The thread makes 0 sense in how he uses it. My interpretation of it is still more logical than the reality. Also, did you really fucking get involved with this shit when media is 2 months backlogged? As a grader and HO, you are really gonna shit on PBE like this? I think the reason no one did in this case was because this is such a open and shut case... you knew the results and posted a mock... kinda black and white ya know. That doesn’t make it right to not contact you, so you’re right, someone should have talked to you ahead of time. I’ll gladly F off but I’m also the only HO having a discourse with you and others about the decision. I don’t want HO to be making decisions behind closed doors and then never explaining their thought processes ya know? My "Appeal" - MrStennett - 12-04-2018 At the risk of being ostracized from the community early in tenure here, I’d say Kolbe kind of has a point. In my short time here, I’ve seen repetitively harsh punishments for things that I would imagine reasonable adults would be able to work through. It seems as though this HO has a scorched earth policy when it comes to “justice” though, which seems more than a bit heavy-handed. I read Kolbe’s article before I did my mock draft. I got two answers right. It helped me no more or no less than my own wits did. Having not known when draft discussions began, I viewed it as opinion, as I do all media. I understand rules are built to be followed, but an empire does no favors to itself by razing cities to the ground. We both lost two seasons of mock if I read correctly. It might have been the same argument, but because there was more discussion in my post than his, it's easier to see how consistently I only used what a normal user could know. That consistent refusal to even somewhat include war room info should be taken into account. Also, the fact that mine was public, to the whole league, not just to teammates I wanted to hook up. ...okay. Yeah, if you refused to discuss it I'd have hammered you for that, so I did put you in a no-win there. But yes, you should have reached out. It would have made for a fairer, more complete investigation and just been courteous. And given that I believe you believe I had no harmful intentions and that this wasn't an urgent matter, courtesy was warranted. When I fell asleep, the only leaking consequences I had to worry about resulted from a thin sock. I think some of your biggest points would have stopped before they started had you contacted me and seen the discord post days before the pre-draft. That, along with some of the other points I made, I think really put this in a different light. So, thank you for making an attempt to own up to it and explain the logic. I don't want to stay mad at you. I respect and even like you. But waking up to this, and having it come from someone I respected and liked, made this a pretty shitty day, and I hope something is learned from that. That's also my quarterback <3 My "Appeal" - Oles - 12-04-2018 I had no plans of posting in here, but I will since it's got some heat. First off number's punishment was 5 seasons, we cut that in half and rounded down to get your punishment. Now, as for leaking itself. First up, I'd say pick number 2 is a good spot to start. You have said that Slm made this info public multiple times, yet he did not. A team's locker room is not making it public, messaging it to you is not making it public, you saying it to Outlaws LR is not making it public. A discord channel that is only open to players on the team is not making the pick public, and if slm would have made a similar post saying Hike Mughes was the Outlaws pick, after round 1 had completed, he would have faced a similar punishment. This info was never made public prior to the draft, he could've told you maddox was pick number 2, but ultimately you cant confirm that until the draft happens. That's where my main leaking belief lies and why I think a punishment was fair. We received multiple pieces of evidence that prove you had access to the draft before you posted the media, and people in war rooms are restricted from making mock drafts and similar posts when the draft has started, to try and prevent leaking. Also doing other stuff as media is not evidence that you wouldnt try to cheat the system, we cannot take past media articles or actions into account and form an opinion based on that, we have to use the evidence given to us as the only source, or else we are subject to bias and punishing people based on how we feel about you instead of the situation brought before us. We felt the evidence was severe enough that punishment was necessary, and as always you can appeal to the board.
