(S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - ScorpXCracker - 03-19-2019 Dorfus right now is vigorously running through corn fields as fast as he can, while playing the banjo. This drill is great for him as it improves his speed on the field and it allows him to run away from fans off the field. Dorfus is also trying to figure out what a Seawolf is. He is pretty sure it's a wolf that fell into the sea, but still isn't sure. He can't wait to meet one in the locker room, though he is hesitant they bite. Dorfus is futilely trying to figure out all of his new teammates names, although he knows it is of no point, he will forget them all. Dorfus thinks he will eventually be able to remember all the teams in the DSFL, but even then that might be a stretch for him (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - Furrand - 03-19-2019 What else is there to do? Kota is out for redemption (see his most recent media post) after he felt disrespected in the DSFL draft and scouting process. He is working hard in the gym to get better. He is working on the field to impove He is working in the film room to get smarter. Kota is becoming prepared for the biggest job of his life. Kota is going to be ready for this season. He is doing everything he can to get bigger, faster, and stronger and become one of the (if not the) best OL this league has ever seen. (103 words) (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - SouljaBoy2007 - 03-19-2019 Lamont McKinnie has been working as hard as he possibly can to earn and maintain a starting job on the Solar Bears. Lifting weights, dieting, exemplary work in practice, watching hours of film, and spending extra time running sprints and other drills after practice with coaches. In the little bits of time he has in between workouts and practices, he's either sleeping or socializing with teammates. He seems really dedicated to improving as much as possible during this preseason and throughout the whole DSFL season. Most weeks he'll only take one day off to spend with his girlfriend or family. McKinnie says his extra workouts will decrease going into the actual season to prevent too much wear and tear, but for now he's gonna do as much work to improve as possible. (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - soryantyler - 03-19-2019 This pre-season and like every day besides Sundays I'm at the gym. I'm training at the gym to get bigger, faster and stronger. This offseason I've gotten faster and I've gotten stronger all for my first full season. My boy Lee and I been grinding in here bro. This man has helped me tremendously on and off the field. The fact that I was drafted higher than he was is crazy. We both in this gym in Portland grinding hard to be the best duo anyone has ever seen. The fact that we on the same pro team isn't even believable. (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - killerking - 03-19-2019 Franklin Cooper just got drafted. Franklin Cooper has moved to San Antonio. I convinced my parents to move there so I can still live in the basement. Don't worry I totally have my own space though. I have been checking out the Marshall's facilities got to get my beach body ready for the summer most importantly this season where yours truely will make a name and show there were 81 mistakes made before him. But right now I'm just happy to be drafted to a great organization with great people and most importantly they are given me a campus where I can produce the masterpiece you will see this season. (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - Duilio05 - 03-19-2019 Walt Green spent the draft drinking and partying with family friends and supporters. He’s bummed that His favorite team Portland Pythons didn’t draft him. However, knowing he was the second safety off the board is a huge mentality boost seeing that all his hard work before the draft paid off. Now Walt has moved to San Antonio and is getting comfortable in his new apartment. His rookie salary just hit his bank account he is beginning to realize his dream of playing professional football is about to come true. Besides spending all day with coaches and players practicing and training, Walt is also socializing with teammates going out to dinner, seeing local attractions and making connections. Of course, the older players are giving him the old rookie hazing, they stuck Walt with a $1,372 bill for burgers, appetizers, beer, and top-shelf whiskey. Marshal Up (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - smaxx77 - 03-19-2019 Timmy Hoss is training hard for his DSFL debut. He is hitting the gym working hard to increase his speed and his strength. He wants to be prepared to get open and catch a ball on every play. In addition, he hopes his increased strength will help him contribute to creating rushing offense. Since being drafted to San Antonio, Timmy has enjoyed going for jogs around the city. “It sure does get hot here,” the transplant from upstate New York was quoted as saying. “But I like the increased difficulty. I feel like I’m getting a lot more out of my workouts. San Antonio may be a new experience to me, but I’m trying to make the most of it.” (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - Baron1898 - 03-19-2019 Ever since draft night, Morgan Marshall has been preparing for his first season in the developmental league. After a summer workout mainly focusing on building speed, Marshall has been constantly working with trainers in the Marshals facilities to drill routes and improve technical proficiency, whether that’s in route running or in rushing. He’s been engaging in workouts and drills with teammates in practice and studying film to work on the finer tuned aspects of his game, staying long hours in the afternoon to catch balls and improve flexibility. Marshall has also spent much time getting to know the San Antonio region and meeting up with fellow rookies, including running back draftee Max Vaz. (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - Rising Equinox - 03-19-2019 Write about what your player is doing this preseason to improve/prepare for the upcoming NSFL/DSFL season? What is Lanzer Grievous doing to prepare for the upcoming DSFL season? Obviously, he has been training, going to the gym, etc just like normal. Nothing has really changed very much regarding his work ethic, because he has always pushed his body to its limits. The biggest thing Lanzer is doing to improve and prepare himself is pretty simple; he's getting to know his teammates. Several of his fellow rookies that were drafted by the Portland Pythons also played for the Cobras in the Prospect Bowl, just like he did. Although he already knows those few guys very well, he's using the pre-season to try to get to know everyone. A statement from Lanzer says, "If you want to form a championship caliber team, you have to be more than just a 'team'. You have to form a family-like bond with your teammates and earn your way to a championship." If you and you're teammates never get along, it's very difficult to be successful. (S14) Bonus Mini Pre-Season PT - PaytonM34 - 03-19-2019 What is Brave Ulysses doing in the preseason to prepare for his rookie year in the DSFL? Eating... Eating and lifting heavy ass weight, cuz everyone wants to be huge but no one wants to lift no heavy ass weight. Ulysses is planning on winning the starting Right Tackle job with the Tijuana Luchadores, and to do so, he's going to have to prove that he can block the best of the best from San Antonio and Palm Beach. Ulysses took the rest of The Wall out for dinner on Sunday night to try and get the good vibes going. He plans on learning under veteran lineman Blake Mcargue, and be a part of the historical Tijuana Wall that has been assembled. 122 |
