He's behind 5 other RBs with 100+ carries, 2 by an entire yard per carry.YPC is such a stupid way to judge RBs, with the sim the more carries you get, the more your efficiency goes down. So it’s obvious that guys in an RBBC like Canton or Summer, even Adams are getting higher YPC numbers. *A look at the top 6 tailbacks through week 8 - manicmav36 - 01-04-2019 (01-04-2019, 02:28 AM)YoungTB Wrote:YPC is such a stupid way to judge RBs, with the sim the more carries you get, the more your efficiency goes down. Obviously a guy with 100 carries should average more than the guy with 200 carries, he's going to be more rested. But, take Canton for instance. He has 48 less carries, and only 76 less yards. That's only 1.6 yards per carry over the next 48 to equal Brown's average. That's far worse than even the worst game of his career. He's just been more efficient. *A look at the top 6 tailbacks through week 8 - YoungTB - 01-04-2019 (01-04-2019, 02:36 AM)manicmav36 Wrote:I agree to an extent. The reason why Canton has such a high YPC is because of one freak career game that is almost impossible to attain. 22 rushes on 166 yards. How many sims does it take for him to hit that? Basically he’s just riding on that one game and getting limited carries. Whenever he gets 25+ carries like Brown does almost every single game then his YPC falls back down to Earth. *A look at the top 6 tailbacks through week 8 - manicmav36 - 01-04-2019 (01-04-2019, 02:47 AM)YoungTB Wrote:If you’re looking at just YPC and not looking at literally any game then sure, he has been more efficient. That's not entirely true. He's had 6 games this season with 20 or more carries and he averages about 5 YPC in those games ...although in the 1 game he hit above 30 carries he averaged 4.2. If we take away Brown's best game of 30 carries for 160 his average drops to only 4 YPC. You can't just eliminate games for one player and ignore it for another. Canton has been better on the ground... so far. There's still 6 games left. Brown has a clear edge over him in the air. As I said before, it will be a close race between the 3 and it's exciting for everyone to see 3 new names as a possibility for RBOTY. *A look at the top 6 tailbacks through week 8 - run_CMC - 01-04-2019 Volume is such a stupid way to judge RBs, with the sim the more carries you get, the more your yards goes up. So it’s obvious that guys in a primary back offense like Brown are getting higher total yards numbers. *A look at the top 6 tailbacks through week 8 - BWIII - 01-04-2019 man ya'll sleeping on my boy Rico Flores, best damn pure runner in this league. He'd do just about everything and then sleep with your girl on the side. You're lucky I don't unleash him upon this league, but that would just be too evil so I keep him on a short lease and only let him out in short bunches. Consider yourselves thankful. *A look at the top 6 tailbacks through week 8 - iamslm22 - 01-04-2019 (01-04-2019, 04:20 AM)BWIII Wrote:man ya'll sleeping on my boy Rico Flores, best damn pure runner in this league.
