*Post-Week 6 DSFL Award Watch - timeconsumer - 04-03-2019 idk who Nero Alexander is. Do you mean 43 Alexander? Cause that guy is a stud. Seriously, great article. *Post-Week 6 DSFL Award Watch - terriblehippo - 04-03-2019 (04-03-2019, 11:42 AM)Duilio05 Wrote:Not going argue Jones should be a head of me in award rankings. Can't believe I did that :\ *Post-Week 6 DSFL Award Watch - shadyshoelace - 04-03-2019 (04-03-2019, 06:04 AM)manicmav36 Wrote:Fantastic work! This was a really tough call, and looking back at it I probably made the wrong one. You can chalk it up to me still learning how the sim works and stats are distributed. I think that while looking at past results and seeing that LBs tend to win the defensive awards, I may have added a layer of projection to those awards (that is, instead of just looking at performance, I considered how LBs tend to consistently rack up stats throughout the season while DBs seem to go on runs of hot and cold games that make their current stats less indicative of where they'll end up). Man, I really wanted to put Green/Jones/Bode (in whatever order) top 3 for the defensive awards! It was basically just a function of not wanting to look like I'm favoring San Antonio players too hard ¯\_(?)_/¯ *Post-Week 6 DSFL Award Watch - plantane - 04-03-2019 Armstrong “singlehandedly” lost the game for us? Are you f*cking kidding me? Do you think that game would’ve even been competitive without him at the helm? He threw some bad throws, for sure, but get the f*ck out of here with blaming one man for everything. Some “analysis” this is... *Post-Week 6 DSFL Award Watch - Duilio05 - 04-03-2019 (04-03-2019, 12:01 PM)shadyshoelace Wrote:Man, I really wanted to put Green/Jones/Bode (in whatever order) top 3 for the defensive awards! I got tackled 3 times at the 1 yard line. SMH *Post-Week 6 DSFL Award Watch - shadyshoelace - 04-03-2019 (04-03-2019, 10:30 AM)plantane Wrote:Armstrong “singlehandedly” lost the game for us? I still put the guy in contention for league MVP, it's not like I'm saying he's terrible. In my opinion, when a QB throws two touchdowns to the other team in a one-score game, that result falls on his shoulders. He also threw a third pick that put the Marshals on the Portland 31 yard line, which they converted for a TD - that's 21 out of 31 points off of Armstrong turnovers. You can play well for most of a game AND blow the game on a couple plays, they aren't mutually exclusive. Who else would you blame? The defense that held San Antonio to their lowest yardage total of the season? The running backs that gashed SA for 120 yards in the first half before Amstrong threw two pick-sixes? *Post-Week 6 DSFL Award Watch - timeconsumer - 04-03-2019 (04-03-2019, 02:30 PM)plantane Wrote:Armstrong “singlehandedly” lost the game for us? In all seriousness great article and happy for all my teammates making big plays *Post-Week 6 DSFL Award Watch - Rradum - 04-04-2019 Hopefully since I'm starting to focus on training speed more, I can actually get away from defenders when I catch the ball and be a little more flashy. |
