versus points against? So many things to ponder over. But for me personally, the proof is as they say in the pudding. The Wins Losses total is the best overall indicator about how a team did over a season. If it were up to me, I would pick the Honolulu Hahalua, who went 3 wins and 13 losses, and finished this season with a record of 11 wins and 4 losses. Honolulu was last in their division last season, and went all the way to the other end of the spectrum, leading the ASFC and getting all the way to the Conference Championships. Even though they were not able to move on to the next round, it ended up being an amazing season for them, and definitely should be considered as the most improved team of the International Simulation Football League. Code: 237 words. RE: (S27) Ultimus Week - OrvalOverallOveralls - 03-18-2021 12) Write a short biography or story about your player. This could include background about how they came to the ISFL and how they’ve done so far, a story about their role in an exciting game, or anything else related to their experience in the league. Malik stepped onto the field as a mere mortal, but he exited as a demigod. The night-- the grand, illustrious, and significant prospect bowl. The first true taste of Malik F. Doom for all the world to see. The shining lights and the roaring crowd were welcome to him. Malik had hardly stepped onto the field as a waiver wire pick up for the ultimini champion Birddogs so the crowd wasn't ready for what they were about to witness. Malik took the field and sprinted up and down the sidelines for fifteen straight minutes as a warmup. He progressed through a rigorous workout routine right at the 50 yard line and then he screamed to the sky as he ran circles around the field. The opposing teams, the Cows and the Terror Birds, were shell shocked. They hadn't seen someone so crazy before them. Malik strutted down the 50 yard line, eyeing up the competition as he went. He brooded as he stomped to the sideline, scowling at the opposing quarterback. Malik knew his targets well just with one look, but he continued to stare for the entire trip back to the bench. He draped a towel over his head and bobbed back and forth as he played his beats. He shuffled through some other hype rap songs, mainly ones by Kanye and Drake from the early 2010's. Malik tore up the field right from the start, he was a menace to everyone he was slotted against. he was indestructible, a ticking time bomb of ferocious anger fighting and clinging for every inch of ground against the opposing linemen. Malik played three games that night and he never wore out. His drive to win was insatiable, he was a mack truck of brute force careening down the field. He was hyping up teammates on the sideline and banging his helmet off of everything he could. An absolute animal. He fought tooth and nail on every snap, the opponents were petrified. At each halftime, he took one cold shower then a warm one to get him right back on top. The entire time he was in the locker-room his music was blaring enough that those in the stands above him could hear it. He shook the ground as he sprinted back out to the field. He was fighting with all his strength. All his might... He wound up with one tackle for loss on the whole night and it was glorious. Code: 411 words 15) Write about another sim league you are in and which parts of it you enjoy. If you are only in the ISFL, write about your ideas for a sim league with another sport. I am a part of the Professional Baseball Experience as a right handed pitcher named Cooper Casey. I've loved my time in the league. I was drafted by the Dallas Dynamos and then by the Providence Crabs, where I am in my first season since being called up. The first thing I adored about the league is the creativity that goes into the characters/ players in the organization. Then I saw all the graphics for these creative players and really enjoyed it. The same can be said of this league as well, which I adore. I also really enjoy the streams for the PBE, because of OOTP mainly. It allows us to see our players in action but it also allows the games to be run at a slower pace, allowing GM's and other members to be able to call the games as announcers, live. There are some goofy names in the league, which I think is partially because about a dozen or so people are forced into reading it off in a serious manner to anywhere between 60 and 120 live audience members. It's all great fun and if I have other work I want to do, I can at least put it on in the background and I'll be able to listen to the broadcast live. That's how I have to watch baseball sometimes, as I usually have work to do while the games are on. This has been filling that gap for me really well without baseball in the winter. And now I'll be doing the same for the ISFL. Another facet of the PBE that I enjoy is the database page that has all the player renders and our league stats plus individual pages for players as well. I frequent it often, and that's how I keep up with the league most of the time. I'm a huge stats guy and baseball is all about that. Football isn't as important with the specific statistics but it's definitely something I'd like to see/know about if it's a thing already. The PBE also has an updater page that's super handy and I've become so accustomed to it, it's a bit of an adjustment coming over here. The final thing I will make note of in this response is that each lockerroom I've been a part of for the PBE shows what tasks can be done each week. The LR's I see in the DSFL don't have that, just a simple 'a claim has been posted' and I won't know what it is for. In PBE, if I see a task, it's properly labelled as to what it is and how much TPE/money it's worth along with the link that is present. I like that I can do all the tasks when I am able to, just make a few predictions early in the week, same as here, I'll need to get on it. Code: 487 words RE: (S27) Ultimus Week - LimJahey - 03-18-2021 Tell us about your draft class. Is there anything that makes it special in comparison to other classes? Where did your fellow draftees land, how are they doing? Did anyone turn out to be an unexpected steal of that draft based on what you know today? Do you think anyone in your draft class will become a hall of famer? If you’re new to the league, how do you think your class will do? Where do you think people will get drafted to? Oh man where to begin. When I first joined the league it was in the class of S22. When I first joined I didn't know just how big of a class it was, or how to do stuff in the league. Totaling a little over 200 users, the S22 was, and still is the largest out of all of the draft classes, with only the S25 class being remotely close. The first few rounds were comprised of users with previous experience in the league, but for the first overall pick, Austin chose Colt Mendoza, who was known well for his statistical reports on the league, and for his simming prowess. Most teams in the league were very well equipped for the draft, having multiple early round picks to secure players for their future, except for Chicago, who had their first pick excluding a GM pick in the 6th round. One of the other high points of this draft class was the deep talent pool, and draft steals galore. Within this draft class, there were 7 pro bowl caliber players in rounds 8 or later, including Tyron Shields, the best late round selection and one of the biggest draft steals of all time. There are other late round players that have not made a pro bowl, but have made a major impact on their team like Zee Rechs, Sean Snyder, and Von Hayes. With steals also comes busts, and the first round of the draft had many bust players. Players like Phat Boi, and Chester Sweets were drafted in the first round just to have no impact as they were shortly out of the league, and Magnus Rikya is a bust in terms of statistics for a second overall draft pick, not making a single pro bowl as of writing, and having middle of the pack to mediocre stats. If we focus on my team's draft class for S22, for the few amount of picks they had, and how late they were, it might have been one of the best draft selections of all time. Starting off with Benson Bayley Jr, their GM, Bayley was an alright linebacker for the first few seasons of being one. During the S24 season, he changed to Offensive Line, where he would anchor the line as the start of Chicago's wall of O-linemen. Chicago would then go on without a selection up until the sixth round, where they would select runningback Julio Tirtawidjaja. While Julio would never make a pro bowl, he would be a consistent source of yards for Chicago, and is still one of the leagues better performing runningbacks 6 seasons later. One round later, Chicago would select safety Hamish MacAndrew. Hamish is unfortunately no longer on the Butchers. After the S27 season, the Butchers were unable to obtain Hamish and stay under the salary cap, what Hamish left behind was a pro bowl safety who would cover the deep zones for the Butchers from S22 to S27. In the eighth round, the Butchers would proceed to draft their career kicker, Sam Sidekick. Sam Sidekick would make multiple pro bowls as a punter and kicker, and would be consistently one of the best kickers in the league. In the ninth round the Butchers would end up drafting a bust in Abbas Muhammad. Muhammad would never make it to the ISFL, but two of the next Butcher draft picks would end up becoming cornerstones of their franchise. Von Hayes was a tight end, who eventually switched to defensive end. While not making a pro bowl so far, he has been an anchor for the leagues best defensive line, and would consistently be at the top of defensive ends when it came to recording stats. Tyron Shields is a cornerback who was selected in the 11th round. Shields would start out in the DSFL for another season, but would very quickly be called up to the ISFL the very next season where he would play slot cornerback. Shields would end up making multiple pro bowls, and would end up not only being one of the most recognizable players, but the biggest draft steal of all time. After Shields there wouldn't be any more active players selected, all players drafted 127th overall or later, ending at 284th would never make the ISFL, and almost surely got dropped by their DSFL teams. The S22 draft is the most important draft in recent memory, changing the fortunes of franchises who selected well, and sinking those who whiffed. The Butchers could have ended up suffering even worse over the next couple of seasons, being stripped of all valuable picks and next season's first overall pick. But in only 3 seasons after being in the worst position any franchise has ever been in the ISFL, the Butchers would make the playoffs, and have made it every season since, all thanks to their GM's who drafted immaculately during this draft. RE: (S27) Ultimus Week - deadlunatic - 03-18-2021 2) Tell us about your draft class. I must say, my draft class is hands down the best one I have seen since I joined this here league. Season 25 was a reddit class, and pretty darn big, now I know you old timers will feel the need to let me know that it is not the biggest one, that was something season 22 or some such. But, here is the deal, I was not around for that, so it does not matter to me. From my experience, this draft class has been the biggest one, and has a lot of players currently in the ISFL starting as the number one or two guy in their position on each team. Hard to argue with that, just go check the team page and look at how many season 25 guys are on each team. It is quite a lot to be honest. We even have some household names finally. We had some wide receivers in the top twenty for receiving, we had some really good performing corner backs out there. We even had a season 25 quarterback out there on the field finally. Which is really cool, as it seems to take the longest to actually develop into starters for the ISFL. Plus we lost quite a few of the old guys ranging back to seasons sixteen, seventeen, and eighteen. I believe season twenty one is regressing and soon to be season twenty two. So, more and more of us season 25ers are going to be getting into our prime and really showing what we can do as the stars. Granted, I do know a lot of us are stuck behind max earning jerks from season twenty three (I am looking at you darkness), but it still gives us a chance to shine a little bit. I know on my team we have two season twenty five corner backs holding it down, we got me a solid wide receiver two, and a running back from our class. But, that is all on the field stuff, which is not what defines our class as a whole. It is the fact that we have a lot of new users that joined that season. So instead of a ton of recreates, that reddit class brought in a lot of new faces to the game. Not only are there lots of newer players out there on the field, we now are getting more and more involved in the league as a whole. Some of the users jumped in and became rookie mentors from the start, others jumped in and did wiki updating to help make some money. Then you have the guys who became head office interns or helping with the more involved stuff. I know of at least three season twenty five guys that are GMs of DSFL teams this coming season. To me, that is one of the best parts of the class, that we have a lot of guys who jumped in brand new to the league and are now becoming a major part of it. And for all of us season twenty fivers out there, this is only our fourth season in this league, and we already have multiple guys running developmental teams for the coming season. I know there are a lot of great users I have met from all the seasons, but most of the ones I am closest with are the guys I came up with in my first season in the DSFL. My Tijuana Luchadore brothers are one of the main reasons I stuck around beyond the very beginning. Not only that, getting drafted to a ISFL team and making buddies on that team has helped a lot as well. Will the season twenty five group go down as the best ever? Most likely not, but we will be regarded as one of the top draft classes this league has seen for a long time. There is no doubt in my mind, that after we are done, we will have some guys at or near the top TPE ever gained. I can not wait to see how many from season twenty five end up in the hall of fame and of course on the record board. And then on top of that, how many of us will go on to be ISFL GMs of these storied teams? I also know we had a lot of draft day steals because of how large our class was and of course due to the number of inactives that just did not stick around long enough to actually like it. As of right now, I do not know exactly who is going to the hall of fame our of our class, but I would bet on at least one of the corner backs, if not three, and at least two of the wide receivers should be able to make it there. After looking a bit, there are a lot of corner backs with lots of TPE from the season twenty five class, so definitely should be a couple who make it in. I would also say we have a couple of linebackers and some linemen who have really good chances to make it in the hall. But, in the end, only time will tell how good this class ends up being. In another five seasons, what are we going to be saying about this draft class? I would do a few things with it. The first is pay for my sister and my college. College is WAY more expensive than I thought and LSU is like 40k a year which apparently isnt that bad? Either way that would be pretty good to have out of the way. The next thing I would do is buy myself a better gaming setup, I would buy a desk, two monitors, a really good gaming computer, a PS5, and a cool keyboard and then spend some money on a few games. After that I would buy my dad a boat because he likes boats a lot. I would buy my mom a bunch of books because she likes to read, I would buy my sister the 12 bunnies she has always wanted and I would by myself a puppy because who doesnt love puppies? With whatever money I have left I would save to buy a house and a car and put towards that adult stuff but for now I would buy mostly kid stuff, also I would name the puppy Burrow and spend all day with it. 215 words Task 17: Something strange the Pythons have in our team kitchen is Pizza, no Pizza is not weird I just wanted to talk about Pizza for this so yeah uhhh enjoy! There are multiple types of pizza they provide but my favorite is going to be the Pepperoni pizza with bacon and sausage because who doesn't love Bacon??? The best part about this food is the fact that it comes with really good crust and it publicly endorses harassment towards Donuts, ha ha ha Saba. Anyway you may be wondering where the crazy part comes in, well its in the sauce. This is the part of the Pizza I had to unfortunately find out about a few days ago when I went to get a slice after my workout, there is an option to replace the red sauce with mustard… think of how disgusting that is. First, who puts mustard on bread? Then, who puts mustard with cheese??? On top of all off that think about how morarrly wrong that is, its like saying Donuts are bagels or mayo is the best condiment or whatever. I can understand Ketchup because at least ketchup is tomato sauce but MUSTARD ON PIZZA?? Write about the most popular items among your team’s fans and players, or create a graphic showing the menu of featured foods in the stadium. When people come to Silverback Stadium, not only are they treated to watching perhaps the best franchise in the entire league, but they're also blessed with some of the best concessions in all of organized athletics. In addition to the standard fare of top-flight beers and every soft drink known to mankind, we have some 5-star food with 5-star service. Three of our biggest sellers are our Gorilla Griller, Silverback Salsa, and Big City Burger. Despite the name, there's no gorilla meat in our gorilla griller, but that doesn't stop fans from constantly ordering it. It's an eight ounce piece of diagonally cut filet mignon with a side of cooked peppers and onions, with a yeast roll on the side. Some fans decide to eat it as a traditional steak with the roll acting as a juice picker upper, while some decide to make a sandwich out of it. The Silverback Salsa is an enormous tray (think 3 feet long) of artisanal tortilla chips, complete with five of our homemade salsas. Ranging from spicy habanero salsa or traditional salsa verde, to smooth New York cheese dip, we have tons of selections that we routinely cycle through as options. Lastly, our final hot seller is the Big City Burger. Named after New York, this burger is bigger than big. Four 1/2 pound patties, swiss cheese, smoked gouda, vine-ripened tomatoes, red onion, and lettuce from our very own garden here at the stadium. You might be thinking - what's so great about it, it sounds like a regular burger? Well you'd be wrong. In addition to being enormous (two pounds!) we use all local ingredients to make sure this burger isn't just for the 'gram. It's tasty, local, and will never let you down. Come check out all of our options! (299 words) 19) Your player or team made big headlines in the news this week. What did they do, and why did it garner so much attention? I'm not one to toot my own horn, but I was all over the headlines this week and I'm not afraid to admit it. While other teams were busy getting ready for the Ultimus and attending parties, doing media blitzes, or simply using this week to hype themselves up, I traveled to the Congo as a part of our Silverback2Silverback outreach program here in New York. From the moment our mascot was decided, we forged a partnership with the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International to help increase awareness, raise funds, and help in all areas to conserve gorillas in Africa. Not only do we help fund research which helps conservation, but we often send one of our players to the Congo to get hands-on experience caring for and treating gorillas in the wild. This experience was especially rewarding for me as we were able to help heal a previously injured gorilla who had a severe arm wound and eventually release him back to his group in the wild. With gorillas being critically endangered, every gorilla we can save is one that plays a huge role in the global population. After we released him, we shot video and long-distance photography of the troop's movements to better learn about their habitat and social norms. On the final day, we even got to travel to a local school in the area and drop off much needed supplies for the students. It was truly a blessing and I was honored to be chosen by my teammates to go on this wonderful journey. I cannot wait to go back! (264 words) 28) We’ve now finished a whole season in the new sim. What do you think about it? Are things working well for your player and team, or are there changes you think might be made? This year was definitely a challenge for us players. With a brand new sim, a brand new visual interface, and completely different attribute engine, it certainly took some getting used to. Overall, I'm very happy with the new sim. It's much cleaner than the previous version and the addition of the ball traveling through the air on pass plays was a major plus for me. I also feel like it's more graphics friendly and allows teams to use some exceptional logos and more creative avenues when it comes to Color Rush Week. However, it wasn't without its drawbacks. As a safety, I'm sure you guessed that I wasn't entirely thrilled with the new stat distribution. While it may be closer to real life as far as stats and interaction goes, it was an enormous departure from previous seasons. Seeing how involved safeties were is the main reason I created as a safety and I was disappointed to see our role get reduced to almost none. With that being said, it's also nice that I play one of the positions with the fewest reportable stats. It means that if I do make an impact, it was even more important than it would've been in previous seasons. I also appreciate the mod team's patience and tweaking when it came to minor changes. While it might not have been the best for my player specifically, I think it was a great decision for the league as a whole and will keep us ticking for years to come. The additional changes will only reinforce these benefits and I'm excited to see how the league adapts in the years to come. If you are only in the ISFL, write about your ideas for a sim league with another sport. The SHL is my main sim league, and I was brought into the sim sports world by peer pressure, as my gaming friends had joined a season or two prior and wouldn’t shut up about it, so I had to check it out for myself. My player, Rikard Bjerg, plays for the San Francisco Pride in the Simulation Hockey League (SHL), and he just finished up his first season in the big leagues, helping the Pride reach their first playoffs in several seasons. He also played for the Maine Timber in the SMJHL, helping them reach the finals once and have a strong performance in the regular season in 2 other seasons. I’m also the co-GM of the Pride, so I have a management role within the league, allowing me to help the team progress through a rebuild that was started by previous management before the current GM (thatguy91) and I took over. On top of that, I’m also the SMJHL Simmer, which has been an excellent experience so far and I look forward to continuing for a least a few more seasons. Not only has the simming job allowed me to gain the experience of managing a sim, but the daily interaction I get to have with the views in both Twitch and YouTube chat has been amazing. I love a lot of things about the SHL. I love the culture that we’ve built in the San Francisco locker room, which just a few months ago was about as dead as a server could be. Through the work of thatguy91 and myself, and the draftees we’ve brought in, there is new life in the Discord that makes me very optimistic about our future in the league. I also really like the automated banking system the SHL uses, which allows us to purchase training and season coaching all at the press of a button while keeping track of the bank balances automatically. If the ISFL is working on something like that, or is thinking about it, it would encourage me to earn even more money. I don’t know a lot about hockey in real life, so being around people who live and breathe hockey has been an interesting and enjoyable experience. While I don’t think they’ve convinced me to get into the sport quite yet, I wouldn’t be as opposed to watching it on tv as I would have been just over a year ago (before I joined the site). 16) The bank now accepts ISFL currency in exchange for real money – every ISFL dollar counts as $0.50 in the real world. How much money would you exchange, and what would you spend it on? Seeing as of right now I’m extremely poor here in the ISFL, I’d first need to work on earning some money. I’m likely going to utilize the 1.5x draft media bonus here in the next week, so that’s at least a good starting point. After that’s secured (and I’ve gotten enough to pay for training/equipment for a while), I think the smartest thing to do would be to pay off my debt. I’m currently sitting on quite a large amount of college and credit card debt, and it would be easy to convert a small amount of ISFL bucks to pay off that. The next thing I would do would be to invest in both cryptocurrency and the stock market (though likely through a retirement fund of some sort so that I’m set once I eventually stop participating in the ISFL). It would make a tin of sense to put the money away for the future so that I’m not tempted to spend it all on hookers and blow like I imagine some people would. Even at the $0.50 exchange rate, a little bit of money can go a very long way, so any decent amount being transferred would make a significant impact on most users' lives. 28) We’ve now finished a whole season in the new sim. What do you think about it? Are things working well for your player and team, or are there changes you think might be made? The new sim was great for Dallas this season, as we ended up winning the Ultimini. But that can’t all be placed on the new engine, as the GMs in Dallas did an excellent job in making sure the team was ready to make a run deep into the playoffs. I really like the new engine, and I think that the complaints people have will eventually die down as we get more used to how it works. The one thing for me that I don’t like is how quickly the player stats rotate on and off the screen. It could be an entire quarter before you’re able to glimpse how your player is doing if you don’t happen to be staring at the stats screen when it switches over. I really like how active management has been with dealing with player balance, and the mid-season changes were necessary to maintain the integrity of the sim. I’m hoping that they continue to monitor the situations they changed in order to bring balance to the positions that were changed the most, namely Running Back. As someone who is hoping to be a receiving TE, getting some love by reducing the effectiveness of RBs is a step in the right direction.
