RE: (S28) PT 4 - Back to School - furiousPanda - 04-25-2021 As the phone rings from McKyle’s old high school, St. Rita, he was informed that Coach K quit coaching by trying to punch a parent in the face after the rival team was outscoring the Mustangs 53-7. Coach K was a great coach but he was a little bit of a hot head. The athletic director on the phone wants McKyle to help finish off the season with the Mustangs by coaching the team for one game. This is a great opportunity to hone in on coaching and offense skills for the young quarterback while he spends his time in the DSFL. With a great offensive mind, the scheme of the Mustangs needs to change into more of an air raid offense rather than power running. They have a great quarterback and Wide receiver pair. A lot of conference defensive backs could not keep up with the pair but Coach K refused to move away from his schemes. Surely, this will work for the last game of the season and save the playoff chances of the team. During the actual game, the Mustangs were down in the half. Coach McKyle had to talk to the star players to clean up their game. If they want to make it to the next level they need to step up in their game. The Mustangs ended up losing the game after the quarterback got kicked out of the game for punching a ref. Must have rubbed off Coach K. The sports director offered the job to McKyle despite the loss. But McKyle cannot give up his dream to become an ISFL superstar for some hot headed boys in high school. I showed up on the day of the game and went and got acquainted with the players and the other coaches I would be working with during the game. There was a lot of really cool people there and I am glad I got to meet them, but the truth was I was scared out of my mind. I had never really coached before and I really had no experience in the subject and I want sure what to do. I decided that I would do a strategy of giving the ball to my running back a lot and letting him go up the field. I hoped that would work. The opening kickoff of the game started poorly. My receiver did not catch the ball and ended up letting the other team get it and score a touchdown on the opening play. Not a good start. From ther things did not get better at all. We ended up giving up 50 points in the first half and then 40 more in the second. We scored a touchdown in the 4th, but I think it was out of pity. Not good. I would not recommend coaching unless you know what you are doing. Take the advice from me. RE: (S28) PT 4 - Back to School - Big Edd - 04-25-2021 Some people may believe Big Edd would be a terrible coach at any level of football, but this is far from the truth. Big Edd is a very skilled gamer and plays a heck ton of madden everyday. He has been able to learn every team's playbooks through and through. As a matter of fact, this si why he has been so successful as a player in the league. Anyways, back to the PT. On the very first series I bet thee team stinks a lot because Edd will probably be super hungry and needs to be fed. He will end up taking an entire 1st quarter to fill up his belly. By now, the opposing team is probably up 28-0, but this is when the fun begins. Edd will call his great friend Bill Belichicken for some cheating tactics to help the team get back in the game. The players will be very hesitant to collaborate and buy into the cheating ways, but they will eventually join in. Soon or later the score will be tied at halftime. The other team will not know what even hit them as the half opens, Edd will actually hop into the game himself and consuming the opposing quarterback. WIthout a starting QB the other team will flee in fear and automatically forfeit the game. Woohoo the end. It looks the same as it did on his last day of school ten years prior. His old football coach, Engram Pattersky has just resigned due to a health scare. Pattersky called up Witten the day before, asking his most successful player to return home to coach a game while the school looks for a replacement. Witten is an all-around football player with a great strategic mind and a knack for leadership and inspiration. Witten meets with the players of the Rush-Henrietta Royal Comets that evening before the game. He is fairly familiar with the playbook and concepts run by the school. He used to know that playbook by heart. He walks in to the locker room and the players are starstruck. Witten is famous in the area due to his great success in the pros. Witten tells them that they will do what they have been taught by their fantastic previous coach. They need to leave everything on the field in support of Coach Pattersky. Before the game, Witten coaches and offers technique pointers in the brief time leading up to the game and throughout. After going down 21-3 to start the game, Witten makes some halftime adjustments, and the Royal Comets streak to a 45-24 blowout over the rival East High Echos. After four straight years of State Championships. they've now missed the playoffs for 4 straight years. As a result, their fantastic head coach has finally been fired. Of course, Jackson Hole's win streak and losing streak both coincide with the arrival and departure of legendary Jackson Hole linebacker Big Slammu. Big Slammu terrified offences, both literally and figuratively. He averaged over 40 sacks and 200 tackles a season during his highschool career, as he led his team to an undefeated four year record. He was unlockable from his OLB spot as he dominated every game. Of course, he ended up being the most highly recruited player in Wyoming Highschool football history as a 5 star recruit, but he was deemed to be pro ready immediately after highschool so he skipped the college experience and went directly to the pros. He may have to come back to highschool again as he has been named the interim head coach. Big Slammu is excited for the opportunity as he's eager to pass on the skills he has developed in the pros to the wide eyed group of youngsters in his locker room. It remains to be seen if Big Slammu really has the makings of a coach, but darn, he's just so good at football that Jackson Hole felt like it was worth a shot.
